6 Faraway Fields

We booked very last minute to get away for peace and quiet, but we had none.

We arrived to hear next door (7) having a party with extremely loud music until late. (Therefore making us sleep in the other double room, and not the master bedroom). Next morning no 5 was being painted on the outside for next couple of days ( Sunday he started before 7am)! and on our last day Tuesday he was pressure washing the outside so we couldn’t sit on the decking and therefore went out for the day.The glass, inside and out was very dirty. (Green mould on outside decking glass). Outside chairs also. Hot tub was lovely. Needs sun loungers. Lovely clean linen and towels. The inside was very nice as well, just need to keep on top of the cleaning. On site food of some sort would be helpful.

Another great holiday at Faraway Fields, this our 3rd stay.

We were delighted with No:6, lovely and clean, comfortable and kitted out well. The hot tub was perfect and warm on arrival. Now looking to rebook in 2026.

We had a wonderful stay, the lodge was lovely, light and airy beautifully decorated and very comfortable.

The bonus was the hot tub. The surroundings and grounds of Southern Halt were beautiful, nestled in the beautiful Cornish Countryside. Hopefully will be returning again next year.

Sun loungers for the decking would be a very good addition to the accomodation in our opinion as well as plastic drinks 'glasses' for use in the hot tub.

Another nice stay at Faraway Fields, this time staying at a different lodge and didn't fail to suit us.

Clean, staff very helpful, and overall a very good stay.

The lodge was probably the cleanest, most well-maintained and well-looked after property I have ever stayed in.

The park was superb and Charteroak the owners were brilliant.

This lodge was absolutely perfect for us.

It was secluded, tranquil & comfortable. The beds were so comfortable, we all slept so well. Sally made contact on our first day & was beyond helpful. We chose a 4 bed lodge to give us extra space, which it did & the extra bathroom proved useful. The little extras like milk in the fridge & welcome pack were very much appreciated. We will definitely be returning.

Beautiful property with great facilities.

We had a lovely stay, enjoyed the lodge and loved the privacy and ease of using the hot tub after a busy days exploring.

I have previously stayed in 14 and 15 Faraway but number 6 was laid out so much better and more modern.

Bed were comfortable. The whole lodge was spotless. There was milk in the fridge for our arrival. Hot tub was clean and warm. The whole weekend was beautiful and we will absolutely be back again. Improvements/suggestions: -dust pan and brush in cleaning cupboard as we could sweep using the large brush but then had to get the hoover out to clean the pile up. -robes for all guests for the hot tub

Another fantastic stay at Southern Halt, this was our 7th.

A gorgeous quiet site with views all around. A great location for both coasts. Local shop a short walk away. Lodge was perfect. Clean, cosy and so warm. Great hot tub, serviced daily. 3 immaculate bathrooms. Excellent facilities throughout. Will be booking again soon.
