  • "Home made bread and biscuits plus butter and Prosecco as extras to tea, coffee and milk much appreciated on arrival at this beautifully converted barn."

    Well equipped kitchen with the added plus of an air fryer. Relaxing decor sturdy hand rail on stairs.Thick towels for hot tub plus dressing gowns were a bonus. Very peaceful, quiet sunny garden with dining table and chairs, loungers and comfy seats. Hot tub had a new super light weight cover. Great variety of garden birds.3 fans were well used. Ideal base to relax read etc close to Dartmoor, the coast , National Trust properties and the The South Devon Steam railway at Buckfastleigh. Very helpful owners Howard and Suze.

  • "My boyfriend and I expected a lovely weekend away and what we actually got was a slice of heaven."

    The area is so calm and peaceful, and there are so many things to do when you’re there. We both absolutely loved the accommodation and felt right at home from the second we arrived. We will definitely be back, for much longer than a weekend.

  • "We had a lovely break in Foxglove Cottage."

    Easy to get to with helpful directions by email, easy to park and unload, great welcome from Howard, welcome pack was superb including fizz, homemade bread and mince pies (which lasted about 10minutes) and decorated for Christmas was a really nice touch too. Cottage had lots of space, comfy beds, all the facilities you could ever need, well equipped kitchen, fantastic hot tub and lovely and warn throughout. Loved the attention to detail with torches, fridge up and running on arrival, hot tub ready to use, all kitchen utensils laid out and easy to find. Loved it. Only downside was we stayed for 4 days.......would have loved to stay longer!

  • "Foxglove Barn is an absolute gem."

    Howard and Suzie are perfect hosts, gave us space to relax but also happy to help with any queries. All the little things that are usually missing in a holiday let have been thought of and made it feel like a home from home. The house is so cosy, well equipped, comfortable beds, space to relax, plenty of bathrooms and a fabulous hot tub. The welcome gifts were incredible, really made us feel welcome and were super helpful for our stay. We would 100% recommend Foxglove Barn and look forward to booking again in the future. Thank you!

  • "We had such a wonderful stay at Foxglove cottage and would recommend it highly."

    We stayed with our 10 and 8 year old boys and none of us wanted to leave. It was a great base for exploring the area and beyond and also for a cosy ‘home’ day too. The owners are lovely and nothing was too much trouble for them, they gave a gorgeous welcome arrival with home made biscuits and home made bread, which was very well received. We would definitely return.

  • "We absolutely loved staying here!"

    It was peaceful and so relaxing especially having the hot tub to chill in. The barn had everything we needed, and it was lovely and so thoughtful to have goodies there when we arrived. Foxglove barn was so spacious which we didn’t expect. We would definitely stay again in the future! Thank you for everything!

  • "Fabulous property, very beautiful place which is owned by very a lovely couple."

    Hot tub was really great and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Great kitchen which was very well equipped. Lovely lounge area, and very comfortable beds. Small downside is second bedroom en-suite has an electric shower but no basin, or toilet. However, we had a really lovely time and would definitely recommend the property.

This idyllic cottage sits within a development of barns with the owner’s barn next door, a few miles from the village of South Brent amidst the glorious Devon countryside.

Located on the edge of the Dartmoor National Park Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Foxglove Barn is a great family base for from which to explore the rolling countryside and dramatic coastline of Devon: cyclists will be delighted to discover that the National Cycle Network passes the end of the driveway.

Step inside this charming haven and discover the kitchen/diner, equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher, assisting with the home-cooking.

This welcoming living space benefits from french doors opening to the patio, creating the ideal social area for dining and relaxing.

Enjoy a meal around the dining table before heading upstairs and making yourself at home in the living space, equipped with comfortable seating, a Smart TV and an electric fire, inviting you to spend your down time.

At either end of the room lies the bedrooms; the master offers a king-size bed, TV with Roku stick and DVD player, walk-in wardrobe and en-suite bathroom, whilst the family room hosts a double and single bed with an en-suite shower, WC and basin and smart TV.

After a day of adventure, soothe your muscles in the hot tub or relax on the patio furniture while the sun sets – the addition of a barbecue means you can enjoy grilled feasts too!

If you are visiting with the little ones then be sure to visit the award-winning Pennywell Farm, home to over 150 animals with hands-on activities, rides and shows!

For the more adventurous Woodlands Theme Park, at Totnes has something for all ages.

The South Devon coastline offers sand, sea and surf, as well the spectacular coastal path.

Take a trip to Bigbury for a memorable family day out offering beach fun, water sports and rockpools. Or for something a bit different take the sea tractor to Burgh Island with its Art Deco hotel and 14th century inn.

Foxglove Barn is a wonderful escape to Dartmoor, whatever time of year.

Located on the Southern edge of Dartmoor, England is the charming village of South Brent. This village is packed with history which dates back to the Bronze Age meaning that many hut circles, enclosures and barrows are found on the high moorlands. On Brent Hill, ruins of an ancient building and windmill remain, thought to date back to around 1790. The village is within the boundaries of Dartmoor National Park, with several shops and pubs in the village centre. Nearby is Pennywell Farm which is only 3 miles away, Totnes Castle which is 6.1 miles away, Wrangaton Golf Club 3 miles away and Dainton Park Golf Club can be found within 10 miles of the village.
