An excellent cottage for our needs.

A beautiful setting which had every item that could be required, a first for the many cottages we have visited. The cleaners should have a mention for their first rate job. The garden was extremely well maintained, and lovely to sit in even with the very mixed weather we experienced. We would certainly book again for future visits. Thanks for your care in providing a great cottage.

Lovely cottage with beautiful gardens, lovely of the owner to leave scones and jam and milk tea and a few other essentials, we were very lucky to have fantastic weather, so would have been nice to have a couple of lounger/gravity chairs to chill in , but otherwise very happy so much so we have rebooked for next year already

Tumbledown was clean, comfortable and an extremely welcoming, homely place to stay.

The welcome gift of home made goodies was very nice. The garden and setting were beautiful. A peaceful and relaxing stay.

We enjoyed a relaxing and comfortable week at Tumbledown.

It was clean, spacious, and as well equipped as described. There were all needed instructions for any minor questions that came up, and plenty of tour books and walking maps. It was a perfectly quiet and beautiful spot just outside of Broadway, and we hope to return in the future.

This is the third visit at Tumbledown.

A fantastic house with lots of space, well looked after and great position to expire the Cotswolds. Will be back again!

A fabulous, spacious, warm & cosy traditional character property in a truly fabulous location within easy driving distance of most of the best locations to visit in the Cotswolds.

Plenty of space & good off road parking for 2 cars with nice gardens. Lots of good walks nearby.

This has been our 6th vacation/holiday in this area of The Cotswolds since 2017.

We love Tumbledown in Buckland and this was our 2nd stay at this property. We had rented in 2019 for (4) weeks. Unfortunately for us, since it is a popular rental, we were only able to rent this year for (2) weeks of Sept. 26 to Oct. 10 and had to rent another lovely rental in Stanton for the (2) weeks of Oct. 10 to Oct. 24. The owner, Pearl, is very hands-on and accessible for any items of concern and Ellie, her housekeeping “angel” is top notch. Fantastic stay at Tumbledown, Stunning house in peaceful village.

The house got everything you need and very well manage.

Lovely stay in the heart of the countryside.

An ideal base to travel to the many National Trust properties that we visited. The wi fi was very hit and miss and we couldn't get a signal on our phones, but that wasn't a bad thing! Summer duvets would have been more appropriate rather than the heavy winter ones as we arrived in the middle of a heatwave. All in all a fabulous place to stay with a fascinating history of it's own.

We all loved the cottage and location.

Beds were comfortable, as was the lounge seating. Cooking facilities of a good standard too. Regrettably the en-suite bathroom was well below par. The basin drained very slowly, so by the time the hot water came through the sink was full already. The en-suite shower similarly drained quite slowly and was quite dirty under the drain cover. A dining room chair broke when I sat on it, and we then noted it had been reported previously in the ‘household logbook’ along with the drainage problems. There were some serious cobwebs in the main bedroom and a slat broke off the bed first night of climbing in, and some food residue down the side of an armchair. It was also quite inconvenient not to have a modest supply of cleaning materials (washing up liquid, kitchen spray etc) especially with it being a few miles to the shop. There were some dishwasher tabs though. Overall a nice place, but needing some enthusiastic TLC.

Tumbledown is probably the best holiday cottage I have visited.

It is situated in a lovely setting, convenient for lots of days out and the property is furnished and supplies all the contents you could want.

A beautiful well equipped house in a very lovely location.

Owners left some tasty provisions which were enjoyed. No issues at all and our holiday was relaxing with the added bonus of a great hotel opposite. Will definitely return

Lovely stay with my family at Tumbledown.

Idyllic setting with beautiful garden and village. Footpaths from the door along very scenic trails. The cottage is perfect and had everything we needed. No issues with WiFi or phone signal as previous reviews mentioned. A very cosy retreat which we would happily return to.

A beautiful property ,which I knew as a child ,so it was wonderful to return to the area and stay in such a relaxing and comfortable environment - everything about the property was first class ,didn't want to come home - thank you so much .

Totally understand everything not provided but any kitchen roll at all and a spare loo roll or two might have seemed generous. Some people may be bothered by the wifi not working in the whole house. Loved the beautiful garden and the mapsand guidebooks provided. Banana bread in the welcome pack was delicious.

We had a wonderful family Christmas vacation at Tumbledown.

The house was perfect for us and an excellent location - very quiet but close to Broadway, Evesham, Chipping Campden etc. Lovely kitchen, dining room, sitting area. A few notes to the owner, we accidentally broke a wine glass, I removed a light bulb from a sconce in the dining room as it seems to have a short circuit, and there was a strong natural gas smell coming from the front garden area.

We had a lovely weeks stay at Tumbledown and cottage was in the ideal place for visiting all the pretty villages in the Cotswold area.

Cottage is comfortable and warm and well equipped. We received a lovely welcome pack which is a nice touch from the owners. Thank you for this. Our only complaint is the wifi in the living room is poor and keeps cutting out and because of this you couldn't watch any catch up tv, or if you need to work and send e-mails etc. Just something guests should be made aware of. Nice hotel across the road for a special drink or meal. Thank you.

We had a great time.

The cottage was very well fitted out with everything that you would require for a relaxing holiday. None of us wanted to leave! If there was one drawback it was the steps to the bedrooms. - we had a partially disabled person within our group who found this a small problem. Perhaps this could be stated in your information pack. Apart from this little hic-cup we all had a wonderful stay. Many thanks.

A beautiful cottage, in a beautiful setting.

The beds were very comfortable, as were the sofas and chairs, with everything you need in the kitchen. The whole place was spotlessly clean and the welcome pack was really nice. A new, bigger television would make it perfect. A few minutes after switching the television on, every time, coloured lines would appear on the screen, lasting about 15 minutes (had been put in the HK book previously and now by us). Also, we had trouble reading words on the screen, for programmes such as 'Pointless' - screen too small for such a big lounge!

An excellent cottage in a superb position.

Very comfortable and beautifully provisioned. It was a return visit for us, which we were able to share with our daughter and two granddaughters. A delightful contrast for them to their life in tropical Darwin, Australia.

We had a fabulous stay at Tumbledown Cottage, it was just perfect !

Beautiful garden, spacious rooms, well-equipped, off-road parking for 2 cars. Location near picture perfect Broadway with shops, pubs and restaurants was great. Tip : take a hike from the cottage to visit Snowshill Manor. Hope to be back soon !

Amazing cottage, loved it.

One small thing, you need a booster for your wifi, it only works properly in the kitchen or by front door because the walls are too thick.

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage this week, it exceeded all of our expectations with great weather to match!

The welcome pack of homemade jam, lemon drizzle cake and bread was a lovely addition. The village of Broadway was fantastic and we had a lovely walk over the hills for a drink at local pub Crown and Trumpet. We also recommend a visit to the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway which was a step back in time with a steam train ride from Broadway to Cheltenham Racecourse. Many thanks and we hope to visit again!

We had a wonderful relaxing stay in Tumbledown.

The house was clean, in great condition and well equipped. The village is quiet and fields begin behind the garden. The locations is good for broadway (5 mins drive) and other charming villages and countryside walks. We would happily visit again. A couple of things to note: The Wifi was at times not reliable in the living room and main bedroom. It might be good to get a range extender. Mobile reception was poor inside the house (no doubt due to the thick stone walls) so I needed to wait outside when I was expecting a call. The TV showed grid lines across the screen for about 5-10 mins after switching on, as though it needed to warm up before working as normal.

This was my second visit to Tumbledown and it was the perfect house for a school friends catch up.

It had everything we needed, was clean and warm - even in the frosty weather and the basket of goodies was a lovely treat. Thank you for a very relaxing break.

Seems on reading visitor comment book many of the small issues have been ignored are recurrent - down stairs toilet, tv remote , scart cable etc - otherwise great . Hotel Resturant across road is wonderful - fish and chips in broadway excellent. Good place for a rest .

Only marked it down on facilities due to the wi fi only working upstairs and in the hall.

We really enjoyed our holiday. The cottage and garden were excellent and as a base to explore the local beauty spots was first class. House clean and off street parking was good to have. Would recommend it as a holiday cottage.

Lovely welcome bread and banana cake. The cottage had the right balance between being cosy and spacious, beautiful garden which we enjoyed very much. Knowing the history of the place made it even more special.

Lovely cottage full of character in a great location.

Plenty of walks from the cottage for the more energetic and beautiful scenery. A great base from which to tour the Cotswolds and no complaints from our party.

We appreciated SYKES Holidays transferring ( twice ) the first booked holiday which due to Covid 19 we cancelled. This is a FIRST CLASS Cottage and the standard of cleaning before we arrived was re-assuring. MJD 26 Sept. 2020

Everything about Tumbledown Cottage is spot on.

The cottage itself is well presented and in a really beautiful, quiet location. The bedrooms were very comfortable and we all got a great night's sleep. The kitchen is incredibly well appointed with everything you could possibly need - made cooking Christmas dinner for the family very easy. Finally, Pearl is a fantastic host. She put up loads of Christmas decorations and left us a basket of lovely things. It felt like a home away from home.

Tumbledown is a beautiful, very well equipt, cottage set in a wonderful garden.

Everything was just perfect and the welcome basket was a lovely touch.

I had high expectations but the accommodation exceeded these by a long way.

The location was perfect. Rural and ideal for walking and exploring the countryside but near enough to the town for services. The house itself was idyllic. Amazing garden and places to sit out and enjoy the sun. The interior was extremely well presented and had a great traditional feel. Would love to visit again sometime and have already recommended it to friends.

Tumbledown house is a beautiful house with such history and located outside Broadway village in Buckland.

The house is directly opposite Buckland Manor Hotel. It uses a shared drive but there is complete privacy in a gorgeously maintained garden. The house has all facilities, cosy beds, kitchen appliances and full of character. The house is so clean. There are public and bridal pathways to walk or cycle to nearby villages. It’s a great location to see other Cotswold villages and ride the Steam train to Cheltenham

We had the most wonderful time at Tumbledown.

The house and gardens are immaculate and thoughtfully finished to the highest standard. The village of Buckland is such a dream, so peaceful. We felt like it could be our home, we loved it so much. Thank you so much for sharing it with us.

Loved this cottage, it was immaculate and had everything we needed including a cafetiere, plastic bowls and cups for the children and a hairdryer.

There were plenty of toys for children to play with and it was close to Boradway for a nice park and little shops

Wonderful area for walking

A wonderful cottage in a beautiful, peaceful location.

The gardens are stunning and our little ones enjoyed watching crayfish and frogs in the stream. The cottage is very comfortable and cosy, with a well-equipped kitchen, although we couldn't find a frying pan anywhere. The location is great for exploring the Cotswolds. We would definitely return.

Although initially we had a problem it was efficiently dealt with by manor cottages and the owner, just a breakdown of some equipment which can happen anywhere. I didn't want to leave. Great walks right from the door.

Lovely furnishings and the thoughtful grocery pack made us feel very welcome.

The location was superb, beautiful garden to sit quietly in a picture postcard village.

We devoured the banana bread and the fresh loaf with home-made jam. The garden is beautiful and the beds extremely comfortable. We hope to be back some day.
