The flat is in an elevated position with marvellous views over the valley and has a dedicated parking space if you don't want to tackle the steep climb from the bottom.

There are steps down to the flat from the lane above but once inside, it is full of lovely and quirky design features. Maggie as host lives below and cannot do enough for you, including incorporating grocery deliveries to the door if you want as part of her own online supermarket orders.

We had a lovely stay at The Knoll.

We were there for a week and the flat was very clean, cosy and comfortable and it was a great base for us to explore Cornwall from. Maggie (the lovely owner) lives in the property underneath the flat and when we arrived there was a welcome basket of fruit, some biscuits, cereal and milk for us which we all thought was a lovely touch. The kitchenette is very small so don't expect to be making big meals! It was fine for us as we ate out most days however, for making light meals/snacks, there is a handy toaster kettle, air fryer, two hob burner (electric), fridge/freezer and a sink. It was well equipped too. There is a lovely view from the small balcony and the walk into Looe is straight out of the gate and down a steep path. The walk back up from town is challenging but if you take it slow it is doable. My 71-year-old mum, who has mobility issues, managed it - slowly with lots of rests - which was fine because the views are brilliant. The building is built into the hill (as are most homes in Looe) so the parking spaces are on the road above and the flat is accessible via some steps going down to it. The weather was not brilliant while we were there but that did not spoil our break in Cornwall. Maggie even rang me halfway through our stay to ask if we were warm enough and needed heating putting on (which we didn't but we thought that was very thoughtful!) A lovely place and a lovely host. Thank you.
