Amazing accommodation, definitely back again

This accommodation has a lot to commend.

extremely close to the sea, with a sea view and the beach and a short walk to the pubs and shop round the bay. Lovely walks up along the coast. The accommodation is well equipped and had recently been refurbished. We thought it was good value for money and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

This is a lovely property and the way it is decorated and equipped amazingly everything you need and it is so nice not to have cheaper plates and mugs making the feel more homely and even the dog felt relaxed

Lovely clean property in excellent location, our 3rd visit, booked again for next year

Only gripe was a smelly fridge; it smelt of old milk, and we had loaded it before we really noticed, so lived with it for the week.

Otherwise it was great. Maybe the carpets could do with a Vax, but this was accentuated by the shiny new carpet in the end bedroom!

A lovely property very close to Inner Hope beach.

The property however needs some TLC. There was a delay before any responses to our main issue was received and could be addressed. The main issue we had was an awful smell coming from the property as soon as you entered and damp carpets in the main bedroom. This was assessed 4 days after our arrival and treated on day 5!!! Reported early day 2 after we tried to rectify ourselves by airing the property, etc. The signal is non existent, so communicating with coast and country was via email as they never answered the phone. Since being treated by cleaning the carpets it was much improved but the smell had started to return. Paint was also flaking off the wall in the lounge area and overall could do with a full deep clean.

this is our third time at this apartment and it has had a slight upgrade to the bathroom and the level of cleanliness was much better.

We had a great stay.

I grew up in Hope Cove and it was amazing to share that experience with my two young kids. Thank you for providing a fabulous place to allow that to happen. It couldn’t have been better!

This was a very comfortable and well-equipped property in a wonderful location.

The only problem we had was with the frying pans and their loose handles. After using the smaller pan the handle came off. We bought a screwdriver to try and fix it but to no avail. Otherwise the stay was perfect!

Fabulous apartment, very clean, comfortable, spacious and well-equipped.

Very close the the beach, with amazing views of the sea and Burgh Island. Short walk into the village centre for pub, shop, gallery etc. Highly recommended!

the position of the property is just excellent for small children and older parent. we had a great stay again.

Fabulous place that we absolutely loved from stepping foot in.

We had a lovely holiday thank you. Being so close to the beautiful beach was perfect for our family holiday with young children. Small things that could have been improved were the pillows weren’t great, the dining table was great that it extended to allow space for puzzles etc but unfortunately it needs fixing to be able to go back together safely. Also the shower door on the en-suite bathroom was unreliable. However the provision of Children’s games, films, crockery (though more bowls & some cutlery would be even better) was a real bonus. “Grown up” crockery was all lovely too! And the updated look of soft furnishings from the photos was a pleasant surprise. We will definitely be back.

We had a lovely week at Hope Cove House.

Such a lovely setting and amazing view! Accommodation is spacious and well equipped, I’d def stay there again! Cleanliness was very good. The main bay window could have done with a clean - especially as you’re looking out at the view! But that would be me being very picky. There’s a terrace at the front, and it matches the description so this isn’t a complaint but we felt they could easily make more of it, pop a gate on so it’s dog safe and put some pots out the front. A very lovely holiday home!

A lovely spacious ground floor apartment.

Lots of little extras been provided in the kitchen / living area. However, the cleanliness and maintenance really let the property down. Reported all to coast & country. The cleaners came out, but failed to clean the correct bathroom that had mouldy marks all around the shower screen (not attractive!) & massive cobwebs in the kitchen. Mouldy marks all over the net curtains was very off putting too. Maintenance team never turned up to complete the repairs reported & no phone signal didn't help when trying to report issues. It did put a dampner on our holiday! For the price we paid for the week's holiday, we were disappointed that our issues weren't dealt with & i will be taking further with coast & country!

We booked a short 3 day break mid January.

Cove View is a lovely appartment and was just perfect for our needs. 5 of us in total. The property was comfertable, warm and well equipped in a great location. I am sure we will be back again in the future.

Apartment is spacious, light with wonderful views over inner hope beach from side and bay windows.

Furnishings and facilities are good quality and comfortable. Loved sitting on patio in the morning with coffee watching the tide. Hope Cove is a very special place and we will definitely return to this lovely accommodation. Thank you

We are regular visitors here, however there were a few things that seem to have worsened.

1. The first refusal on previous guests was not something we were told had been removed. 2. The cleaning was not as thorough as expected. There were areas of visible dirt along ledges, along cupboards and behind sofas etc. We were told we could move it at 3pm but the cleaners were not finished until ten past (not a huge deal but we were waiting in poor weather outside). 3. The damp has got much worse. Particularly in the master bedroom. There was insufficient ventilation to address this issue, and nothing to advise guests on how to manage it, as Eddystone do next door. Clothes simply cannot dry inside at all. A tumble dryer could be provided but isn't available for guests.

This is a great location and the apartment was spotless and well appointed.

What let it down was the damp in the back bedrooms, the house is built into a slope which meant the back bedroom in particular was partially under ground level. The carpet felt damp underfoot and duvet, sheets and pillowcases also felt damp when going to bed, despite leaving the small heater on before we went to bed it made little difference. So glad to be back home and sleeping in a dry bedroom.

The property was as described but the standard of cleanliness of the property was terrible and an issue, as we are in a Covid Pandemic and it hadn't been cleaned properly.

A lovely, modern apartment right next the sea-what more could you want!

? Key box was handy to not have to worry about taking it out! Hoping to come back next year :) The dishwasher caused a power cut but shortly after we found the fuse box in the cupboard and just switched everything back on so no problems.

Cove View is a delightful property - great layout, lots of space, all amenities you could want for, and to top it off an AMAZING location.

With a parking space. A really brilliant holiday home. Would definitely stay there again. We did have one problem which was that the electricity cut out due to a fault somewhere. I called Coast and Country, and after waiting aaages on hold, finally got through to someone. They did act swiftly, with an electrician turning up that afternoon, but he was unable to locate the source of the problem and left. There was no further follow up and we had multiple power cuts throughout our last day. We were glad the issue happened at the end of the holiday, and can only imagine the inconvenience for the next set of guests. We appreciate that this sort of thing is not a usual occurrence so it wouldn't put us off staying at this property again. One genuine negative comment though - I had a question about the property prior to our visit and it was impossible to make contact with anyone. The telephone service for Coast and Country is very poor. on the number I was given, the recorded message and options did not work, there was no way to contact the owners, and with the electricity unresolved during our stay, the only thing that let it down was our interactions (or lack thereof) with Coast and Country.

The noise from the flat above is extremely loud in the twin bedroom.

We were unlucky to have a couple staying above us who got up very early and went to bed very late. It meant that the person staying in the twin room was exhausted as the creaking floorboards from above are very loud and you can even hear the couple talking in the room above. I appreciate that as the flats are owned by separate people that it would not be easy to persuade them to do anything about sound proofing but it would make us seriously consider staying there again as the noise was so disruptive. Otherwise the flat was great value and a lovely place to stay.

It was a brilliant location close walking distance to the beach, and to the local pub restaurant etc.

The accommodation was excellent very clean and tidy, equipped with everything needed for a family holiday. The flowers were a lovely welcome. Plus all the little extras like games, jigsaws, books, toys, and dvd’s, were appreciated by the children.

More information was needed on the property description about the number of flats in the beach house. The people above were noisy at times which made it hard to sleep and there was also limited parking given we had 2 cars
