"The lodge was lovely and spacious and very comfortable."
Wonderful views.
However they are classed as luxury lodges I felt the entrance was very untidy and unkept. And I found frying pan with rancid cooking fat in it in cupboard and cutlery with food on in drawers perhaps more attention to detail is required.
We note your feedback and are somewhat disappointed that you did not raise your issues with us throughout the duration of your stay.
As you will note from the 5* feedback we have received numerous times (for all three of our lodges); Gary is an extremely accommodating host. I understand that not only did he meet you upon arrival and departure, he even gave you a tour of the 40 acre site in his 4x4, and welcomed you to see his private collection of off road vehicles at his home. Throughout the time spent with Gary, you at no point made him aware of the dissatisfaction you were facing, or afforded him the chance to apologies for/or rectify your issues. Instead you have opted to return his kindness through a somewhat hurtful review, which impacts the rating of his properties and business. Binneford Holiday Lodges is a family run business and such scathing feedback can be damaging and upsetting, especially when there was plentiful opportunity to feedback in person to an extremely approachable host.
Whilst we can only apologies for the dirty pan that you found during your stay (which we would have apologised for in person and rectified immediately), the entrance is a hedgerow. We agree this is not immaculately tidy, however we have no intentions for it to be. The lodges are situated in the country where we wish for wildlife to strive, as such we will not be cutting our hedges religiously and disturbing the wildlife that live within them. We will agree to disagree regarding the definition of luxury.

"The Lodge was really clean, beds were comfy."
We had a small issue which i messaged Gary and he came within 10 minutes to sort for us. Was lovely to meet Gary and show us his tank. Lovely and quiet in the evenings. Can definitely recommend.

"The lodge was just perfect and very clean."
The linen smelt amazing! It’s located in a beautiful area with lots of space for the kids to play in and explore. We sat outside, taking in the peaceful surroundings and watched the sunset whilst soaking in the hot tub. So relaxing.
Everything we needed was provided and our hosts couldn’t be more hospitable. Great communication, clear instructions given and a few extras thrown in which show that they truly care about their guests.
There’s also a lot of lovely places to visit in this part of Devon and most are just a short drive away.
Many thanks to Gemma and Gary, we had an enjoyable stay. Kids didn’t want to leave and neither did we!

"Loved everything about this place!"
Especially loved the fact there are only 3 lodges, so it feels very private. Top quality cabin, fixtures and fittings. Spotlessly clean. Cannot fault it at all. Breathtaking views.

"Stayed at Primrose lodge last summer and absolutely loved it."
The location is so beautiful and tranquil we had an amazing time. The lodge was very spacious, big and most importantly clean. We also loved the BBQ and the hot tub was very nice and well maintained. The only downside was we had so many flies both inside and outside the property it was annoying so a few more fly traps/sprays could be included. However this doesn’t deter us from booking again

"We love staying here, it is so peaceful and relaxing, enjoying the hot tub and watching the Buzzards flying around."
Gary and his team should be proud of their Lodges. We would recommend the Tom Cobly for food and a fantastic range of local ciders

"Perfect location beautiful West Devon and ideal accommodation to match with amazing view ."
Very comfy beds and lovely hot tub . Lodge very well maintained and grounds great place for access to many great places and peaceful . We were in the dog free lodge which suited my slight allergies to dogs. Maybe somewhere to dry /wash clothes would be a bonus but only if you were staying for a longer break . Host was so helpful and can recommend Fingle Bridge for walking and eating and Tom Cobley in Spreyton if you like traditional pubs for good food . Would definitely return

"Had a fantastic stay at Primrose Lodge!"
The place was spotless, well-maintained, and surrounded by beautiful nature. Plenty of firewood was provided for the stove, which made it extra cozy. The owners were incredibly friendly and always happy to chat, making us feel very welcome. The jacuzzi was spotless and checked daily, which was a great touch. Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway!

"The lodge was exactly as stated, spotlessly clean and well appointed, gorgeous bedding and towels and the most comfortable mattresses."
Gary was a wonderful host when we arrived meeting us and showing us all we needed to know. The hot tub was fabulous and views to dream about..the only thing we'd liked but bought with us anyway was a Bar- B -qué and maybe some salt and pepper and kitchen towel. An outside cooking area with fire pit would top it off ,to enjoy the evening views and straying cows that visited!! Fabulous stay can totally recommend for peace and quiet.

"This place is a real find."
The lodge is situated in a very scenic and tranquil area, from almost every window you have fabulous views over the valley and countryside. It is both cosy and spacious. You will find the lodge fitted out to a very high standard with everything you need. The beds are exceptionally comfortable and bathrooms modern and very clean as is the everywhere in the property. It is evident much thought went into the design and provision. The linen is beautifully clean and cosy. The log burner for chilly nights with all logs provided. You can sit out on the patio or enjoy the hot tub, again enjoying the views and tranquility. There are walks locally for those who wish to get in to the countryside and the coast is within easy reach. The owners are very helpful and genuinely make sure you enjoy your stay. It ticked all the boxes for us, we have had a lovely week and feel rested and relaxed. There is a large supermarket and for those with electric cars there are fast charges in Crediton, a short drive from the lodge.
