Fabulous cottage, spotlessly clean and in an excellent location The cottage was well equipped and had everything we needed for a short break The cottage is hidden away but the owner emailed detailed instructions which took the stress away from having to find it We wanted to get away for a relaxing and stress free weekend and that’s exactly what we got I’d highly recommend this cottage and will definitely consider returning

  • "A wonderfully situated property and it is exactly as described."

Very comfortable and well appointed. The bed was extremely comfortable. We came away well rested and refreshed. Plenty of easy to follow instructions enabled us to make everything work. Good job there were written instructions for the central heating because the instructions on the flap were difficult to access. The shower screen was long and practical. Most shower screens in rental properties are too small and water gets everywhere. Plenty of advice on walks and where to eat, which we made good use of. Would highly recommend this property .

  • "The Old Sorting Office is a comfortable, well equipped property in the centre of the village, with all the facilities we needed within a couple of minutes walk."

We had some good long walks in the surrounding countryside, and on a couple of days got to come home on the steam railway to save our legs. The cottage is a really good, well thought-out conversion, with a small enclosed courtyard garden (shared with the postmasters lodging, but we had it to ourselves most evenings). Helen sent us all the details we needed before we arrived, and had supplied wine and biscuits for the humans and dog treats for Daisy the collie. Definitely considering booking again for next year

Winchcombe is lovely, with plenty of pubs serving great quality food, and a chippy serving lovely fish and chips. Places well worth a visit, Broadway, stow, Stan way and bourbon on the water..

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage."

Spotlessly clean and the bathroom is superb especially for anyone with limited mobility. The settee and chair were very comfortable, as was the bed, kitchen well equipped. Ideally placed for touring the Cotswolds and a good retreat to come back to after a busy day. Some nice little shops in Winchcombe and very friendly locals. We do have a very nosy young cockapoo who made his way to the coded access system door leading to the main road every time he was let out into the garden so consequently we had to keep him on a lead in the garden, perhaps a little gate near the shed would be of benefit. Would highly recommend this cottage.

Really clean well equipped cottage -fantastic base situated in a quiet street off the main quaint high street -for many walks all around the area with stunning views -private garden but entrance shared by other people so not entirely secure for dog -but would definitely stay here again

  • "Very nice compact home, perfect for a short break, would recommend packing light as it is very compact."

Softer beds and more comfortable furniture would be recommened, bigger sofas, smaller dining room chairs (the frames take up half the kitchen), and more comfortable garden furniture would all be bonuses. Confusion on the garden, is it fully enclosed or is it a shared garden. With a dog that can escape the exit to the main road is the responsibility of multiple residents so either a small gate on the apartments actual garden, or "shared" garden notice on the website is essential. Overall recommended for short stays in the area, very clean, has everything you need and in a great location.

  • "The Old Sorting Office is a delightful cottage, beautifully decorated and equipped to a high standard."

Charming little garden and very comfortable in every way. It was exceptionally well cleaned and we felt confident staying there at this time. Ideally situated in the town centre with shops, pubs and restaurants within a very short walk and of course the wonderful Cotswold countryside all around. Only slight disadvantage was having to park about 7 minutes walk away, but there is 1 hour limited parking just opposite for dropping off luggage, so it was only an issue in the rain! Very highly recommended.

With everything you could ever need. Everything is of a very high quality. It is so well designed. They have thought of everything. Lighting inside and out very well thought out. There are an amazing amount of power sockets, some with usb points in them. Garden lovely with patio doors opening out on it. There's a good quality "hound" dog bed with blanket and 2 bowls. They also leave some dog biscuits a nice touch. We just loved it here. Toby our dog loved it too, he just settled straight away. I can honestly say The BEST cottage. Will hopefully be back to stay next year. Thank you Helen and Robert for getting it so very right. Oz, Gwyneth and Toby

We have stayed in many cottages but usually opted for a slightly larger property and were a little worried about choosing a one bedroom Cottage in this instance but we needn’t have worried as it certainly exceeded our expectations. The cottage was scrupulously clean and well equipped and there was even a welcome treat box for our Schnauzer. He disregarded his basket and opted for the new luxury one provided! Helen and her husband were most welcoming hosts and ,to my delight , owned a fabulous jewellery shop next door ! We hope to return on many occasions and cannot recommend the property highly enough.

Helen was very helpful and friendly, providing us with all information we needed before and during our stay. It's important to have a good property but it's also important to have owners who show they care about your holiday. All amenities that you would want are on the property and it is in a great location for food and drink with shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. There may not be a parking space directly attached to the property but there are plenty of safe places to park your car within a minute or two's walk. Highly recommended.
