"We stayed at this property in Cornwall for 3 days and were very impressed by how beautiful and clean the space was."

The home is well maintained, and the kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed to cook and enjoy our stay comfortably. However, we did experience a few issues. The hot water ran out twice during our stay, which was quite inconvenient, especially with a group. It would have been helpful if guests were given control over the hot water settings or hot water should be on always. Additionally, no extra towels or bedding were provided. After regular use, towels can become damp or dirty, so it would have been reasonable to have spares available. When we requested more, we were told that everything needed was already at the property, which was disappointing. We were also surprised to find there were no basic cleaning supplies for the bathroom—no bleach, and the toilet brush provided was extremely dirty, which didn’t feel hygienic. Overall, the stay was enjoyable and the property itself is lovely, but a few improvements in guest amenities and responsiveness would make a big difference.

Thank you so much for booking with us and for your feedback, so glad you enjoyed your stay. We have done our best to set the house up for guests and improve when new suggestions or recommendations provided. As we said when you requested extra bedding, it is something offered to guests staying over a week. We will consider this for shorter stays going forward. Re the hot water, this a first for guests but will update the house manual. As you know we can instantly boost too as we did when you reported to us. The tank is vast and should be plenty for 8 guests. Finally we will also liaise with the changeover team and touch up on that side. - Thank you. Property Owner

"A fantastic stay in the Cornish sunshine."

Fair view was the perfect base for exploring the Roseland Peninsula. The house is beautiful and functional (we were grandparents, parents and two small children) and is comfortable and convenient for holiday life. We loved the big open plan kitchen, diner and living room for breakfasts and dinners. It was great for visiting local beaches, as well as St Mawes and Falmouth.

Thank you for booking with us and for your kind feedback. Please do spread the word and book again if you are looking to stay in the area again. Property Owner

    "It is a lovely property."

    1. The property smelt musty/damp on entry. 2. There was no instructions on what/where/how to use the property (other than a sticker on the wall). 3. Disappointed that there was no 'welcome pack' - just some basics after a long drive - e.g. pint of milk, some tea bags.

Hi Peter Thanks for booking a stay at Fairview, and for your feedback We have sorted out the information file - we didn’t realise it had been removed from the property We try hard to keep the house “fresh” which is tricky when we get voids. We have a ventilation system that works 24/7 365 pumping fresh air into the house, but appreciate it can be a bit musty for a couple of hours on arrival As for a welcome pack we choose not to offer this (we don’t advertise that we do) to reduce waste and trying to cater for everyone would be very tricky Hope you understand, and thank you again for booking to stay with us Property Owner

Very well equipped property with comfy beds and plenty of hot water for everyone. Explored lots of Cornwall with trips to Lands End, St Michael’s Mount, Looe, Falmouth, Portscatho to name a few. Great local pubs just 5 min drive away and lots of walking too. All in all a great stay and would definitely recommend. Hope to come back again in the future
