What guests are saying
Absolutely loved the retreat, the owners couldn’t be more helpful and friendly.
The kitchen was well equipped and easy to use, the pint of milk, bottle of wine and local biscuits were a nice touch too. Internet speed was great although if watching tv (fire stick), try not to use other devices as it does freeze due to band width. We found the cottage very cozy and homely and loved the fact it was dog friendly too. Would we stay again….? Most definitely……..and thank you to ‘Pip’ who regaled us with his tales and memories. Chris, Linda and Rocco….
Lovely cottage.
The landlord was welcoming, and when we opened up the cottage was nice and warm. Couldn't find the hairdryer though?¹ Loved the milk, bottle of wine too. Will be coming back. Even got chatting to the neighbours. Friendly people all around the cottage. Good garden enclosed for our 2 dogs too.
The accommodation was very comfortable with everything you need and is tastefully furnished.
Set in an idilic location where the property certainly lives up to its name as it was so tranquil and quaint with a little railway station just a couple of doors down. The train is on a single line and you can travel to Looe or Liskeard but don't forget to put your hand out so it will stop for you! The owners of the property were very friendly and helpful. The only small criticism I have is about the lighting in the Lounge. I think it would benefit from the bulbs being changed to 'warm white' to give it a more cosy feel to the room and also I think the room might benefit from having a standard lamp in the corner by the cupboard as there are no wall lights. We really liked the property and situation and certainly hope to visit there again.
