An elegant masterpiece, preserved in time with classic period furnishings and spotless decor, this magnificent Georgian manor farmhouse offers a luxury holiday home in Devon.

Resting on the outskirts of Cornworthy, not far from the popular locations of Dartmouth and Totnes, Gitcombe House is situated at the heart of the Gitcombe Estate.

This Grade II listed property is the largest of the properties within the extensive, beautifully-kept grounds.

Choose to relax in any one of the wonderful rooms, boasting original features including sash windows, quaint shutters and bespoke joinery, plus sophisticated additions like the ornate ceiling cornices.

The grand dining room with the gorgeous mahogany dining table and chairs will be host to countless evenings spent indulging in delicious food and fine wine amidst the fabulous company of your loved ones.

Relax on one of the plush sofas before the huge sash windows in the sitting room as the flames roar in the open fire.

Surrounded by beautiful artefacts, you can choose to continue the conversation in here or play a film on the large flat screen TV, while the children watch a favourite show in the separate snug room.

Wake up to breakfast cooking in the large country kitchen, making use of the impressive AGA cooker and full 'batterie de cuisine'; tuck into your lovingly prepared food at the rustic breakfast table as you discuss what the rest of the day will hold.

Totnes 4.4 miles

Cornworthy is a picturesque village in the sought-after South Hams area of Devon that dates back to Saxon times. Much of the village makes up part of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The coastal towns of Dittisham and Dartmouth are nearby and provide excellent opportunities for marine activities and some of the UKs best seafood restaurants (such as The Seahorse). Totnes is also a short drive away, an attractive, vibrant town, which also includes a railway station that provides direct services to London Paddington in under three hours. For shopping addicts Totnes offers an excellent range of small independent retailers and unique shops. The town is famed for its promotion of ethical products, wholefoods and fair trade goods. In the Civil Hall Square you’ll find the weekly market which is held on Fridays and Saturdays. And an Elizabethan market held each Tuesday morning (May-September), when traders dress in Elizabethan period costumes and the Totnes Sunday Good Food Market.
