Waterland Farmhouse

We had a lovely stay with family over a weekend.

Fantastic space downstairs, large kitchen and dinning rooms and comfy sitting room. Master bedroom was lovely and large with walk in wardrobe and an en suite shower room. The whole house was beautifully clean. We recieved a lovely full welcome basket. Vast amounts of interesting outdoor garden spaces. Our kids are older but younger children would love the swings and play areas. 30 hour to Widemouth which is a fantastic beach. Sandymouth is closer. Village shop and pub 3mins from the drive. We had a lovely time and would stay again.

Really enjoyed our stay.

The house had everything we needed and grounds are idyllic. The house was only 30 minutes from the beach and the Tamar Lakes are only 5 minutes away. We would return in a heart beat

It is lovely and we all had a great time here. The owner was very friendly. The garden is amazing and loved by our dogs and kids. There is a pond with fish and our son enjoyed feeding them. Would def recommend

Wonderful property, so well equipped, large and so comfortable.

Giles kept us in logs for the fires, kitchen was excellent to cook in. The grounds were excellent for our dogs

We stayed at Waterland Farm as a family of 9 (plus 1 dog) for a long weekend break and it was brilliant.

The house is very spacious with lots of facilities, including a toy room for the kids, a PS /x-box and old-school vinyl record player. The outdoor area is massive and the kids loved the football goal and playground. As it states the field isn’t secure for a dog as there are open areas but she still enjoyed a run around. Overall a great place to stay and we would return!

Wonderful long weekend away with our family.

The farmhouse is actually much nicer than the photos on the website! Spacious and very well furnished throughout, comfortable and very cosy with the log burner in the sitting room. Well equipped and everything we needed seemed to be there. Easy walk to the village pub which is very nice and does a great Sunday lunch. Owners were quick to answer any questions and very helpful and accommodating. We’d definitely recommend this property to others.

Incredible house!

Very roomy and everything was finished to a high spec. The dogs loved the huge garden and the games room, consoles etc have the kids loads to do when the weather wasn’t so good.

We had an amazing week at waterland Farmhouse, the house was beautiful and the garden was massive.

We enjoyed hours of fun with our dogs playing in the garden and we loved feeding the koi fish in the pond. All facilities were good and the sofas and beds were very comfortable. Giles was very nice and welcoming. The only faults we can say are that the garden isn't fully enclosed, as there is no gate and there are areas of the decking and steps which are unsafe. Overall this property one of our favourites and will definitely hope to return in the future.

The home was lovely to stay at however, the TV in the main bedroom didn’t work, the garden isn’t fully enclosed which it said in the listing it was enclosed but a low wall, the house was clean but not spotless the other amenities were great, koi pond was great, however when they says dogs allowed it’s more like tolerated- no dogs allowed upstairs and not on furniture meaning it was more stressful trying to keep them off furniture.

But other than that a great place to stay.

Lovely holiday home which catered brilliantly for our needs.

The large grounds are perfect for dogs and children, we took 4 dogs and they loved all the outdoor space. The house is nice and roomy and fully accommodated 6 adults, 1 toddler and 4 dogs (3 of which are large). Had everything needed for a lovely week away, would highly recommend and would definitely book again. The only one little downside is the garden isn’t completely secure as the entrance steps does not have a gate, but this wasn’t an issue for us (even with a beagle x who likes to explore) but if you have adventurous dogs or young children then you would need to supervise when outside. This is made clear and wasn’t a problem for us.

We are a family of 4 adults, 2 kids and 4 dogs and had a wonderful stay at Waterland Farm.

The house and gardens are plenty big enough and we found that the house had everything you need. The gardens are huge, so much space for the dogs to run around and the kids enjoyed playing on the football field. Great location, not too far from surrounding beaches and local pub 5 mins away. Met Giles the owner who was most welcoming too. We will definitely stay again.

Cottage provides every comfort.

Definitely need a car for visits to beach and moors etc. you can walk to the village 10-15 mins. For local shops, post office good butcher and popular pub. (does good food and nice atmosphere ). Lovely gardens. We were a bit unlucky with the weather,or we would have spent more time outside. Did a B B Q.

This is the third year in a row that we have stayed at the Farmhouse, we just love it so much!

The house is huge and the gardens are even bigger. The rooms are all really comfortable and have lots of space to make it feel like home. We came with 3 children this year and the space outside is incredible. They particularly liked the new climbing frame and swing. Giles and Vicky are very accommodating and are a text message away if you need anything. Thanks again for an amazing stay. We will be back next year!

A wonderful farmhouse that accommodated 3 families easily and we had a wonderful time, despite the weather not always being great .

The house has a great lay out, with several places to escape to if you needed to get away from the noise of busy family life; a large garden equipped with climbing frames; a place to kick a football and an area for the girls to create dens. The kitchen was large with plenty of cupboard space, as well as enough crockery and cutlery to suit. Some electrical kitchen appliances were absent, but may be that was a deliberate decision by the owner? A slow cooker, blender and food processor would have be useful as we had 2 chefs with us, but this is not a negative comment, just a suggestion. The local convenience store in Bradworthy was well stocked, but there are supermarkets on the outskirts of Bude if you needed to do a bigger shop, only 20' away. So a great quiet, rural escape but close enough to beaches, a reservoir and amenities not to feel isolated. You are in the middle of farmland and so the roads are narrow with busy farm traffic, so leave enough time when going out. I would highly recommend the property and Giles, the owner was very friendly, accommodating a great host

Great location, with fantastic views, and wildlife.

The Farmhouse is great for an extended family; it is very spacious and has everything you could need. We have also stayed in the Old Barn, which is also excellent!

Waterland Farmhouse was absolutely fantastic - plenty of room for 7 adults and 2 dogs to spread out and such a wonderful peaceful spot!

Loved the gardens and outside spaces to explore / relax in. Everything we could ask for - would definitely return! Great communication from Giles the owner also, who kindly informed us it was ready to check into early which was welcome after a long drive!

Absolutely fabulous place to stay.

Outside area was brilliant for the dogs. Visited the Bradworthy Arms which was a nice walk away. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. We all had a great time. Plenty of space if there are a few of you. We would definely come and stay again.

We had a great stay, which was slightly marred by the boiler not working for 24 hours.

The owner was great once we got hold of him, and was very keen to get the problem resolved (thanks!). We loved the space and thought it would even better in the summer. Plenty of room for multiple families and well stocked kitchen. Older guests did find the settees uncomfortable even though they look fantastic.

We had a lovely relaxing holiday here at this very large and secluded property.

Everything we needed was available and the home owner Giles was very polite and helpful and at hand for any questions or if anything went wrong. On our second week there had to be a booked oil change for heating and a small problem occurred afterwards but Giles sorted it promptly and we were very happy. Thank you very much Giles for sharing your property with us and will definitely recommend to our friends and family and stay again in the future,

Lovely house and gardens, perfect for our family holiday of 3 generations plus several doggies.

The top field was perfect for the dogs to safely play, the bottom garden is not fully enclosed so could not easily leave dogs or children unattended. The swings, Climbing frame and football net was a winner with the children. Following a long journey we arrived at the property half an hour early but were unable to get in as the cleaners were still there so had to hang around which was a little annoying. We encountered a couple of issues during our stay including the gas bottles running empty. Giles was always contactable and pleasant and sorted out any issues quickly.

A very nice and comfortable stay was had by everyone.

A lovely house in a lovely location. The gardens are beautiful and I particularly liked the winding pathway round the bamboo. Could happily have stayed forever. Thank you for the welcome basket, it was a lovely touch. We would love to come back again one day.

Fantastic stay at this property, it was the perfect to get away for a quiet weekend of celebration with family.

The biggest selling point, for me, is the garden, which is a really good size. The patio/decking area is great, more than big enough for us (party of 8 plus a 3yo) to spend the afternoon/evening having a BBQ. There is a fantastic bamboo area and it's the kind of garden you can have a stroll around and visit all the nooks and crannies. Interior is well furnished and the beds are comfortable, we all slept well. There is ample dining space and plenty of separate rooms, so that if you are a large group you can be doing different things and not always on top of each other. There is not a lot of surrounding infrastructure (that is to be expected, based on the type of property) but there is a newsagent and pub at the top of the hill which takes around 10-15 mins to stroll up or would take 1-3 minutes by car. There is plenty of parking both at the property and in the nearby village square. All in all, a fantastic place for a short break.

The house is BEAUTIFUL.

The room amenities were nicely done, spacious and rooms were comfortable. The sleep quality was excellent, maybe might want to change the master bedroom mattress but other than that overall felt like like l was sleeping at home. Giles was a phone call away if we needed help and he went above and beyond to help us with our stay. I think you should update the pictures cause you are under advertising the house. We highly recommend Waterland Farmhouse ,very clean and comfortable and would gladly come back

Beautiful property in a stunning environment!

Spacious home which enabled 3 generations to spend valuable time together…but with lovely indoor and outdoor areas to get some quiet time! All the facilities at the property were as described apart from the farmhouse does not have access to the pool room (

This is an amazing place to spend a holiday.

We were a big family of three generations and three large dogs and it had everything we needed as a base to explore both Devon and Cornwall. There was a welcome basket of goodies and a lovely little bouquet of flowers. Our grandson loved exploring the grounds, playing football, playing on the swing and watching the fish in the pond. The dogs were able to run around the extensive grounds and had a great time.

Beautiful property and amazing grounds.

The house had absolutely everything we needed. Lovely welcome pack when we arrived. Everything you could want in the kitchen to prepare, cook and serve family meals. The dining table fitted us all around it perfectly. Beds were very comfortable, bathrooms really clean, the walk-in wardrobe in the master bedroom was a real treat. Downstairs was very spacious, with a brilliant and cosy log burner in the lounge. The conservatory was glorious in the sunshine. The Xbox in the lounge and the outdoor games room were a wonderful bonus. We loved the patio area, the fish pond, the swings and the football net on the top field was an absolute winner with our son. The washer and dryer were also super handy when needed. The owner was very friendly and helpful when we had any queries. We would thoroughly recommend this property to our family and friends.
