So novel a place to stay, 'underneath a railway arch'. Loved the fishing deck, even though we don't fish, the hot tub & fire pit, as well as the decore & design of The Tunnel. Comfy bed, good quality towels & bed linen, & toweling robe very handy for hot tub. Perfect place to celebrate my Big Birthday. Thanks Brendon & team.

A beautifully presented unusual property. Definitely fits into the “whacky” category! All round it was 10/10. Brendan and staff were very pleasant and helpful. Would definitely recommend it anyone who wants an unusual place to stay.

Absolutely a gem of a place so quiet and relaxing

We've just returned from our stay at The Tunnel and had a really enjoyable stay.

The accommodation is very unique, definitely Insta worthy if you're that way inclined! The accommodation was clean and very bright and airy with the large floor to ceiling windows, and the private garden area for me was the standout feature. I could spend hours, just me chilling out with the birds and the squirrels. The hot tub is huge, definitely social media worthy, but the size is also it's big drawback. Heating this thing is a full time job and by the middle of our break I was starting to feel like Casey Jones! (just Google it, young ones). 3 hours and almost 2 full nets of logs to get from a decidedly chilly 20C to a useable 40C. in the end we decided to use the rest of our logs for toasting marshmallows over the firepit. The fishing, while enjoyable, was a minor disappointment. There is a huge population of small roach that will happily take 8mm pellets and double sweetcorn, the surface of the water literally boils with fry hitting your feeder every cast, and getting a bait to better quality fish is challenging to say the least. I did manage to bag a couple of smallish tench and a few lovely golden rudd but otherwise it was roach after roach after roach. The site is also very well located for local attractions the proximity to the M40 means that there are loads of places to visit within an hours drive of the site, just be aware of the speedbumps at the entrance to the site are very aggressive and there is a real risk of grounding if your car has low ground clearance, you certainly won't be getting up there in your Lambo!

Amazing place , the Tunnel was very clean bed was really comfortable, had all you need to cook etc .

Nice quite site & clean Brendon was very helpful , & left us with all instructions we needed for our stay , there was plenty of info in book in property about the area . My partner enjoyed the fishing , but when dark the peg not lit up enough but would fully recommend a stay here . Will definetly return in the future.

The tunnel is exactly as was hoped for and more.

Aesthetically pleasing, comfortable, beautiful views and tranquil. The little walk to the pub watching the llamas on the way was also a lovely way to spend a half day, then coming back to relax in the hot tub. Chaucome is a stunning village, Banbury itself a little run down. I’m sure beautiful in its time. The only negative for us was the fact you had to pay for the wood for the hot tub. It wasn’t a cheap weekend away, so it just seemed a little mean. (It doesn’t say hot tub at a cost on the advertising). Apart from that we’d give 10/10 from start to finish.

Exceeded our expectations and it was a good week away from the city life. We didn’t manage to catch any fish (no beginners luck here) but we are looking forward to coming again in the future and trying our luck again xD Facilities were great and the host was more than helpful when needed. A lovely location, very well maintained and perfectly equipped for a short break.

Great location Second time we have visited and we don’t do that often Only thing that I would suggest is to double up on crockery so less time spent washing up… Tunnel has privacy and the whole place is now much more mature than the first time with the lake and surroundings more established

Lovely quiet location with a serene lake view.

This was our second visit to Bridge Lake Farm.

The Tunnel is by far the best accommodation mainly due to the space. The location. Is ideal with an easy walk to the pub and nearby Banbury 10 minutes away by car and accessible by bus from the village bus stop near the pub. Fishing was very good. We will visit again.

The Tunnel and location is breathtaking.

Everything thing has been provided to make your stay wonderful and the views from the floor to ceiling windows are beautiful to wake up to.The log fired hot tub and private rear garden is so lovely you don’t want to venture far. Would love to stay again.

This is an exceptional and very unique place to stay.

We were met by the owner when we arrived who showed us around. It was very clean and well equipped, with a great view of the lake from the bedroom window. We met the owner again, who was extremely quick to bring round missing tea towels when we asked. The hot tub was lovely and hot when we arrived and was a great way to start a relaxing stay. We would have no hesitation in coming back or recommending it to others.

Beautiful property in a peaceful setting and very well maintained

Fabulous place to stay.

Beautiful outlook from the large window at the front onto the lake with a backdrop of hills which had cows and sheep grazing. Lovely to lay in bed and look out on the peaceful setting. Everything was in excellent condition. The bed was very comfortable as was the sofa. The kitchen was well equipped although if I could suggest a cafetiere as I could only make instant coffee. The garden at the rear was private and had a lovely big table for sitting out and a hot tub. The whole site is very well maintained and all the staff were lovely and very helpful. If you wished to, you could easily walk to the nearest pub which does food. Would expect to return as it is a lovely place to recharge your batteries and relax.

The Tunnel provided us with our best holiday cottage to date, after six years of retirement.

It's ideally located for Blenheim Palace, Warwick Castle, Bicester and Stratford, for a start. As for the cottage itself, it's in the most idyllic, peaceful location, whilst at the same time providing every modern luxury. We didn't use the hot tub, although a friend tells me it was state of the art, but we did enjoy afternoons in the sunny back garden. Brendan, the host, couldn't have been more welcoming and having watched his YouTube video about the site, we really wish we had left a bottle of wine in gratitude for a wonderful holiday.

We had a wonderful week staying in the Tunnel.

The space is stunning, private, peaceful and well-maintained. The bed is really comfy, and the hot-tub was so lovely it took quite a lot of effort to persuade ourselves to get out of it! Everything has been carefully thought out to provide a relaxing stay, and Brendan was on hand to help or answer any questions promptly and efficiently. We hope to stay again in future - many thanks!

We spent a week at the tunnel bridge lake farm over Christmas, what a spectacular place.

Firstly, the host brendan was very welcoming and explained how to operate all facilities clearly. The location is tranquil, looking out to the lake through huge windows. The furnishings are very modern and everything you need is supplied. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have slept in, waking up to lookout to the lake and surrounding countryside is picturesque. I couldn't recommend this place enough. The photos are exactly what you get. The hot tub is a great addition to spend your late winter nights. I wish I could live there to be honest. Thank you Brendan for letting us spend our best Christmas holiday at the tunnel. We will love to come back in the near future.

Was a really pleasant stay despite the weather. We even invited to feed the alpacas which was lovely. Hot tub was perfect and instructions for use clear.

This is a fabulous property in a beautiful and peaceful setting.

Fitted out and decorated to a really high standard, it was the perfect romantic getaway and we had rebooked within hours of leaving. The only minor drawback was we didn’t have mobile phone reception…(although of course there is great WiFi) but some might think that is a positive advantage!!!!!

My partner and I stayed in the tunnel in September and had an amazing stay.

Brendan was very helpful and kept us informed regarding our check in times and purchasing additional logs for the hot tubs. The property was clean and very well maintained. The surrounding areas are lovely for walks and the views from the property are beautiful. We will be returning at some point!

Can't even begin to put into words how relaxing this 2 week stay at The Tunnel was.

Everything was even more perfect that it looked on the photos. From the moment we stepped onto the site, we knew this was exactly what we'd been looking for....absolutely beautiful. The whole site is a real credit to Brendan and his team. Spotlessly clean, superbly maintained without any intrusion on your privacy. The Tunnel is amazing, no skimping on luxuries either. The woodfired hot tub is a dream & stayed hot all day without the need to keep making the fire up (which was our initial concern when we booked) We were so impressed, we used it everyday! We'll definitely be visiting this place again.

We had a wonderful week at The Tunnel.

As soon as we arrived Brendan was on hand to show us around. The Tunnel is amazing and so is the setting. Every morning we’d wake up, and lift the blinds to a beautiful view of the lake and all of its wildlife. It is so peaceful and the perfect place to relax and unwind. Brendan and his whole team made us feel so welcome. It was definitely one of the best UK holidays we’ve ever had. Paul and Loraine.

Lovely property in beautiful, quiet surroundings.

Loved the hot tub and my husband loved the fishing. Very close to local pub and Banbury for takeaways, restaurants or the train station. I feel the amount it cost that tea and coffee should be supplied for at least one cup each day. I don’t feel you should have to go out and buy this at this price range. We also had 1 sachet of sugar when we were staying 3 nights! With the hot tub it would be useful to have an airer for drying your wet swimwear and towels. The towel warmer didnt work. It would also be useful to have a hair dryer which is usually standard in holiday accommodation

Fantastic place to stay, really creative conversion of The Tunnel and very well equipped and comfortable.

Staff were very helpful, lake and surroundings were well maintained, hot tub, fire pit and garden space were great, location was peaceful and the fish kept biting! Highly recommended.

Was a lovely break and can't fault it.

Enough to do with an easy 10 minute drive to places for meals out or a bit of personal shopping and a few minutes walking distance pub. Hot tub for evening chill. WiFi with smart TVs which of course is needed now days. And the property is Lovely inside and out. Great place to escape for a few days to truly relax. Will be a place we will go too again if we can.

We've just got back from a 4 night stay in The Tunnel and it was absolutely lovely.

The whole of Bridge Lake Farm - accommodation, site and all surrounding areas were very well maintained, clean and just gorgeous. The Tunnel itself is high spec and has everything you need. The hot tub was great and was set up for us to use straight away. Excellent communication from the owner Brendan, even called to tell us we could get in early! A special mention to James as well for being so friendly and helpful. Thank you for a lovely stay.

The accommodation was excellent. The furnishings were of a high standard, comfortable and clean. The location was perfect, with stunning views over the lake. The individual pontoons were an added bonus! Our hosts were welcoming and we will certainly be coming back.

What amazing use of an unusual space all the comforts of home and spotlessly clean.

The view over the lake was very pretty especially in the evenings with the reflection of the lights fron the lodges opposite reflecting on the water. Having the hot tub and garden furniture under a canopy was an added bonus for us as the weather wasn’t great. Thank you Brendan and will hopefully be back soon.

Stayed for seven nights and what an amazing place,very modern with a huge outside space with a log fired Hot Tub and covered seating.

Meet on arrival by the very friendly and helpful host. The lake and lodges are kept to an excellent standard and found our stay very relaxing and peaceful.

A retreat from the world, we found everything very comfortable and easy to live in. We especially enjoyed the hot tub which turned out to be very easy to use!

We’ve recently got back from a weekend break away at The Tunnel.

From start to finish we were amazed with the location, facilities and overall experience. Whilst on our fantastic break away we got engaged and we are eternally grateful to Brendan and Catherine for all their help along the way. We have already recommended our close friends at work who are looking to book later this year. We cannot wait to go back.

What a wonderful place. We had an amazing weekend, the tunnel is exactly as described, has been decorated to a fantastic standard and the attention to detail was wonderful. Brendan was so helpful and welcoming and took great care showing us around and how everything worked. He even got the hot tub going so it was ready for our arrival. We enjoyed a lovely long walk in the countryside, long afternoons at the local pub who again were very friendly and the hot tub was a real treat to relax in every evening. We can’t wait to come back soon for another complete relax and enjoy the beautiful views.

Its high end finish is gorgeous with a fabulously comfy big bed. The large private garden and hot tub were the icing on the cake. We recharged, chilled and went for a short walk (the hot tub called us back!) Perfect
