  • "Fabulous location and a comfortable apartment."

    A more relevant apartment guide on arrival would be useful. It was so generic & didn’t mention anything specific to the apartment such as the need to, and how to switch the water on when arriving, where to put the bins etc.

    The apartment is very comfortable and well equipped and has fantastic views. It could do with more / better furniture for the balcony, and the apartment block is looking a bit tired and even grubby.

  • "We are disappointed that we received a voicemail and e-mail advising us that the washing machine could not be used and you would update us as to whether it would be repaired or replaced."

    WE HEARD NOTHING. The kitchen was well equipped . The property was very comfortable and spacious and had a superb view overlooking beach We felt that the towel rails in both bathrooms had not been cleaned satisfactorily for some time. We have taken photographs if you wish to see. The balcony would benefit from a good clean especially the glass surround. We expected a table and chairs for eating similar to most of the other properties. The photograph of layout of second bedroom is misleading as beds are positioned well away from each other rather than together. The wi-fi was very poor so unsuitable for remote working, We had difficulty finding code, which we believe should have been included in information book

  • "The location at Thurstone rock is stunning & this is our 5th visit."

    There’s not much there except the outstanding beach, coastal walks & the beach house cafe. The apartment was lovely & very clean with great views. My husband & I had the twin bedroom which was simply furnished, the beds were not as in the photo but on opposite sides of the room, which didn’t suit us & we would have much preferred the layout to be as in the photo with the twin beds next to each other. Nonetheless we had a great time, with good friends & despite the rain!

  • "The location of 12 Thurlestone Rock is fantastic, with brilliant views across the bay from the lounge and balcony and different but also lovely views across the nature reserve from the main bedroom."

    It is also extremely comfortable and well equipped - with a really good kitchen and great showers! Minor quibbles would be the sloping ceilings - I bumped my head a couple of times but soon got used to it - and the typically difficult Devon roads to get there, which makes it a bit of a trek to a shop. A note to the owner would be that it might be helpful to display the WiFi info more prominently - we had a panicky evening when we couldn't find the card! However we had a great week and have booked for the same time next year (let's hope the weather is as good), so must have enjoyed it!

    We cleaned the glass ourselves and tried to clean floor, not very successfully. It was noticeable that where owners were in residence the balconies were well maintained in terms of cleanliness.
