  • "We loved our stay at Cherry Tree house."

The house is immaculate and very comfortable. We were a group of ladies, just there for the weekend, so it was perfect for us. The owners are just next door and are extremely helpful. Lovely to have the pizza oven and BBQ too!

  • "The property was very spacious & the facilities provided were excellent."

One thing which we would like to share was perhaps an outdoor washing line may be useful. We found that the heating a little difficult to work so found times in the evening that we were a little cold but did make use of the fire.

Hello Matthew Thank you for your helpful feedback. We hope you and your family enjoyed your stay. We are sorry you felt a little chilly but glad you used the fire. It is a new heating system and the heating instructions are in the Welcome Pack but we will now pop a set beside the control panel for future users. We will definitely be getting the rotary line back out of the garage now the warmer weather is approaching, thank you for the reminder. We hope you found the airers in the utility room to use? Thank you again for staying with us and we hope you might consider booking with us another time in the future. Best Wishes, Craig and Kerry. For future visitors - We are always available to help with little questions and queries, as we are just next door, and leave our mobile numbers in the holiday property, so please don't hesitate to contact us with anything at all. • "Thank you so much for the stay, you made us all very welcome."

The house is very spacious with a separate dinning room and a huge living room. The house was very warm (in December) and well-equipped with everything we needed for our stay. For anyone staying with older relatives there is a downstairs toilet and the stairs are easy to negotiate with a landing half way up the flight of stairs. The location is very convenient to get to and is an excellent place to visit the North Somerset coast and the Mendips.

Providing easy access to the Somerset Levels and the seaside amenities of Burnham-on-Sea, Cherry Tree House is an ideal base for families and friends looking to escape normality, unwind and enjoy the peaceful countryside setting, with many local attractions and activities close by.

On arrival turn into the gravel drive, follow around to the rear of the property and park on the private brick paving area.

Enter the property via the rear door into the kitchen, where you can start to become familiar with your new ‘home from home’.

Step into the spacious drawing room and make yourself comfortable on the sofa, think about and plan your adventures in the week to come or catch up on your favourite TV shows or enjoy a tranquil moment with your favourite book.

Carry the conversation into the kitchen where your designated chef has the responsibility of whipping up something for the group, with a connecting breakfast/dining area seating for four guests; there is also a separate dining room for hosting dinners with the entire party.

French doors lead to an outside space where you can relax on the outdoor furniture whilst the children play on the secure grass and patio areas, plus there is a barbecue if you wish to enjoy some alfresco dining.

The bedrooms are situated upstairs and include the master with king-size bed, fitted wardrobes and an en-suite shower room.

There are also a further 4 bedrooms – a king-size, a twin room, a room with bunk beds and a single room.

Completing the interior is the family bathroom where you can laze away with a soak in the bath or hop in the walk-in shower for a quicker option.

On one side of the property there are views of acres of fields and countryside and there are many local walks with footpaths leading off across the fields from the doorstep.

In the neighbouring village of Watchfield there is a huge rambling old country pub ‘The Watchfield Inn’ where you can enjoy a pint after a long walk.

Across the road from the pub is Rich’s Cider Farm Shop and Restaurant where you can visit and sample all the different ciders, plus there are many other excellent local pubs and restaurants in neighbouring villages.

The market town of Highbridge offers a choice of shops ranging from supermarkets to retailers, or head to Burnham-on-Sea, a classic seaside resort, with its unspoilt sandy beach and vibrant pier.

Just down the coast is the National Trust location Brean Down; a 97-metre-high down with views out over the Bristol Channel towards South Wales and over the Somerset Levels.

Further attractions to consider include the Apex Leisure and Wildlife Park, Cheddar Gorge and the Wookey Hole Caves, and the Mendip Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, a must for those keen walkers.
