Blundell's Cottage

We have visited Broadway several times in the past but never stayed there.

We loved Blundell Cottage, sitting quietly on the upper end of the High Street. Very quiet and secluded but within a couple of minutes walk of the busy day time High Street. The welcome addition of private parking just a 100 yards away enhanced our holiday further. We also took our chocolate Labrador and the gated garden made it safe to leave her outside in the shade whilst we occupied the cottage. Quite a few pubs available to eat which had friendly staff and decent beer gardens. Good variety of food and drink available at all pubs/ restaurants. Family of four can get pricey though. We also visited the Indian restaurant situated at the lower end of the High Street opposite The Swann Inn. It didn’t disappoint. Just to have a break from pub grub we went to Broadway deli who had a good variety of nibbles. In my opinion, Broadway offers more to see and do for the holiday makers than the other villages nearby. Broadway is busy in the day but very quiet at night. The cottage was lovely and had everything went needed for a comfortable stay. We even had a little welcome pack to start our holiday in a positive way. We will definitely return.

The cottage is perfect .

The location on upper high street .. secluded and not overlooked - secure for our dog . The rooms are a grea my size & it’s very well stocked for self catering . The walk into the village is stunning . The private parking space is a bonus innthusxarea & we didn’t use our car all week. The variety of wonderful shops to explore & a 40 min walk up to Broadway tower for a coffee & to admire the views . Can’t wait to go back and do it all again .

Beautiful property in a peaceful location

We have just had a lovely break staying in Blundels Cottage.

A lovely comfortable and clean house at the quiet end of Broadway but only a 10 minute walk to the shops and restaurants. We were happy with the car parking space provided 5 mins walk away. It wasn't clear if there was a separate freezer to the fridge and was pleased to find there was - in the little store area at the side of the kitchen, although it was a small table top freezer we appreciated it. Beds were lovely and comfortable although we felt the pillows could have been better quality. The shower was ok - a bit small but understand no space for a bigger one. Heating was good and easy to use. A lovely walled garden which got the sun in the afternoon/evening. We liked the Crown And Trumpet pub which gets the sun in beer garden in afternoon/evening. The chippy (Russells) was excellent. Snowshills Manor (National Trust) is only 5 mins drive and is well worth a visit. We would be happy to stay in Blundels Cottage again

This was my second holiday in Blundells Cottage and like the first did not disappoint.

The house was warm on arrival (late November) There was a welcome pack which was a lovely touch and as soon as we unpacked it was a home from home. Everything that you could possibly need was there. I hope to return again.

Well placed for enjoying the delights of Broadway, with a short walk into the village centre. (my only comment would be that a port for charging my phone would have been useful)

Lovely stay at blundells cottage would recommend loved being in broadway no need to use a car ,plenty of Lovely shops restaurants and pubs with the cottage only being five minutes walk away from them .

Great to have a parking space 5 mins away also ,would definitely stay here again very clean tidy Lovely little garden ,only negative the tv needs to be updated and the stairs are a bit steep and a funny angle at the top but would not stop our party from staying here again excellent.

Great location at Broadway where you can walk into the village to the lovely tea rooms / restaurants etc. Having the private parking space was a great addition and is only a couple minutes walk from the property. The cottage had everything you needed. We took our dog and felt the garden was very safe and secure for him. Would recommend Blundell’s Cottage as a relaxing place to stay.

Super cottage, ideally located, we loved our stay and have rebooked in mid-December to see the Broadway Christmas lights and to start the festivities.

We found the accommodation very clean ( apart from the washing machine detergent dispenser draw, which I cleaned myself as it was quite mouldy - it happens ! ) and the bed linen was very comfy and fresh. The kitchen is really well equipped and the little freezer was a God-send, as our dog’s food is supplied frozen . Only a few points of constructive criticism to consider for improvement….. * mismatched furniture didn’t really enhance the ambiance in the lovely lounge . * the TV is rather small for such a large room. * the clothes airer is really small ( we used it to dry our towels outside as the weather was fine and dry ) and has a missing bar . A taller new replacement would good. * the latch to the wrought Iron gate, needs attention as it does not allow the gate to close securely. There is no ironwork on the opposite pillar so it has to be wedged against the stonework, which isn’t ideal and can be awkward. We visit Broadway regularly , as we used to live there, so we are so happy to have found a lovely cottage that suits our needs and hope to return often in the future. We had a lovely time. We enjoyed a lovely week at Blundell’s Cottage.

It is very quiet, yet convenient and the reserved parking space is a bonus. The cottage was very comfortable and relaxing with a secluded outdoor space for when the sun is shining. It was a great base for hiking and visits in this gorgeous area.

Location is perfect, very peaceful and quiet, only a short walk into village.

Private car park very good only 5 minutes away. The cottage was clean and tidy, a few cobwebs here and there, spacious downstairs but cramped upstairs. Double bed is too small and I didn't sleep well at all. I was shocked when I looked at the back of headboard, the skirting boards were thick with dust, not good. Bedding was clean and fresh though. Shower room is tiny but ok. Garden was ideal for our dog, safe and secure. The owner dealt with an issue with shower very quickly and it didn't stop us from going out. I hope the owner reads reviews, and acts on them. This Cottage could be a 5 star with a little more attention to cleaning. When we go on holiday we expect the same standards we are used to at home, and I am sure other people do too. Broadway is a lovely place.

We had a lovely weeks holiday in Blundell Cottage, it was warm, cosy, very well equipped and spotlessly clean.

Blundells cottage is a lovely property to stay in , in a great location at the north end of broadway high street within a short walking distance to shops , great pubs and restaurants, the private parking space a real bonus and only a short walk from the property, we found the property well maintained, comfortable and very clean and well equipped would definitely recommend

A beautiful property in a great location.

The private parking space is just a couple of minutes down the road and is a real bonus. The house has absolutely everything you need and more and is spotless! A fantastic location and a gem of a property for a holiday in the Cotswolds.

My only gripe is the timing.

We have been renting cottages in the UK for well over 20 years and times have changed dramatically. They started to change gradually about 10 years ago but after Covid with extra cleaning restriction there was a big change. Obviously at the time we could understand why. The problem is they have never gone back to pre covid times; the rental companies have taken advantage of the Covid situation. It is extremely inconvenient when you have been travelling many hours and all you want is to sit down peacefully with a cup of tea but you have to hang around until 4pm. As we have a long journey we like to start early to avoid some of the heavy traffic. Also having to leave at 9am is very early it always used to be about 10am. I really think the rentals could help us out on this one.

A lovely cottage in a great location.

A lovely garden to sit in. There were a couple of issues. The key to the front door is bent and looks like it has been for sometime. It is endanger of snapping and we had to use the kitchen door to enter the property. The bathroom is a bit tired. The shower could do with an upgrade. The towel rail needs to be independent to the heating system as in the summer when the hearings not on and it’s mild weather - the towels don’t dry.

What a pleasure to arrive at Blundell's Cottage ,it was spotless and so comfortable .

Excellent quality furnishings and fittings .We were able to sit out in the courtyard garden to enjoy meals ,with a pretty summerhouse to sit in when the evening turned chilly. Quiet end of Broadway high Street-easy to walk down to the shops and cafes. We will re book for next year . Sue Gibbling

We really enjoyed our break in this beautiful cottage which was in a good position in Broadway.

The living room was very spacious and the kitchen well equipped. The garden was lovely. Would definitely recommend to family and friends.

Comfortable cottage in a peaceful location.

All the necessary facilities were there. Some of the information sheets in the info folder could do with updating.

Key safe was difficult to operate.

Accommodation downstairs was excellent, upstairs was cramped and smaller then expected. Overall was an enjoyable stay.

It was very much like home from home, very well equipped. We would definitely recommend and stay again. I would be nice to have a King Size bed :-)

We had such a good holiday in the cottage perfect location no car needed once we arrived.

It was very quiet and comfortable. Having the double gates before getting out made us confident our dog was safe in the lovely walled garden. There was everything we needed and it was easy to find great places to walk, eat and shop. The local information provided was very useful . A really good find we have already decided to return as also perfect also for a weekend break.

What a wonderful place Blundell‘s Cottage was to stay for a week.

We loved it so much, we didn’t want to leave. It had everything you could possibly need and was situated in a perfect location, on a very quiet, picturesque Cotswold stone street. All amenities were within walking distance, including great local pubs, a supermarket, shops and access to the public footpath to Broadway Tower which was almost directly across the road. Thank you very much, we would love to come back in the not too distant future!

Been here on a few occasions and love it.

Everything is great. Warm, comfortable, cosy and well situated in Broadway.

Great place to stay in Broadway , Proper home from home , 5 minutes walk to shops , pubs and restaurants.

Great location, lovely house.

The only thing that stopped me rating 5 stars was all the cobwebs, especially in the downstairs loo. Otherwise the house was perfect for a family of four and our French bulldog. Broadway is a beautiful village with so much to see and do. The house was warm and cosy. We will be returning!

Blundell's Cottage is the perfect place to stay in Broadway.

It's very conveniently located but in a quiet, relaxing area. There is everything you need in the cottage and it is very comfortable, bed included which is must in our view! Parking can be a problem in Broadway but there is a designated parking spot for Blundell's Cottage just a short walk away. There is nothing negative to say and we would certainly recommend it.

A wonderful stay in the Cotswalds.

The weather was great and we did enjoy the walking though the climb to Broadway Tower was hot work! Blundells is .much more than a Cottage. It's situation is quiet. We loved eating in the garden. Beds were so comfortable .Restaurants and pubs provided three good meals but mostly we enjoyed eating in. Trips to other Cotswold villages were enjoyed and above all we were thrilled to have two UK relations to stay as our guests for three days with us their Canadian family. Thank you for such a good English country holiday!

Very spacious for a 2- bed cottage and very well equipped. The location and cottage were wonderful as was the village of Broadway. We had a fantastic break and would definitely book again

Cottage very good but tv needs updating with newer larger model.

This is a lovely cottage - quiet and away from the main street, but close enough to enjoy everything Broadway has to offer.

It was clean and comfortable, with a very pleasant garden for sitting out. My only comment, as a disabled person, I found the garden steps a challenge - perhaps a handrail?

We had a great stay.

The cottage had everything we needed and was really comfortable for 4 of us and a new born. Lovely little garden and patio out the back and brilliant and quiet location in Broadway.

A well equipped cottage with private parking nearby and easy access to Broadway village centre & local walks.

If you're arriving late bring provisions as the welcome pack is very, very basic ! The shower cubicle is tiny by the way as is the TV in the lounge. Nice garden for sitting out in the warmer weather although plastic flowers in hanging baskets are a definite no no ! All in all an enjoyable stay with the aforementioned reservations.

Delightful cottage in one of the quietest prettiest spots on the High Street - easy walking distance to good restaurants and pubs.

Very warm and comfortable inside, spotlessly clean and tastefully furnished. Also very well equipped with everything provided to make your stay enjoyable. The courtyard garden is a delight - sat in the summer house on a sunny afternoon even though it was February! And you can see Broadway Tower from the landing window! The private parking space is a huge plus as well. We had a wonderful week to celebrate our wedding anniversary and we would love to stay here again when we return to our favourite place to visit.

We love Blundell’s.

Would recommend, especially for couples as there’s a log fire we really enjoy using, although the central heating is quite sufficient. It has a well equipped kitchen, comfy beds, lots of hot water and great WiFi. The location is great, peaceful and ideal for a walk into town. Owner is great and quick to respond if needed. We are looking forward to returning at the end of the year.

We’ve stayed in Broadway before - it’s a lovely village and the walk up to Broadway Tower is a nice one.

Very handy location for driving around the other Cotswolds villages. The cottage is ideally located off the Main Street a short walk to parking bay and the village centre. Secure garden for the dog and would be a nice place to sit with great privacy in better weather. The only gripe we have is that the cottage is a bit ‘tired’, in the bathroom & loo in particular ( yes tired, not ‘shabby chic’) and the standard of cleaning could have been much better - dirty kitchen worktops, mouldy shower cubicle (which was very small), cooker hood switches very greasy, fridge unclean, downstairs loo dirty etc - lest there be any doubt we do have pictures of all this. If this was attended to, we would not hesitate to recommend. But as previous owners & operators of self catering cottages ourselves, we did expect a better standard.

Perfect cottage to explore Broadway - quiet location opposite the Cotswolds Way walk and near the bustling village centre with lots of shops and places to eat.

Surprisingly large living room for size of house with huge windows so lovely and light. Parking just a short walk away which is so useful.

A little Gem was found, peaceful location but only a five minute walk to high street, the cottage had all the facilities you could wish for and cleanliness excellent, Plus parking included which was a bonus!

Nice quite terrace to sit and relax. I would recommend some more towels on arrival and the shower was a bit small, but clean and hot enough.

Cottage delightful and Broadway a lovely place to be. I would recommend this property to anyone who would like a holiday in the Cotswolds. I definitely would like to return there and spend more time in Broadway itself..

We have just returned from relaxing stay at Blundell's Cottage in Broadway.

I cannot fault the cottage at all, it had all the facailities we needed and provided a wondeful base for exploring the Cotswolds. The cottage is appointed to a very high standard and it was easy to find - the garden was particularly nice and a real sun trap in the evening. It is just a five minute walk into the village where there are a number of good pubs and cafes. We enjoyed walking from the cottage into the beatiful countryside and there was plenty for us to do all week. Thank you for such an enjoyable stay.

Excellent property in a great location.

Dog friendly garden. Useful to have the parking space a short walk from the house. Some great walks starting right from the doorstep. Broadway itself is full of pubs (dog friendly), cafes and shops, making it a great base for exploring the Cotswolds. Would highly recommend Blundell’s Cottage for a stay. My only comment would be that we’d have preferred an earlier official check in time (I’ve never known one that late), BUT we did call the housekeeper around 3pm who said that it was clean and ready and we could have access early. This was much appreciated.

Property was exactly as described - well equipped (lots of kitchen equipment which is unusual - some self catering accommodation is sparsely equipped which doesn’t aid cooking), house/garden dog friendly and in a fantastic location just a few mins walk to the centre of Broadway and to the footpaths for walking.

Welcome gift was a nice touch too. We had a great 5 day break - enjoyed all of what Broadway has to offer, recommend pre-booking pubs/restaurants for dinner as they get busy.

The cottage was in a great position in the village.

Wow!

What a gorgeous cottage in a fabulous location! Blundell’s cottage is very spacious for a 2 bedroom property. We felt at home the moment we stepped through the door, the property was spotlessly clean and all the facilities you could think you would need were available.

Lovely house in a quiet but convenient part of Broadway.

Internet was very good for the Cotswolds, kitchen was well equipped, the lounge was tastefully decorated, there was a fantastic log burner and the beds were comfortable. An added touch that I’ve never experienced before were blackout blinds in the two bedrooms. Great for me as the light has woken me up in most of the properties I’ve ever stayed at. Sad to leave and hopefully will return one day soon. Many thanks to Jo, the housekeeper and Roy the owner.

The off road parking was not at the property but 5 minutes walk away.

This should be stated, as I have real mobility problems and my partner had to fetch the car, and pick me up and drop me off. Also the stairs are very steep, with a sharp bend at the top. Although rails were provided I had to almost go on my hands and knees to get round. That also needs highlighting. The property is well provided and the owner Roy very nice and helpful.

Need to be able to fully open the bedroom windows as upstairs was like an oven at night.

Exactly as anticipated.

Really difficult to find - we were right first time but couldn't find any sign saying Blundells Cottage so ended up going back to the car parking space and all the way down the High street and then calling the mobile number given.

Jo gave us directions so we were able to find it, but not before we'd spent half an hour (min) looking - with my 85 year old mother in tow!

This cottage was perfect for our family.

The interior was beautifully laid out, and just perfect for our weekend away. We had dreadful weather whilst there, but it didn’t put a damper on our weekend, the open fire made it lovely and cosy and when the sun did come out we had a BBQ one da and afternoon tea in the beautifully set-out garden the next, even managed to get into the little summer house to read for an hour or two. It was spotlessly clean and had all the home comforts anyone would desire, including loads of DVDs and interesting books on loan. Thank you, we will definitely be back to this lovely part of Broadway, much prettier and quieter than the main high street.
