Outside your enclosed garden gives you stunning views across the glorious Cotswolds countryside (ideal for the very welcome pooch should you wish to bring it) . The historic village of Blockley is very peaceful and picturesque, yet benefits from having two pubs and a community owned village shop & café, as well as a historic Norman church in the centre of the village. Numerous beautiful country walks are accessible directly from the cottage and Blockley is well located for visiting the many beautiful towns and villages of the Cotswolds. Truly idyllic. The views are amazing, beautiful location, two pubs and a shop within walking distance.

We did 2 great walks straight from the accommodation. Nice garden, although needs a bit of a trim so you get to see those lovley views. Found everything we needed. One complain, the bed in the back bedroom squeaks like mad. ... enjoy our stay

The location and view from Throwers Cottage was amazing and absolutely the best part.

There is a lovely garden overlooking a field of deers and Blockley village is idyllic. Throwers Cottage itself is tired, the interiors a bit drab and old. It could all do with an update inside. The information booklet is years old with outdated info inside. Overall it was clean, the beds and bathroom were clean however the fridge smelt revolting when we first arrived, I think because it had been turned off for some time. The microwave was also in a disgusting state covered in old food inside. There were also lots of cobwebs and dust around. We were overall happy to stay because the view from the garden and the location were great but we would not book this place again.
