Bluebell Cottage

Just a short two night stay but we were made very welcome and were extremely comfortable.

Loads of little touches made all the difference but everywhere was spotless and we had everything we could possibly need. We felt 'at home' as we stepped through the front door. Highly recommended and we would love to return. Many thanks to the owners.

We loved our stay in Blubell cottage.

It was like a home from home. Comfy beds, lots of kitchen equipment and a beautiful garden with swimming pool and gazebo. Our 8 year old fell in love with Nutmeg the dog who was no bother and so very gentle. We will definitely be returning next year. Our week long stay didn't feel long enough

Yes a very nice week, very quiet at night owners were very nice and helpful our cottage Is the last to be updated but I'm sure when done will be very nice.

We had everything we needed for our break and a lovely welcome pack not only for the humans but one for the dogs too.

The cottage had a thoughtful welcome basket for us, which was much appreciated, and everything was very clean. The towels were also lovely and thick!

A lovely cottage in a good location for exploring Torbay and surrounding areas.

Cottage was clean, comfortable and well equipped. Nice garden and the kids loved using the pool every day. The owners were great and we would happily recommend a stay here.

So pretty and clean and comfortable. The pool area is fantastic too.

The only drawback was that my wife, who is partly disabled had difficulty with the stairs and the toilet (too low).

In general we had a comfortable stay. The hosts went to a lot of trouble to provide facilities for their guests.

The cottage was perfect, clean, well maintained, comfortable and well equipped, we loved the character in the cottage and the location.

Blue Cottage was the cleanest cottage I have ever stayed in, the "welcome pack" was most generous.

It was only a five minute walk to an amazing pub/restaurant in a pleasant village.

We loved everything about Bluebell Cottage the minute we walked in.

It is very well equipped for a self catering venue, plenty of kitchen utensils, different sizes of pots and pans, more than three kinds of glasses, a fridge with a small freezer compartment, washing up kit, the list goes on. A nice welcome package including bread, butter and milk + coffees and teas. The cottage is very cosy and clean with a lovely garden with chairs and tables and a pool and sun loungers. The beds are very comfy, the shower powerful enough for long haired ladies and the open living room/kitchen good for socialising while cooking. The location is perfect, very quiet, the two local pubs within walking distance up the hill (much better to walk downhill after a drink lol), a play park nearby that my 8 and 11 year old loved and that provided lovely views. The Olde Smokey House seems to be renown in the area for their carvery. There are also leaflets and recommendations for local takeaways in the cottage but we didn't get round to trying them although that was the plan at the start of the holiday :) We made trips to Paignton and Brixham and other nearby areas and took the local country bus to Torbay which was a short ride but check the time for the last bus back just in case. I had two children (8 and 11 year olds) with me, they loved the cottage and the pool and now we just need to decide when we'll go back. We had a lovely holiday, thank you! :)

Lovely cottage everything you need available.

Clean well equipped good location. Host was great, welcome basket and flowers a lovely touch. Unfortunately weather didn't allow us to use outside facilities but all looked excellent. If we had a request it would be for a king size bed, but space might not allow in the cottages...

We absolutely enjoyed our short break at Bluebell, what a beautiful, cosy cottage.

Everything you could want was provided, including luxurious white bath towels and sheets from M&S. We were warmly greeted by Lisa and Rob, the owners, and inside the cottage, was a welcome pack that went above and beyond what we have previously had - teas, coffee, hot chocolate, sugar, small pots of jam and marmalade,biscuits and a delicious loaf of bread. In the fridge we found bottled water, butter and milk. The gardens are a delight and the pool an added bonus, especially if you have young children. A great location for touring south Devon. We will not hesitate to recommend Millman's Cottages and hope to return ourselves to enjoy a stay in one of the other amazing cottages.

Couldn’t have asked for more. We would definitely look to stay here again if we revisit this area.

A lovely property well maintained and clean with additional welcome pack which was delightful.

On a personal level I would list that the stairs are a little tricky for anyone with mobility issues, having recently suffered an injury to my foot I found them quite a challenge. However having made the booking pre accident it wasn't appropriate to make this an issue. Will definitely recommend to others.

We visited on 27th Aug for 1 week, we loved Bluebell cottage.

A good base to see lovely Devon. The Pool was just what our 2 grandchildren needed in the evening. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed. Thank you

Great set of cottages.

Quiet area within a short distance of main seaside towns. Cottage clean and comfortable with everything we needed. Gardens were a lovely place to relax and the pool was an obvious bonus. Lovely owners. Welcome pack was much appreciated. If we venture to Devon again we would definitely return there.

As only March pool not ready for use but assume this will be given a little tlc before the season begins as area looking tired .We had a lovely visit and will be looking forward to returning in June.

Cottage was better than advertised.

Everything had been considered, making the cottage a home from home. The welcome pack was very generous including bread, milk, butter, tea, coffee, sugar and more. Warm welcome on arrival then left to enjoy our holiday although we knew how to get hold of someone should the need arise as the owners live on-site. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return again, if available when we need it.

Can’t praise the owners enough.

Had an incredible trip with some work colleagues. The accommodation is amazing clean tidy well stocked, the nice card, milk, tea and biscuits from the host was a lovely touch. We had some car trouble on the day of leaving and they couldn’t do any more to help us wether that was giving us more time to pack or wether it was helping us find tools. The hosts are a lovely family who are all working full time whilst being amazing hosts too. Guys I wish you all the success you were amazing and we will be back again. Thanks

Bluebell cottage was well appointed, warm and comfortable.

The welcome pack and lovely fresh flowers were much appreciated. We enjoyed our stay even if the stormy weather was not what we wanted. Which resulted in us spending more time in the cottage than perhaps we would have done if conditions were better. Paul and Biddy
