  • "A lovely well turned out property, with all the comforts of home."

A quiet location with easy access to Ironbridge Town.

  • "A delightful cottage for 3 which retains original features such as fireplaces while providing comfortable, retro-themed modern facilities."

The bedrooms have stunning views across the river. We had a very pleasant weekend there. It is about a 5-minute walk down into Ironbridge town with its independent shops and cafes and of course the Ironbridge, but note you need to be reasonably fit to manage the uphill walk back! Pay close attention to directions as the upper roads of Ironbridge are quite narrow with some acute junctions.

Bright, clean and beautiful and so well maintained and equipped. We loved it. The owners have thought of everything. Iron bridge is an amazing place. There is so much to see and do in the town and the walking is fantastic too. The views from the bedroom windows are spectacular. Such a special place.

32 Church Hill had everything that we needed and hosts Janet and Mick could not have been more helpful. Location was ideal for exploring the surrounding area and parking right outside the house was great. Would definitely recommend.

  • "I love this property, perfect for me as a solo traveller."

I came in May, but have an op due shortly so fancied a pre op winter break, to really use the wood burner which didn't disappoint. On this occasion, owner Janet texted to warn me a couple of roads were shut, a great help as I was able to adjust my route in to avoid the Christmas lights switch on. Very grateful for that, this is a lovely place, in a nice central location for Shropshire. Definitely check it out (just not when I want to book it, please ! ) Matt

  • "Cosy, comfortable cottage with everything a couple need for a good stay away from home."

Car parking is on the road which is tight so maybe not the best choice if you own a 4x4 but fine for a small/medium sized car. Very handy for the Gorge and all the industrial historic sites as well as for exploring Shropshire. Good value for money.

Great position for visiting all the local attractions and National Trust. Even used the local bus to Shrewsbury. As said property is on a hill, but by the end of the week, it got easier! Thank you for a lovely stay and the welcome pack.

  • "Cottage is clean, comfortable, and warm."

Handy for the local pubs/restaurants, but as the address implies it's on a hill, like most of Ironbridge, so you work off the evening meal walking back up the hill.

  • "Fantastic property."

Tastefully decorated and comfortable bed. Beautiful views of the valley from both bedrooms. Comfy sofa and a great TV in the lounge, next to an easy to use fireplace. Very much appreciated the welcome package (milk, biscuits and fizz). The visitors parking permit was useful for trips to the local shops. Issues we had - The tesco delivery driver refused to come up the narrow road in the dark (was not wet or icy), I had to meet him down by the iron bridge to collect the order! The fridge freezer is small, so be careful how much you buy. The road in both directions is steep, not to be underestimated if you're not a keen walker. Overall we really recommend this property.

! We found some steps by St Lukes Church that made it a bit easier especially with the heat as went under the building so in the shade!! The property was fine but a small casserole would have been useful.

  • "A lovely quirky cottage."

Although small it was very well equipped and spotlessly clean, with big soft towels and a lovely comfortable bed. The milk and bottle of Prosecco in the fridge were much appreciated and a nice touch. The cottage is situated on quite a steep hill, the road is quite narrow but there is room to park a car directly outside the property. It is about a 10 minute walk downhill from the cottage to the centre of Ironbridge and slightly longer to walk back. Being from Wales we are used to walking up and down hills!! I would highly recommend this cottage if you are planning on visiting Ironbridge.

It had everything required, fantastic rain shower (with good water pressure) compact kitchen with everything we needed, including a lovely welcome pack of milk, biscuits and a bottle of prosecco! The log burner in the living room was amazing and the owners had stocked up with more than enough logs for us to keep the chill out. The whole cottage was fitted out and finished to a good standard, and the beds were super comfy for a great night sleep. We parked the car up right outside and walked everywhere, and we actually enjoyed the refreshing climb back up the lanes from the village, even with a 4 yr old on my shoulders. Highly recommended, 5 stars!
