  • "Our stay was lovely, just what we needed after a very busy Monday getting married!"

The house was lovely, we didn’t have any surprises when we arrived, I.e. different from the photos etc. The only observation we had was the vulux windows in the kitchen didn’t open, so the only air flow was from the patio doors as it did get rather warm on the top floor. Also, as someone had noticed in the guest book (the last family to stay before us) the baking tray was dirty. We didn’t cook whilst there, we were out and about all week seeing Salcombe, but it was noticed as we were making ourselves familiar with the place. The shower in the en-suite, was perfect! So powerful! Overall our stay was just what we needed and would probably come back in the future.

Hello Samantha. I am glad that you had a great time. I’m sorry that you couldn’t open the Velux windows. They do open (our daughter is staying there this week and has opened them) but they do have quite a strong catch on them so needs a good pull. I have reported the dirty oven back to the cleaning team so hope that is resolved now. Thank you again for your booking and hope you come back soon ! Property Owner

  • "Excellent place to stay, spotlessly clean (maybe apart from the oven) which wasn't a real problem as we didn't really use it."

Loved the open plan living area, although with the early morning weather, the bedroom felt a little damp at times. Would definitely consider returning.

  • "We didn’t arrive until quite late ,it was February and therefore cold ."

Think it would have been more comfortable had the heating been on when we got there . We did have a lot of trouble trying to get the heating on and although we called for some help ,no one called us back . Such a shame as the cottage is lovely ,it is clean and very well appointed. The area is breathtakingly beautiful.

Thank you very much for your feedback, we are sorry you found that the property was cold on your arrival. On this occasion, the heating was left at 19 degrees, we can only apologise if this was not warm enough for your arrival. We will make the owners aware of the issues faced when trying to adjust and will work together to adapt the instructions. Unfortunately, we have been unable to trace your out of hours phone call, we are very sorry about this. We look forward to welcoming you back to Salcombe very soon. Property Owner
