Description

Ash Cottage is an adorable detached barn conversion in the quiet village of Longdown, just four miles from the bustling city of Exeter and on the edge of the Dartmoor National Park. Here you're within easy reach of numerous sandy beaches and many tourist attractions; this bright, welcoming and comfortable cottage is well placed for exploring the area.

On the ground floor the open plan living/kitchen/diner has a lofty full height ceiling, smart wooden floors and an attractive living flame fire. Above, reached via a handsome wooden staircase, sits the first floor mezzanine where you'll find twin beds tucked neatly under the eaves. The stylish master bedroom and family bathroom are situated downstairs.

Outside you can take in the sunset from your own private patio garden, and maybe spot some of the local wildlife, including deer and birds of prey, which can often be seen in the adjacent fields. On a clear day, the rural views towards Exeter and beyond are spectacular.

Ash Cottage was perfect from the moment we entered.

Cosy, exceptionally clean and with a well equipped kitchen. Sharon was very welcoming and immediately offered any help we might need as the purpose of our visit was to cut down on travelling time from home to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital, while I underwent radiotherapy. We couldn't have chosen better. Journey time was never more than 25 minutes, even at 10am and 4pm and we returned to a quiet, peaceful haven. To anyone in my situation I can't recommend Ash Cottage high enough. Or, if taking a holiday in this part of the county, then Ash Cottage is the ideally location. Thank you for making our stay relaxed and hassle free.
