Sit out on the balcony, which benefits from afternoon and evening sun, sipping a refreshing drink after a day of exploring.

Head down a further flight of stairs to the lower ground floor and discover the kingsize bedroom and the family shower room with a large walk-in shower.

As an alternative to the en suite bedroom on the entrance level, there is a further bedroom with bunkbeds.

Great location to town (on an incline so may not suit all) a bit tight on the road coming in but we purposely took our smaller car as read from the reviews.

Kitchen had everything we needed. Beds were very comfortable and showers were good too. Place was spotlessly clean. We even got to use the balcony when the rain stopped which was a nice touch. The collection of keys was easy as a short walk into town once we had parked. Very handy to have a M&S food hall nearby as we ate mostly in the accommodation (great to have a dishwasher!) We went as 2 couples. There is only parking for one car, so we parked the other car at the park and ride as there are parking restrictions on roads and local car parks. The double bedroom on the top floor is quite bijou but was fine for a couple of nights, the comfy bed and powerful shower made up for it! We all agreed the property was nicer than we were expecting, so a bonus and if we ever returned to Dartmouth we would definitely come back.

Getting the keys was extremely frustrating.

It took four phone calls to sort out. Anyone with anything bigger than a saloon car would struggle with the width of the road leading to the property, and parking was very tight. The instructions for cleaning before leaving were very precise, and if the tools needed had been available it would have been fine. However, there was only a handheld hoover (the type used for cleaning a car). As the lounge area is large and carpeted, this meant cleaning on your hands and knees. There was no broom, and a search of the whole house for a hairdryer proved fruitless. On the plus side, the property was okay for a short stay because we didn’t want to keep going out. If you plan to go out daily, navigating the narrow roads would be difficult.
