We found our holiday very enjoyable, comfortable and easy going.

It is a very pretty and peaceful part of the country, and the hostess was very considerate and kind. we would definitely recommend it to anyone who asks

Very clean and tastefully decorated with everything you need.

A very comfortable and nicely furnished accommodation in a quiet location and not too far away from Dartmouth.

This property is probably the best one we have stayed in for several years, there are one or two maintenance issues which we discussed with the owner and it was acknowledged as needing doing, however as the Annexe had been fully booked they could not be resolved until a time window appeared.

The property was ideal for two people, it was spotless and had all the amenities, the location was also excellent for reaching Dartmouth (about 5miles) and Strete (1.5miles) supermarkets were also easily reached, as were a couple of Pubs providing meals etc.

The facilities were excellent.

An idyllic property in peaceful surroundings and with easy access to the amenities of the South Hams coastal towns/villages and beaches. Lyn the owner welcoming and friendly and available to contact if one needed. Hope to return again.

EASTDOWN annexe was beautifully clean,very comfortable, lashings of hot water and very well equipped, added to ,for us , a perfect destination it was everything we had hoped for.

We were very lucky with the weather and were able to relax in the garden, which was very safe for our dog, and it really couldn’t have been any better. Wi-Fi again was very good and Lyn very kindly called in to check that all was ok. A very enjoyable holiday and we hope to visit EASTDOWN annexe in the future.

My stay with my dog Jonty was excellent.

The annexe is very clean and comfortable. The area is very green only a short drive to lots of beaches. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back hopefully. Lyn was very welcoming .

Before booking any cottage we tend to read the reviews and there are many for Eastdown Annex - all highly positive, which we can throughly endorse.

Rather than repeating these we wanted to add something which will be helpful. We found accommodation in any nearby towns or sites invariably meant parking away from the property. If like us you bring all but the kitchen sink on holiday, it was extremely helpful to park by the entrance - and the Annex couldn’t be more convenient! Paul & Margaret

The holiday annex was situated in a perfect location, not more than ten minutes from the sea and Dartmouth.

The local store not far away and in the village post office had all the items one would need to be self sufficient. Even down to the birthday card left at home for the wife. The break was for a period of one week and unfortunately weather this year wasn’t to kind and ment only one day on the beach at Slapton sands. The unfortunate situation was our blind dog who developed cataract a week earlier caught his toe nail in the shingles at the annex and needed veterinary care immediately back home. But we enjoyed the three days at the annex before returning home early. We would certainly recommend this accommodation to anyone wanting to visit south Devon. My only critique would be to lay artificial grass instead of shingles in the garden to prevent small dogs tripping or stumbling.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay facilities are amazing if you have a few mobility issues this is the place to stay very friendly and accommodating lovely welcoming hampers also for the dog thank you to Lyn for the eggs.

Had a lovely time at eastdown annexe so many places to visit it was relaxing and thank you lyn for an enjoyable time and many thanks for the goodies when we arrived even dog treats.

The Annexe was very well appointed with everything you would need.

It is in an ideal location to travel to the well known tourist attractions and beautiful beaches near by. Lynn is a lovely host and checked in on us to ensure everything was satisfactory. Our holiday experience was greatly enhanced by beautiful sunny, warm weather.

We had a wonderful stay in Eastdown annex.

Really clean and nothing was left uncatered for. The owner,Lynne, left a lovely welcome pack and couldn’t have been more helpful during our stay. Will definitely be booking again.

Super clean and welcoming.

Quiet surroundings. Very handy for nearby towns and beaches. Comfy bed. Small kitchen but well equipped. Could probably do with some shelf storage above sink but that's a minor point. The welcome pack could list location of nearby petrol stations, closest supermarket, farm shops maybe?

Hubby,myself & Podge our pooch had the most fantastic two week stay at Eastdown Annexe, an absolute little gem of Lyn’s, spotless clean throughout, very tastefully furnished, all linen, curtains, bedding, towels all top quality, perfect accommodation for a quiet & relaxing vacation, beaches minutes away, lots of fabulous places to visit & plenty of places to enjoy a fabulous meal, Lyn provides a lovely welcome pack of goodies very much appreciated also treats & throws etc for your fur baby, was such a pleasure chatting with Lyn & family, very friendly people, we look forward to a return visit to Eastdown Annexe, thank you Lyn.

The property is as described and very well maintained.

We had everything we needed to cook basic meals , the bed was very comfortable and everywhere was spotlessly clean.The milk, eggs and biscuits left to welcome us were much appreciated.We were glad of the fan in the lounge as we did have a couple of hot days but the bedroom remained nice and cool.

Lyn the owner is very helpful. The annexe is always immaculate. It is in a great location just a few minutes drive from two beaches.

Eastdown Annexe is a superb self contained property tucked away in the South Devon countryside.

I found it to be quiet and very relaxing. There is easy access to the coast and the beaches of Blackpool Sands and Slapton Sands. Dartmouth is close to hand as well with river trips and steam train rides to Paignton. Lyn was very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. It is the perfect place for two or one to get away from it all, and I am looking forward to the day I return. Highly recommended.

Most comfortable 2 bed accommodation set in the countryside.

This is the 2nd time we have been to Eastdown Annexe.

It is in a beautiful spot. Everything you need for a comfortable stay, comfy bed and all the amenities you need. The garden is a sun spot with loungers and barbecue. I’m sure we will be visiting again in the future. Thank you to Lynne for the welcome packs for us and our dog.

The website and description for Eastdown Annex do not do it justice - it is better than it looks.

Bedroom and lounge are good size; Kitchen and bathroom are "compact" but will equipped and sufficient for the two of us. Peaceful. Wonderful view over rolling farmland. Quiet location (down a lane but not a white-knuckle ride). Perfect central location for all the places we pre-planned to visit (Dartmouth, Dartington Hall, Compton Castle, Slapton Leys). Also discovered quirky Totnes, food in Torcross, chilling on Blackpool Beach and peace in Tuckenhay (the last is not for the faint hearted driver).

Very secure for your dog. Everything you need is provided like a home from home. Lynne the owner introduced herself and was such a lovely lady. The property was spotlessly clean. No doubt we will return.

A lovely quiet, immaculately clean and superbly equipped abode.

Eastdown Annex was lovely just right for us and Millie our Cockapoo with a very secure garden.

Should we need anything then Lyn was there to help. She tells us her son in-law is going to put a handrail by the steps into the property which will be great. I have Spinal Stenosis so needed help getting up and down the steps so that will be much better should anyone else struggle. I would certainly recommend this property and it is in beautiful countryside. Lyn had also left us some treats which does not always happen so again very much appreciated. Thankyou it was all lovely. Lovely small bungalow accommodation, just right for two people.

Situated down a country lane, so very peaceful, but only a few miles from Dartmouth and the coast. Ideal for visiting South Devon. Both Torquay and Plymouth are around an hour away, with plenty of other small towns and other attractions within that range. There are quite a few National Trust properties in the area, so having a membership to the NT is a good idea. Another good trip is to visit Buckfast Abbey, its a lovely peaceful location. The only issue we had with the accommodation was due to my wife's poor mobility.she struggled on the small stones used outside the property for the outdoor seating area and also the two steps up to the property itself as there is no rail to hold onto. Will definitely consider the property again next time we are holidaying in the area.

An amazing Annexe with everything super clean.

All as advertised, met the owner a nice OK Lady !

Just one thing which would give it a top rating from me is the seating ! In this instance the Sofa ! As a Pensioner who lives on his own should I of taken a fellow Pensioner mate down with me on Holiday then we would of had to of taken a Camp bed ! A nice Sofa Bed in the living room would of caterered for my situation , this is not in anyway a criticism just an observation ! I eventually went on my own anyway but for the future !

Everything was perfect very clean and everything we needed for our stay was on hand. We met LYN the owner a lovely lady who deserves to make the letting of EASTDOWN a success. We enjoyed ourselves so much we have booked again for a week in October

What a lovely 2 weeks holiday.

Accommodation was 1st class, the attention to detail1st class. The owner came and introduced herself, and she made us feel welcome. It is set in the beautiful countryside of Devon. Enjoyed it so much we have booked again for 2023.

Great rural location within easy reach of many beautiful beaches, towns, heritage railway trips and river cruises.

The property was spotlessly clean and we could not think of anything that was not provided. The welcome pack of milk, eggs and biscuits was much appreciated. The bed was especially comfortable and really helped make a restful stay.

Spotlessly clean with a welcome basket for us and the dog which was a nice touch.

The bed was extremely comfortable. Lovey little gravel garden which was a sunny spot with bistro seating set, a couple of sun beds, and a large BBQ. The kitchen was small but had everything you needed and the shower was nice and hot. Would definitely like to stay there again.

Absolutely lovely stay, the cosy accommodation was well equipped and spotlessly clean.

The outside space was perfect for the dog. The lovely little touches from Lyn made it home from home We stayed for 3 nights which was relaxing after some lovely walks We ete a couple of times at The Sportsmans, a short drive away, would highly recommend too.

Small but comfortable.

The only problem we had was the hot water system, one minute we had hot water the next it ran cold, when it ran hot it was too hot. The shower was very good though. It was the kitchen taps and bathroom taps that were the problem.

Very comfortable with good quality furnishings and fittings.

Thoughtful welcome basket really appreciated after a long journey. Only 15mins to Dartmouth and the coast plus lovely starry skies on clear nights. Would recommend and stay again. Just as described on the website.

A private comfortable little cottage in a good location.

The only issue we had was with the heating, it was cold on our first night. However you rectified this quickly and the rest of our stay was enjoyable.

This was a little heaven hide away!

It seems like your in the middle of no where, however there was a lovely pub up the road and only about 15 minutes away from Dartmouth and Dartmouth town is beautiful. Really dog friendly and we will definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely little annex, it was big enough for two adults and a dog, very clean and a beautiful location.

The owner was very nice and took the time to chat to us. Would highly recommend as a nice base to explore this area.

lovely setting, peaceful ,spotlessly clean, taste full furnishings cannot remember when we have felt so at home, would recommended it to anyone wanting a good place to holiday.

I was slightly worried because the annexe looked quite small.

It is small but well designed and had everything we needed.Not sure the picture in your brochure does it justice. We were very pleased that the place was spotlessly clean and the bed very comfortable.

Booking the property was not satisfactory.

An unexplained sum of £25 was added to the bill and was only visible on line after payment was made. It has been impossible to get an answer on the telephone for an explanation. This was the first time using sykes, and will more than likely use Toad Hall next time. Have to say that the property was fine.

We had a brilliant week, weather was good Eastdown was comfortable and we did manage a distanced chat with the owner despite covid and she was very welcoming.

Plenty to do in and around Dartmouth without having to go very far. Will want to try it again when covid is out of the way and going out is easier.

Our stay at Eastdown Annexe was fantastic, we wish we had stayed longer and we would be happy to return and recommend.

The annexe was very well presented on arrival, cleaned very thoroughly and there was a lovely welcome basket with a few essentials for us and the dog. The annexe is very well equipped; a lovely big bed, generous bedroom storage, a very good shower and a kitchen will all the pots, pans and utensils you could possibly need. The location of the annexe is great, secluded, private yet easy to find. Slapton Sands (dog friendly beach) is only a 10 minute drive and is very beautiful. Dartmouth is a twenty minute drive which is great for stocking up on essentials. We also found a number of walks to be taken from the annexe itself which were enough to keep the dog happy.

Eastdown Annexe is a great place to be if you are just a couple or have a dog.

Just 3 miles from Dartmouth, it is located in the countryside and is superb. The facilities are great and the place is very safe and secure, in a great location to explore the surrounding coast. I will definitely go back, I loved it!
