  • "Excellent property, images do not do it justice."

    Access is via a very narrow road and steep hill. Do not be put off though as it is an outstanding property with fantastic views. Gardens are wonderful, to which you have full access. The property owner (Jenny) is wonderful and extremely helpful going above and beyond to accomodate any request you may have. I would most certainly recommend this property to anyone and I would definately make a return visit.

  • "Jenny was so welcoming and the cottage so spacious and comfy with wonderful views."

    Only 3 suggestions for improvement- an extra toilet roll for each toilet, some large casserole dishes for things like shepherds pie and crumble, and some sort of sunshade for the deck as the sun was so strong even in April/May that we didn’t want to sit out on the very comfy deck seating. Thank you Jenny though for such a lovely stay at your cottage.

  • "A perfect week's break in this spacious, comfortable accommodation with stunning views overlooking Combe Martin bay."

    Jennie was the perfect host. On arrival we were treated to a welcome pack of artisan cakes. We discovered milk already in the fridge along with wine, beer and prosecco. Tea and coffee in the cupboards if needed. Great place to stay if you want a quiet relaxing break and a good base to explore North Devon. Would definitely recommend.

  • "This property is in a wonderful location with spectacular views."

    There is a steep drive but it is not difficult to negotiate and it is very worth it. The accommodation is superb; large and spacious, extremely comfortable and provides everything you could possibly need. The gardens are beautiful and very well maintained. Host, Jennie, is very welcoming, helpful and available when needed. We were delighted with the "goodies" we found on arrival which were much appreciated. Thank you, Jennie, for a great holiday.   • "This is the best house I have hired."

    Jenny was very helpful and made us feel very welcome sharing her local knowledge and pointing us in the right direction. We were able to do some lovely walks right from the house so explored Combe Martin and the local area. The local bus service is good and we took advantage of using it. Thank you Jenny for being so friendly and making sure Linden View provided us with a home from home. Would love to come back.

  • "The property was exactly as advertised and lovely and clean."

    The property is in a fantastic spot and the views are stunning despite the weather there is always an interesting view. Our host was very welcoming and available without being intrusive at all and supplied us with some lovely goodies, that were very much appreciated.   • "We've just had a lovely week with our daughter's family at this high quality, spacious house and garden."

    Watching the sun go down over the bay while sitting on the terrace will stay with us for a long time. Nothing was too much trouble for the owner, Jennie. We loved the welcome pack on arrival and the daily visits from Gina and Nutmeg who really treated us like their family. We can recommend this property to anyone wanting a peaceful break. Thank you.

  • "Fabulous house - modern and very well kitted out."

    Would benefit from a guest book so people can write down places to eat / see etc. Jennie (the owner) was very friendly and her 2 dogs were an added bonus. We cannot fault the property - one of the best we've stayed in - but the bottom of the drive took some practice to negotiate. Would recommend.

  • "Luxurious property in N Devon."

    Perfect space in open plan living area. Bedrooms on ground and upstairs to accommodate all with modern walk in showers. High quality appliances to cook wash and refrigerate plus flat TVs across property. Fab deck and furniture to enjoy the views and garden. Ideal location to explore the hidden gems on the N Devon coast. Thoroughly good restful week enjoyed.

    The property is beautifully presented, very comfortable and finished to a very high standard, with every amenity you need. The views are amazing and the setting very tranquil.   • "Linden View is possibly the nicest and most comfortable holiday property we have stayed in, furnished and equipped to a very high standard."

    The gardens and views are stunning and Jenny, the owner is very friendly and helpful, her two dogs were also friendly but not intrusive. The location is good for touring North Devon and if we re–visit the area we will book Linden View again.

Linden View is a contemporary, three-bedroom home nestled in the rural heart of Combe Martin, Devon.

Travel up to the property, beyond the owner’s pretty gardens, spanning over 1-acre of land, before taking in your new, tranquil surroundings, looking out towards the Devonshire coastline.

Step indoors and be wowed by the open-plan living space, with its bright interior, fully-integrated kitchen, dedicated dining area, and plenty of plush seating to sink into; use this space as your social hub, before throwing open the bi-fold doors, pouring a glass of chilled wine, and stepping onto the decked area, a haven for alfresco dining and hosting.

As the sun sets, select between three well-appointed bedrooms, starting with a king-size on the ground floor, complete with a wall-mounted TV and a sleek en-suite bathroom; upstairs you will locate a further king-size, also featuring a TV and en-suite, enjoying elevated, sea views, and a twin, complete with two sofa beds.

Start your morning with a stroll around the beautiful gardens, annually visited by RHS Rosemoor, before heading into the town, where you can explore its history at Combe Martin Museum, discover a range of outdoor activities, with stunning coastal trails on offer down to the beach, and the chance to dine and shop locally, with a selection of amenities upon your doorstep.

No visit to the area would be complete without heading to Ilfracombe, a charming seaside resort with a plethora of local attractions; take a stroll along the pier, with a bag of fish and chips in hand, or visit the famous Tunnels Beaches.

Venture to Woolacombe and discover it's three miles of golden sandy beach, a haven for watersports, including paddleboarding, also with plenty of great places to eat, shop, and relax, or for a bit of retail therapy, pop over to Barnstaple, a bustling town centre with a bustling high street to tour.

Travel a little further to Croyde, nestled within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with its sweeping shoreline and lofty sand dunes, where you can also visit the popular Beach Cafe Downend for refreshments, before following the coastal path around to Saunton or Putsborough, for further sea vistas.

COMBE MARTIN

At the point where the Exmoor National Park and the North Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty meet, is where you'll find Combe Martin. This small seaside resort, with all of the necessary amenities, is a great attraction to locals and visitors alike. Combe Martin has a very popular beach; the sheltered cove is perfect for rock-pooling and it is a popular paddle boarding bay. The village also boasts its own Wildlife and Dinosaur Park! Combe Martin is home to the historic Earl of Rone festival held in May each year and has an annual carnival in August. This is an ideal base for touring, and discovering the delights of North Devon, with Lynton and Lynmouth, Woolacombe, Croyde Bay, Saunton Sands, Ilfracombe and Barnstaple all within easy reach. There are also numerous National Trust properties and gardens waiting to be enjoyed. Surfing at Woolacombe is among the best in the South West, while the South West coastal path passes within a mile. Combe Martin is a great base for enjoying a seaside getaway, with something to keep everybody entertained.
