Perfectly situated in a lovely village with an excellent, friendly pub offering superb food.

Ample free parking close by. The owner was extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble for him . The property was ideal for the seven of us and very comfortable. Strongly recommended.

Rupert the owner was very responsive and helpful. Sherston is a glorious village, excellent pub, excellent Angel Cafe, brilliant convenience store and beautiful walks. We loved it. Thank you very much.

A lovely peaceful cottage full of character and charm.

An excellent location for exploring Wiltshire and Gloucestershire. The property was very spacious and an excellent well stocked kitchen for cooking. The only criticism would be a couple more deckchairs as we enjoyed a heatwave during our stay.

We were very impressed with both the accommodation and the village of Sherston.

The kitchen was fully stocked with plenty of crockery, spices and a drawer of baking ingredients. We all agreed the beds were extremely comfortable. We contacted the owner twice about minor issues and he quickly responded and these were resolved. There are a few low door frames and upstairs wonky floors but our tall guests and elderly guest managed these successfully. The village itself is a dream, the houses are built with beautiful Cotswold stone and have an interesting history. Across the road is a very well stocked Co-op (make sure to download the Yellow Co-op app for member offers) and the food was very fresh. Nearby is a pub/restaurant and coffee shop which were well used. Round the corner is a most excellent playing field with a great deal of play equipment for all ages. The 2 zip wires being a major plus. There are many walks starting from The Swan which are detailed in the comprehensive visitor information. We could have stayed another week! Thank you

Very comfortable and well thought out accommodation. Ideal spot to walk from, restaurant /pub and shop within walking distance and a delightful grade 1 listed church within the village. Lovely house and location.

We loved the old Swan and all its quirkiness.

No complaints whatsoever, just one suggestion for a second lamp in the sitting room. Sherston is a great village and the people were lovely

We were six schoolfriends from Lincolnshire spending our annual reunion in The Old Swan.

The house itself was perfect; comfortable, clean and very tastefully decorated, superbly equipped even down to headed notepaper. The village itself is charming, and it's residents extremely friendly. There are many delightful walks from the doorstep, and we particularly enjoyed visiting Luckington. Despite being a village, Sherston has a Co-op and various places to eat, all of which we can recommend. I have been to many Sykes properties over the years, but this was certainly one of my favourites, and I would recommend it very highly.

Beautiful cottage in the Cotswolds.

V high standard all round. We hire cottages on a regular basis as a group and this was definitely one of the best.

We felt at home as soon as we arrived.

There was plenty of room for us all plus our two dogs. Well equipped kitchen. Really comfy lounge and the log burner was wonderful. All the bedrooms where spacious and really super large beds. We loved the village, shop was well stocked. Pub had great food and the Indian did a great takeaway. Good starting point for visiting Bath, Tetbury etc. Will defiantly return.

He responded to emails and messages promptly and helpfully so thanks very much. The house has everything you could need - no need to bring a blender, a mixer, wine stopper, an icemaker ... the list is endless! The kitchen is kitted out well with John Lewis crockery and there are even herbs, spices and cake making ingredients. The freezer compartment in the fridge is not large but the local shop across the road has everything most people could want - including Calpol for babies! The washing machine and dryer work well so no need to pack loads of clothes. The cottage is actually a large house with quirky floors and characteristics which show why it's a listed building! The heating works very well and there's never an issue with a lack of hot water. There's space outside to use the quality charcoal BBQ The beds are firm. The house was clean and tidy when we arrived and we found places to store our food. Decoration - yes a farm vet has clearly left his make and had fun with cows and chickens featuring on mats, serviettes, eg cups etc! The laminated walks were really useful and allowed us to walk from the house to see the area in more detail. The helpful red folder was used many times so thank you.

What a beautiful house and location.

The property is well equipped, home for home and perfect location for family or friends sharing a relaxing time together. The owner himself also ensures everyone is comfortable and ensures that everything is ok for everyone. The location boasts a great pub and several beautiful countryside walks. I would definitely recommend The Old Swan.

The cottage is very well situated in a lovey village.

It is in an ideal location for a some lovely country walks and has a great pub within a minutes walk. The cottage has all the facilities needed including WiFi, Netflix, washing machine and is very tastefully decorated. The beds are very comfortable. I would highly recommend it.

Lovely and well equipped house with all the extras found in someone's home rather than some minimalist holiday properties, great location in the centre of a lovely village in the beautiful Cotswolds.

Highly recommend it, the stairs to the top floor would be tricky for people with mobility issues apart from that absolutely super place

Village walks were perfect to start and end each day, and we found many dog friendly things to do each day within a short drive of the cottage. Would thoroughly recommend this cottage to family and friends.

A wonderful cottage in a brilliant location, the owner (Rupert) has worked hard to ensure that there's plenty of information about what to do locally and there's a very good supply of local maps to help find a walk that will suit all ages and abilities.

Fantastic cottage, loads of atmosphere and very comfortable beds, our only criticism would be no wardrobe or hanging space in second en suite.

The village itself was amazing, very friendly and the cottage couldn’t have been in a better position and came with everything we needed, we will definitely be going back to Sherston, a real find.

Beautiful cottage, central location to a lovely village, good pub over the road plus a well stocked village shop.

The Old swan is beautiful decorated with soft furnishings and lovely curtains and blinds. The only down side is the house sleeps 8 comfortably but there is not enough cooking equipment for that amount of people for evening meals.

Our first time in the Cotswolds - had a grand time, which was made even better by staying in such a fantastic place (absolutely charming village and fantastic cottage).
