What guests are saying
We enjoyed a lovely stay at Sandquay View, the cottage is very comfortable and had everything we needed.
The steps, that are clearly stated, are a little tiring but we were climbing them around five times a day! The views are beautiful and it is a quiet yet convenient location. We enjoyed sitting in the front garden which looked recently landscaped.
Loved this house and online description good.
New windows recently installed and easy to use. A quiet and peaceful location. Kitchen facilities great - had oil, herbs and spices, etc. Bathroom on ground floor at back of house with great shower. Steps leading up to the house and lack of parking, mentioned in the description, will be a challenge for some. (Stair-gate in house would be advised with young children.) Seated areas in the garden but enjoyed sitting in seats in the front of the house. Fabulous views of river from the upstairs sitting room and the front bedroom - great seeing the river activity. Only a few minutes walk to main street and one of the ferry crossings. Dartmouth and surrounding areas really beautiful with lovely walks. Hope to rebook soon.
Lovely property in a wonderful location with charming river views from some of the the first-floor rooms, and a private well-kept garden with very enjoyable outdoor seating.
Kitchen and bathroom are quite new with everything in good working order. We will definitely come again! As the description says, the stairs leading up to the property are quite steep (we were told the cadets in the nearby Naval College call this slope "Cardiac Hill", and after moving your luggage plus shopping upstairs, you will know why!). The great views make it worthwhile though. Technically, there is no dedicated parking at this property, but Sandquay Rd has a few free public spaces that are resident-only between the hours of 10-11am and 2-3pm, so with a bit of planning and cat-and-mouse games with the traffic warden, we were able to park at the bottom of the stairs for free on most days.
