Very cozy oceanside cottage!

Beautiful views of the ocean from the main floor. Plenty of space and rooms to accommodate a large group. Walking distance to a great restaurant (The Selkie), and a short drive into town.

Stayed here for 3 nights with family.

The house is well located with fantastic views. The living area is probably the best on the middle floor with a great seated living and adjoining open room looking out over the sea. There are 3 double bedrooms downstairs and 2 at the top of the house - stairs to these are very steep but it has plenty of character. A few maintenance issues with window in kitchen not closing, downstairs bathroom hot tap not working and TV remote in bedroom not working. Only reason I’m giving it 4 stars and not 5. Would definitely go back!

After the first house in Clifden it was a disappointment.

We contacted the cleaning lady as instructed and she left the key under the mat. There were no instructions ,we had to figure out everything ourselves. When the next day we still didn’t have hot water in the kitchen and bathroom sink we called the cleaning lady again, she came, was very friendly and flipped a switch in a cupboard. That gave us hot water in the kitchen but the tap in the bathroom gave no water at all.In the kitchen in Clifden we’re found coffee, tea, sugar, oil, pepper and salt, plenty of dishwasher tablets etc etc. In Bundoran 2 dishwasher tablets, not even a teabag! And why no coffeemaker?!Lots of the lights didn’t work, the smoke detector started bleeping on the second day,no batteries available to replace. An en-suite toilet on the second floor, with no door! The waste containers outside were full to the brim,no extra bin liners available.Etc etc. Having read some of the reviews,we are not the first guests to complain. The property has possibilities but needs a lot of TLC. The rent is to high.Does your agency check the properties you rent?
