  • "Chippy Cottage was a beautiful place."

The cottage was of a very high standard with traditional beams, yet had everything modern that you need. It was a great central place to be based in the Cotswolds. There are some lovely pubs nearby. I would recommend this Cottage and would definitely go back there again.

  • "We had a great festive stay in chippy cottage."

It’s a great quiet location in the centre of town but only a short walk to the rolling fields.

  • "The cottage was beyond stunning."

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was beautifully decorated for Christmas, creating an absolutely idyllic space. The area was perfect, close to everything (restaurants, supermarkets etc.). In summary, it was perfect and cannot recommend it enough! Hoping to be back again next year!

  • "Fantastic cottage in a perfect location."

Beautiful area with some lovely walks nearby, and close to the village center. The cottage is very well decorated, and has all the amenities required for a short stay. Check in and out was easy and exactly what we were looking for. Overall a lovely stay which we will definitely consider doing again!

  • "Chippy Cottage is conveniently located in the heart of Chipping Norton."

The cottage is exceptionally clean with all amenities considered. The cottage is larger than the photos make out, lots of space with comfortable beds. The owners and the management company were able to respond quickly to any questions asked. A lovely stay, thank you!

  • "A lovely, cosy and very comfortable cottage, perfect for a Cotswolds stay!"

The cottage hosts/owners were very responsive which was great and the yummy cake on arrival was a really nice touch! Thanks again for a wonderful stay!

  • "This is a stunning, 3 level, truly characterful cottage with really amazing personal touches throughout."

Everything has been thought of - even a lovey cake & supplies on arrival. The bathroom is lovely, kitchen great and bedrooms wonderful. Enjoy!

  • "Beautiful, cosy and stylish cottage."

Really great central location in Chipping Norton. Thoughtful touches on arrival such as delicious cake as well as bread and milk in the fridge. Also very useful antibacterial hand gel and wipes. Very swift communication. The cottage ground floor keeps really cool despite the heat but it gets hotter on the 1st floor and even hotter in the top bedroom. Saying that a fan was provided and over 30 degrees heatwave doesn’t happen that often in the Cotswolds. All in all would highly recommend.

  • "A really well located cottage, close to all the amenities!"

    DaryllJul 2020

  • "Small cottage in a quiet location, the cottage was precisely as described."

We knew to expect only one bathroom. A short walk to central Chipping Norton communication was great.

    AshkhanMar 2020

  • "A great cottage in a perfect location near the centre of Chipping Norton."

The cottage has been renovated to a high spec, with really good facilities, great little kitchen, good bathroom and even a useful utility room. The rooms are all a good size, and the beds comfy! If over 6 foot, You will need to watch your head when going into the bathroom and bedrooms, and the stairs are a little awkward to come down as the beams are quite low at the bottom. There are great finishing touches throughout which are really lovely to see and made our stay really enjoyable. It's just a short walk to the Theatre and lots of pubs/restaurants and take-aways. We had no trouble parking outside each night, but you do get a permit to park in the premier inn car park which we didn't ever need to use.

  • "Lovely cottage just near to town."

Parking for one car in close by car park very handy.

    PeterFeb 2020

  • "Nice cottage, ideal for a small family or few friends."

All kitchen amenities available to a high standard and based on a quiet but central street, only a short walk to local pubs and restaurants.

  • "This is a beautiful cottage and we had a wonderful stay."

The amenities they have go above and beyond. The cottage is done out very stylishly and felt like a real luxury. It was a perfect size for my family. It's a short walk into Chipping Norton that has some nice shops and eateries. We will be back.

  • "A very nice cottage with a special atmosphere because its architecture."

The house lies in the heart of the small village. The surrounding area invites for walks. If you travel by car, further destinations like e.g. Oxford are easy to reach.

  • "Chippy cottage was a dream, the location close to downtown shops and pubs made our first holiday in the UK very special."

When we got to London our kids wanted to all go back to Chippy!!

  • "Lovely cottage right off the high street which was a perfect location for our girls weekend away."

The lemon cake was a very nice welcome touch.

    RoseJul 2019

  • "Easy booking process via Airbnb, however the emails directly from Character Cottages were very helpful & succinct."

I felt that you were very accommodating of our needs in terms of booking our stay. Thank you very much! We had a lovely time - I'm already looking at your other properties around the country for planning another trip later in the year!!

    NanaJul 2019

  • "Beautiful, cosy cottage."

Very stylish and lots of lovely touches. Great location, a 2 minute walk from the centre of Chipping Norton but on a quiet, pretty street. Very well equipped. Hosts were very friendly and responsive and provided lots of info about the local area in the guest book. - The only slight downside for us is that there is only one bathroom which isn’t much considering it can sleep up to 6 but this is obviously fully disclosed.

  • "Beautiful cottage in a lovely area."

Close to so many well known Cotswolds locations. Cottage was spotless and very homely. Would highly recommend!

    RoxeneApr 2019

  • "This was a fantastic cottage in a perfect location with character oozing out of the walls."

There are loads of pubs that all serve excellent quality food with all the options you would expect for a restaurant.

  • "It was such a lovely time in Chipping Norton."

The house was really charming with lost of useful information about the area and all the amenities we needed as a family travelling with a young one. The location is superb, just by some lovely nature walks and of course the pubs to re-hydrate and replenish! Super time was had by all.

    OliverMar 2019

  • "This a wonderful cottage."

So homely and very well appointed. The owners have thought of everything from the homemade cake awaiting you on arrival to the parking permit if you can't happen to find a space right outside the house. Have visited twice now and will certainly be back.

    EsmeFeb 2019

  • "The cottage was absolutely perfect for two couples and two children."

The welcome cake was much appreciated as was the milk and coffee. We thought the owners had done a brilliant job of making the cottage nice and modern but keeping its gorgeous original features. Absolutely loved the loft bedroom and cosy living room. We brought a tipi for the kids as a late Christmas present and this stayed up in the living room all weekend so it was great to have room for the kids to play in it. Stairs were quite steep which was a worry with the kids but can't be helped. Overall thought Chippy Cottage was beautiful and homely and could have definitely done with more than three nights there!

  • "We just loved it !"

    LaurentAug 2018

  • "Really lovely cottage, highly recommend!"

    CateyApr 2018

  • "Chippy Cottage is a delightful little cottage which is situated in a pretty village close to supermarket and a few pubs."

It is easy to get to and the owners have gone the extra mile to make guests feel at home. We loved our stay. There was a special extra which we did not expect, and that was a delicious cake awaiting us on the kitchen table. There were six of us, and even though the cottage was small, we did not trip over each other. All the bedrooms are a good size and very comfortable.

    TrishOct 2017

Great if you want a central location for the various pubs and cafes etc. Very peaceful and well equipped but look out for the low door frames!

  • "We have all had the most wonderful girly weekend away at your delightful Chippy Cottage."

We have so enjoyed staying in such a stylish pad which you have finished to such a high standard! You have such good taste! The Cotswolds has delivered a relaxing break away from children and busy London life. We particularly enjoyed coffee and cake treats at delicacy and our tapas at Bitter and Twisted. We are finishing our stay with a visit to Daylesford Organic to round off the perfect weekend away. Many thanks. We'll be back!!
