  • "Beautiful property in a quiet and peaceful elevated position in the lovely village of Beer."

    Just a 5-10 minute walk down into the village where there were plenty of amenities, pubs and restaurants for our day to day needs. Very clean and well appointed with everything that we needed. Fantastic views over the village and out to sea from the lounge and balcony. The owners Bob and Lorraine are on site and were very welcoming. They gave us lots of helpful information and advice about things to do, places to visit and where to eat. We had a lovely week, thank you ☺️.

  • "We were very happy at Seascape cottage."

    The cottage itself is beautiful, sitting on a great spot with cracking views down to the sea, lovely gardens and countryside views all around. Inside it is very spacious and spotlessly clean. All appliances, utensils, crockery and furnishings are of a high standard. Bathrooms are both spotless and modern with good powerful showers and a bath. Private off road parking is also a big plus and the owners Bob and Lorraine are great, so friendly and welcoming. Also very knowledgeable about the area with regards to eating out and things to do. The village itself (5-10 min walk) is lovely with great pubs, restaurants and a nice mix of shops. All in all a fantastic to holiday and we would love to return. Mark, Jacky and Blue

  • "Seascape Holiday Cottage We went away to with my parents and our dog."

    The holiday cottage was, was very dog friendly, clean, tidy, with spectacular views over Beer. The field next to the cottage, is great for dogs. Lorraine & Bob are warm, welcoming and a friendly couple, always there if we needed anything and also gave us great information about places to visit with our dog. Highly recommended, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We would love to see Lorraine and Bob in the future.

  • "We enjoyed a fabulous stay at Seascape Cottage and highly recommend it."

    Bob & Lorraine are friendly super hosts with a great knowledge of the area and can give lots of advice on local walking and dog friendly places to eat. The cottage itself is simply amazing, all rooms are fitted out to such a high standard and it has everything you could possibly need to make a stay here so easy and relaxing. The gardens are lovely and surrounded by fields. We were lucky to see the fox, partridges and buzzard. .

  • "Seascape is in the most incredible location, perched above Beer and from the wrap around balcony on the first floor there are simply incredible views of the village."

    To the rear there are fields with an array of wildlife - rabbits, pheasants, a charm of goldfinches, kestrel, butterflies, bees, wildflowers and ponies. It is so peaceful and beautiful you may not want to leave the balcony. If you do manage to drag yourself away you'll need to save some energy to walk to and from the village but the walk is worth it. Beer has everything you need, beach, boats, restaurants, gallery, gift shops, pubs and a village shop. The owners are the cherry on the top - they are so knowledgeable and helpful. If you need anything you only have to ask. We felt like old friends by the time we left.

    The owners were very helpful and friendly. Seascape had everything we needed and was very well appointed. The steps from the car to Seascape could prove to be a problem for some.

    It is handily located to be able to walk into Beer were there are plant of places to eat. Would certainly reccomend the cottage.

Beer is a small picturesque fishing village on the south Devon coast near Seaton. The shingle beach is very sheltered, backed by limestone cliffs and was once fertile smuggling territory, plus contraband was hidden in nearby caves, which are now a popular tourist attraction. Beer is situated on the stretch of Devon coastline, known as the Jurassic Coast, a designated World Heritage Site, and the village offers sloping streets lined with picturesque stone houses and cottages built on many different levels of the steep valley sides. There are a good range of shops, friendly cafes, restaurants and pubs in Beer, plus just outside the village is the popular Pecorama Gardens, which are perched on the hill overlooking Lyme Bay.
