Description

On a hill overlooking Dalwood, with all rooms enjoying a magnificent view, a detached, stone and timber-clad, dormer-style cottage converted from a barn on the owners' 10 acres of open land.

Offering comfortable and welcoming accommodation for families and adults, it provides the perfect base from which to enjoy the surrounding countryside.

The kitchen is smartly fitted in beech and stainless steel, and comes with a dining area for enjoying meals.

The sitting room is light and airy with huge glass doors and a magnificent view over the surrounding hills.

You can choose from a handy family bedroom downstairs or the pretty double which you will find in the eaves up the steep narrow stairs, together with its en suite bathroom with central romantic slipper bath.

The garden is a peaceful place to relax, with lawn, furniture and a barbecue for alfresco meals.

Wander down the easy footpath through fields into the village to browse in the village shop or eat at the good pub.

This is a conservation area with lots of footpaths, so it’s great walking country in the Blackdown Hills or along the coast around Lyme Regis, Seaton, Beer or Sidmouth.

With golf, riding and fishing nearby, there are plenty of opportunities for outdoor activity.

Axminster and Honiton are both interesting towns to explore, Little Evanses is a splendid base for simply enjoying the views or touring Devon, Dorset and Somerset.

We absolutely loved Little Evanses, by far the best equipped, most comfortable and cleanest property we have ever stayed in.

The location is stunning and convenient for so many places to visit - if you can tear yourselves away from the peace and tranquillity that is! The owners are helpful and friendly, thankyou both so much for the welcome gifts. We can't wait to come back. Bev and Gordon MacDonnell (Sarah and Ronnie daughter and Grandson aged five).

Surpassed our expectations; roomy accommodation, very well supplied with just about everything.

Owners very welcoming. Beautiful views, wildlife-watching from the windows - never seen so many Goldfinches together! Some lovely walks very close by, though be prepared for steep slopes. When driving elsewhere, lovely lanes, though narrow and twisty, to reach main road or coast - just take your time!

The property was stunning with breathtaking views, in a perfect location for day trips out to several locations.

You could not ask for anything more of a holiday let, with a lot of thought and attention to comfort to ensure the perfect holiday. Would highly recommend and look forward to returning in the future.
