"The cottage was gorgeous both outside & inside."
The bed was so comfortable & the bedding & towels top quality.
On arrival we did find the bolt from the inside of the stable door had snapped in half & was on the kitchen floor. We also had to sort out the overflowing recycling boxes & dustbin as it was all in the wrong places
I’m pleased the cottage did not fall short of your expectations and that you enjoyed your stay, but sorry to hear of the problems encountered on your arrival.
I have arranged for the bolt to be repaired and informed housekeeping of the problem with the bins, thank you for taking on the task yourselves.
Nonetheless, it was a poor welcome to the property for which I apologise most sincerely.
Thank you for your helpful feedback.

"A lovely olde worlde thatched cottage in a lovely location."
We enjoyed our stay here with a good community shop and a great pub only yards away.
Housekeeping needs to be improved as the toilet seat was broken and no tablets for the dishwasher.
Thank you for your feedback and for highlighting issues with the housekeeping, I am so sorry everything was not up to scratch and I have already set in motion steps to make repairs and replenish supplies.
I am, however, relived to hear that these issues did not mar your holiday too much and pleased to learn you were still able to enjoy the cottage, village amenities and location, I hope the weather held fair too! Thank you again for your feedback and best wishes.

"We had a very enjoyable week in a lovely old thatched cottage, The Cottage is ideal for a couple and has been recently renovated and equipped to modern standards with everything you would need."
The village is tucked away in a valley a mile or so inland and is crammed full of thatched cottages. Devon a century ago !
It has a thatched pub and a community shop , both within 70 metres of the cottage. The pub does good food and the shop caters for most needs , what more could you want.
Thank you for your review as it was lovely to hear how much you enjoyed, not only the cottage, but the village and countryside too.
I’m so pleased you found so much to your liking and hope you’ll return to Devon again soon.

"It was a lovely cottage to stay in for our week away."
It is close to everything you might want to do while you are here. The kitchen was well stocked compared to other cottages we stayed in which was very nice. We did find a lot of coffee grounds in the draw in the kitchen we tried to clean some of it up but didn’t get all of it, when we arrived. Another complaint was that there was hair all around the back of the toilet rim where the seat attachment is. Otherwise it was a lovely stay. Also thank you for the scones, jam and milk. We really enjoyed our stay.
Thank you for your review and feedback. I have taken note of your complaints to ensure they won’t occur again in the future.
Thank you for adding that you still enjoyed your stay and found the cottage to your liking. I was pleased, and relieved, to hear that your holiday was not marred too much and you, nonetheless, were able to enjoy all the area has to offer. Best wishes.

"Cannot fault this property."
Great for walking and exploring. Short drive to a town or a beach but just enough distance to be in the countryside with a village feel. The property was perfect and had everything you needed. Highly recommend this property.
How lovely to hear that my cottage is ‘perfect’! I’m so pleased you enjoyed your stay as much as you did and thank you for the great review.

"We had a lovely time at the cottage."
Plenty of kitchen equipment, with everything we needed, oven etc very easy to use. The bedroom and en-suite were just gorgeous! Luxury bedding, very comfortable and well needed after a day walking! The deep bath was so relaxing… The local pub, The Church House Inn was very welcoming and had excellent food (we recommend the “pie and pint” evening on a Thursday!)
All in all, great location, and a very clean and comfortable cottage, thank you.
It was lovely to read your review and to hear how much you enjoyed the cottage and village. To have a part to play in providing such an enjoyable holiday feels very special to me and I’m delighted you enjoyed your stay.
Thank you again for such a great review.

"Lovely cottage, everything was top quality, very comfortable bed with luxury bedding."
Everything you could wish for in a rural village which has a community shop and a pub which does great food.
Te only problem was trying to get the TV to work, managed to get live programmes eventually but not that simple.
We would definitely recommend a stay here.
Thank you so much for your recommendation and I’m pleased you enjoyed your stay at the cottage and your visit to the village.
Thank you too for your comments regarding the tv, I am in the process of trying to make access to live tv easier, but I’m pleased you managed gain access while you were there.
It was also good of you to mention the quality and comfort in the cottage as that was nice to hear - many thanks.

"Myrtle cottage is a lovely little thatched Grade 2 listed cottage built around 1650, perfect for 2 adults and a dog."
It has kept its old worldly charm but with modern touches. There is low beam downstairs (if you are under 5'10 there is no risk of banging your head!) and the low ceiling does make the downstairs feel dark, but this is all part of the old building and it's charm.
The cottage is very clean and well equipped with everything you might need, a very comfy bed and luxurious bathroom. The off street parking is a benefit as the cottage is directly on the road, however, this does mean you don't have a fenced off garden.
Located in a small village with a very nice pub, village shop and friendly neighbours, it has everything you need for a relaxing getaway in south Devon.
We booked this last minute (2 days before!) and there was no previous reviews but I'm glad we took the chance... highly recommended and would definitely stay again when in the area.
Thank you so much for your great review and I’m so pleased you enjoyed your stay especially after taking a chance on an unknown. Many thanks.

"This is a lovey cottage."
Recently and sympatheticly refurbished to a high standard. Stokeinteignhead is such a beauty village with an excellent and well patronised pub . A great place to eat with very friendly staff. The whole village is also very friendly.
The TV arrangements might prove challenging for non-tech visitors. The duvet would suit a winter letting best but proved to be very hot during our stay with no alternative.
We have rented places through Sykes in the past and it has always been a very straightforward affair. I would recommend this property,
Well worth the money we paid
Thank you so much for your review and feedback. I’m pleased to hear you not only enjoyed the cottage, but the village as well, and I shall certainly arrange for some lightweight bedding to be available for summer use as you suggest.
