Resting on pristine, private parkland on the outskirts of the Devonshire market town of Tavistock, enjoying exceptional, long-reaching views of the surrounding, luscious countryside, Hurdwick Lodge is an exquisite holiday home welcoming eight guests for a relaxing, self-catered escape with the magnificent setting of the Dartmoor National Park to the east, and the Tamar Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty to the west.
Soak in the beautiful parkland surroundings as you drive up to your new home-from-home, which boasts off-road parking for up to four cars and a well-presented, open-plan living space.
After you've chosen your bedroom, get to work in the fully-equipped kitchen, where you'll find all the appliances required to cook up a delicious meal for the whole family to enjoy at the dining table.
After dinner, relax and unwind in the sitting area, which features dual aspect windows that showcase your stunning, rural location, where you and your loved ones can enjoy a film on the sleek, Smart TV as you catch up on the day's events.
As day rolls into night, refresh with a rejuvenating shower or perhaps an indulgent bath before you retire for a well-earned rest in one of the four plush bedrooms, which include a master suite complete with king-size bed, dressing area, and an en-suite bathroom.
Across a small courtyard from the entrance to Hurwick Lodge is a detached 2 storey annex providing a further 5th bedroom on the first floor, and a shower room on the ground floor.
Larger parties will enjoy the games room on the ground floor of the annex with it's pool table that cleverly converts to a table tennis table.
After savouring your morning coffee whilst soaking in views of the rolling hills, head out to explore what your local area has to offer.
In Tavistock, you can stock up on supplies at a variety of independent shops, settle down for a quick pint at The Market Inn, take a peaceful stroll alongside the River Tavy, or even explore what exciting food and drink options are on offer at the Tavistock Pannier Market.
Further afield, the Denham Bridge and National Trust landmark of Cotehele can be found in the Tamar Valley AONB, whilst Wistman's Wood, Norsworthy Bridge and the Bellever Moor & Meadows can all be enjoyed during a trip to Dartmoor National Park.

What guests are saying
We were looking for a quiet, scenic break in Devon and Hurdwick lodge proved to be perfect.
The lodge was spotless and furnished to a high standard. Would definitely recommend.
We had a fabulous week at Hurdwick lodge.
It was the first time we did a big family holiday with 3 generations. Lovely open kitchen, dining room and lounge enabled us to socialise and enjoy family games. Downstairs bedrooms/bathrooms made it accessible for for the eldest of the family. Everyone found the beds comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans etc. Games room was a big hit with pool/table tennis/darts. Absolutely stunning views from the lounge window. Lovely little town down the road , with shops, markets and two supermarkets. Dartmoor National park not far and a stunning place. Lydford gorge was beautiful. Owners very friendly, loved seeing the sheep everyday. Honestly wish we didn't have to come home as the place is so quiet and relaxing.
our family of 10 had a lovely stay.
The lodge was comfortable and the views spectacular. It's location was ideal for touring the area and so close to the nearest town of Tavistock, which was very pretty and full of character.
