Bluebell Cottage

We really enjoyed our stay at Bluebell Cottage.

It was a change to have the kitchen and living room upstairs. With great views of the countryside. Lovely place to unwind very relaxing. Sonia and Steve were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again.

Generally a very good cottage.

Very pretty inside and the upstairs lounge/kitchen/diner gives access to lovely views. A lovely location though it is accessed from a busy road on the edge of the village. The cottage, however, is well set back so you don't particularly hear the noise once inside the cottage. There is a large shed in the outside area of the cottage, not sure is this is mentioned or not. It would be very suitable for storing bicycles in, should anyone want to use it as a base for cycling, subject to the owners permission of course. We would go back which is always a good sign that the cottage met our high standards.

We were made very welcome, anything we needed when we both became ill was provided.

The tv was the only negative, having such poor sound quality, we had to use subtitles. The village of Newnham was mostly closed and in decline.

Cottage was well equipped and in a lovely quiet location.

Beds and lounge comfortable.

Kitchen a little cramped & could do with better cooking equipment. We struggled to cook a home cooked meal for 4 people. Inside kitchen cupboards needed a wipe out, which we done. Over all a comfortable stay & the heating was good.

The cottage is wonderful, amazing views of surrounding landscape, pretty little duck pond and rolling green fields literally all outside the Window!

Tranquil country retreat, I found the cottage relaxing, cosy and warm and a peaceful safe retreat from the hectic pace of everyday life, a little piece of heaven! The host, Steve, could not have been any more welcoming or friendly, a true gentleman.

A warm and comfortable cottage that is ideally situated for touring the Wye Valley and walking in the Forest of Dean.

Lovely setting on the farm with views from balcony.

Peaceful and quiet but close to forest of dean and nearby towns. Cottage well presented with all you needed for a week.

Water running down-unable to sleep because of noise!!

Perfect location for visiting lots of attractions in nearby villages.

THE VILLAGE OF NEWNHAM DID NOT HAVE ANY NICE PUBS OR RESTAURANT TO WALK TO AFTER A DAY OUT.

THIS DID NOT SPOIL ANYTHING. IT IS A GOOD WALK UP TO VILLAGE WITH GOOD VIEWS OVER THE SEVERN ESTURY
