Seascape Cottage

This is our fourth visit to Seascape — that says it all!

Great accommodation, beautiful views, and fantastic hosts. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed every stay and wouldn’t hesitate to return. The only downside is that, to enjoy those stunning views, you have to be prepared for the steep walk up to the property, but worth it.

Bright and very comfortable accommodation, thoughtfully equipped.

The view from the balcony is gorgeous, worth the short effort up the drive and steps. The friendly owners on site have excellent tips about things to do and places to eat out.

The house was welcoming, comfortable and well equipped.

Bob and Lorraine are wonderful hosts and on hand for any queries and suggestions for day trips and places to eat. Beer is a beautiful village and we will most definitely be returning.

The accommodation was perfect and the views across the town and countryside towards the sea are fabulous. Bob and Lorraine are so friendly and really knowledgeable and helpful with suggestions of places to visit and local eateries. We enjoyed it so much that we’ve booked again for next year and can’t wait to return.

House was really clean and comfortable.

Hosts were very friendly and most accommodating, and gave us lots of ideas and suggestions for things to do in the area. Loved Beer and all it's facilities.

Lorraine and Bob were very welcoming.

They helped us keep our electric bikes in their garage. The equipment in the kitchen was fine and the whole place was very clean and comfortable. Views were lovely from the balcony which overlooks the Bay at Beer. We would thoroughly recommend this cottage. There are stairs to get to the cottage and people with mobility problems may find it difficult.

The owners Lorraine and Bob who live onsite were very warm and welcoming.

Seascape has a wonderful position in the village with lovely views towards the sea. Having the living area on the upper floor makes the best use of the view. Beer is a quaint friendly seaside community with easy access to the costal path. We have already booked to return in September.

The accommodation was everything we had hoped for and more.

Lovely stay at Seascape last week with my father.

Property is top-notch. Not much time to sit on the balcony as busy visiting different places in the area but in the summer it would be fabulous.

We stayed at Seascape in mid-March for a week.

Our first time in Beer and we had a wonderful time. Seascape is in an ideal location and a short stroll down into Beer which has some good shops and pubs. We did not eat out, but they have some good eateries and 3 good pubs. Beer is a great place to base yourself to go to other places not too far away: Seaton (walkable along the Southwest Coast path), Lyme Regis, Charmouth, Branscombe, Sidmouth, Donkey Sanctuary (free and a nice walk down to the beach at Weston Mouth), Bridport, West Bay, Axminster etc. Accommodation was excellent and all very clean (shower was amazing, beds comfortable, kitchen facilities had all we needed and plenty of utensils). I was particularly impressed by the recycling which in other places we have stayed was non-existent. The owners Lorraine and Bob are lovely, helpful and friendly and very informative. We will visit Beer again and would be happy to stay at Seascape (or Beer View next to Seascape and run by Lorraine and Bob) if available.

We had a fantastic stay at Seascape Cottage.

The cottage was warm and clean on our arrival and the owners are friendly and helpful. The cottage was very well suited for 3 generations of our family (including 6 week old Olivia) & 2 beagles. The 360 degree views were amazing and we all enjoyed the beautiful terrace. Thank you Lorraine and Bob, I’m sure you’ll see us again.

We had a fantastic week staying at Seascape.

The cottage has great views from the large balcony and is surrounded by fields and lovely gardens. Everything you could need is provided and is spotlessly clean. Having off-road parking is a major bonus as is the quiet location with only a short walk down to the village and beach. The owners, Lorraine and Bob, are very welcoming. There is plenty to do in the area and we would love a return visit!

We had an excellent weeks holiday in an immaculate, beautifully appointed property.

The views looking over Beer to Lyme Bay were lovely and the balcony was a great bonus. We could not have been happier with this accommodation. The owners, Lorraine and Bob were so welcoming and helpful.

Seascape is a very well appointed and maintained holiday cottage in a great location.

Lovely views over Beer to the sea. Ideally located for a short wander down into Beer in the evening for a visit to one of the 3 local pubs. The owners, who live in the adjacent property, were extremely welcoming and helpful without ever intruding. All in all, we, 2 adults and one dog, had a wonderful break in a very nice property in a lovely location.

Lovely house with amazing views over Beer, we really enjoyed our stay here.

We couldn't really make too much use of the balcony seating area as it was cold, but this would be gorgeous in summer to sit out first thing in the morning with a coffee soaking up the view. The sofa was so comfortable, I would love to know where it is from so that we can look to buy one! Great to find a property with parking as well as it is limited in Beer.

Bob and Lorraine were fantastic lovely people.

The views were outstanding. The property itself was beautiful. High beams upstairs took my breath away had the most relaxing time away would definitely go back again and would definitely wish I stayed longer recommend to anybody for a nice relaxing chilled time away

Seascape is a beautifully presented cottage sitting up high with stunning views from the balcony looking over the village towards the sea.

The cottage is well equipped with everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. A warm and welcoming space to come back to after a day out exploring the East Devon coastline and beyond,

Beautiful property in a quiet and peaceful elevated position in the lovely village of Beer.

Just a 5-10 minute walk down into the village where there were plenty of amenities, pubs and restaurants for our day to day needs. Very clean and well appointed with everything that we needed. Fantastic views over the village and out to sea from the lounge and balcony. The owners Bob and Lorraine are on site and were very welcoming. They gave us lots of helpful information and advice about things to do, places to visit and where to eat. We had a lovely week, thank you ☺️.

We were very happy at Seascape cottage.

The cottage itself is beautiful, sitting on a great spot with cracking views down to the sea, lovely gardens and countryside views all around. Inside it is very spacious and spotlessly clean. All appliances, utensils, crockery and furnishings are of a high standard. Bathrooms are both spotless and modern with good powerful showers and a bath. Private off road parking is also a big plus and the owners Bob and Lorraine are great, so friendly and welcoming. Also very knowledgeable about the area with regards to eating out and things to do. The village itself (5-10 min walk) is lovely with great pubs, restaurants and a nice mix of shops. All in all a fantastic to holiday and we would love to return. Mark, Jacky and Blue

Seascape Holiday Cottage We went away to with my parents and our dog.

The holiday cottage was, was very dog friendly, clean, tidy, with spectacular views over Beer. The field next to the cottage, is great for dogs. Lorraine & Bob are warm, welcoming and a friendly couple, always there if we needed anything and also gave us great information about places to visit with our dog. Highly recommended, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We would love to see Lorraine and Bob in the future.

We enjoyed a fabulous stay at Seascape Cottage and highly recommend it.

Bob & Lorraine are friendly super hosts with a great knowledge of the area and can give lots of advice on local walking and dog friendly places to eat. The cottage itself is simply amazing, all rooms are fitted out to such a high standard and it has everything you could possibly need to make a stay here so easy and relaxing. The gardens are lovely and surrounded by fields. We were lucky to see the fox, partridges and buzzard. .

We stopped in Seascape, it is a lovely cottage with a necessary facillites, the balcony with the view over the town and the bay is particularly special.

It is handily located to be able to walk into Beer were there are plant of places to eat. Would certainly reccomend the cottage.

We had a lovely holiday at Seascape.

The owners were very helpful and friendly. Seascape had everything we needed and was very well appointed. The steps from the car to Seascape could prove to be a problem for some.

Seascape is in the most incredible location, perched above Beer and from the wrap around balcony on the first floor there are simply incredible views of the village.

To the rear there are fields with an array of wildlife - rabbits, pheasants, a charm of goldfinches, kestrel, butterflies, bees, wildflowers and ponies. It is so peaceful and beautiful you may not want to leave the balcony. If you do manage to drag yourself away you'll need to save some energy to walk to and from the village but the walk is worth it. Beer has everything you need, beach, boats, restaurants, gallery, gift shops, pubs and a village shop. The owners are the cherry on the top - they are so knowledgeable and helpful. If you need anything you only have to ask. We felt like old friends by the time we left.

My wife and I, plus Scout our Labrador, stayed for 4 nights.

We have holidayed at many UK cottages and houses but Seascape wins the prize for beautiful position and an immaculate spacious house with large balcony giving panoramic views. Our hosts, Bob & Lorraine made us feel very welcome. Thank you.
