What guests are saying

We had a mixed experience staying at this property.

There were several things we enjoyed, but unfortunately there were also some issues that affected our overall stay. The positives: The location was good, within easy driving distance of Weymouth and well placed for visiting other nearby towns. It was also easy to access the main roads without having to contend with traffic, with shops a short drive away and two pubs within walking distance. The property is in a quiet location. The living room was comfortable, with a good selection of board games and DVDs. The kitchen was reasonably well equipped, including an air fryer, dishwasher and a selection of cookware. The bed was comfortable, the bedrooms were warm and the adjustable heating was useful. Although there is no allocated parking, we generally found it easy to park on the road, although not always directly outside the property. The host was very helpful and efficient in dealing with any problems we raised, which we appreciated. The negatives: Unfortunately, when we arrived, the property had not been cleaned by the external cleaning company. The owner was very helpful in arranging for a cleaner to come out the following day, although we did have to make the beds ourselves. However, beyond the initial cleaning issue, we felt the property would benefit from a thorough deep clean. There were numerous cobwebs, crumbs and dirt in kitchen cupboards and bedroom drawers, as well as a noticeable smell of damp and mould. There was also visible mould on the wall behind the wardrobe in the main bedroom. The pillows were stained and appeared to need replacing, and we were disappointed that there were no pillow protectors. We also felt the listing was misleading in its description of a summer house, as what is provided is actually a locked shed. The conservatory was another disappointment, as it was not really usable as a living space due to a strong smell, mould and a collection of bugs that are causing the wood to disintegrate.
