Description
3 Grange Villas is a delightfully spacious and welcoming four-bedroom detached house, situated in the heart of the popular UNESCO Jurassic Coast in the coastal village of Charmouth, Dorset. Close to popular beaches and village amenities, this abode is a great choice for families or friends looking to enjoy a seaside break at any time of the year.
Modern and stylishly presented throughout, the open-plan living area is a wonderfully sociable space ideal for family gatherings or special occasions with friends. The kitchen is equipped perfectly for creating meals whether it’s a breakfast to set everyone up for the day ahead or bringing the group together for an evening meal savoured around the dining table. When it comes to relaxing, the sitting area offers sumptuous seating with a Smart TV, creating the ideal spot to catch up on a movie together. The separate snug provides a great alternative for the children to play or when you want to sit quietly with a book.
Step out of the large patio doors at the rear of the house to the enclosed garden with lawn and sunken trampoline. With patio seating areas and furniture, you can sit and enjoy your morning coffee while the children play nearby.
When it’s time for bed, head upstairs where you will find four tastefully-presented bedrooms. Arranged over three floors, the spacious king-size bedroom is located on the second floor with an en-suite shower room and views over Charmouth towards the cliffs. The three further bedrooms, a king-size bedroom, a twin bedroom and a children’s bunk bedroom, are on the first floor together with the stylish family bathroom with a freestanding bath and separate walk-in shower.
The village of Charmouth has lots to offer visitors with the beaches popular with beachgoers and for water sports such as paddleboarding and kayaking. The beaches along this coastline are renowned for their abundance of fossils. The Heritage Coast Centre, located on the seafront, is an excellent spot to dive into the area’s rich geological history. Here, you can marvel at Attenborough’s Sea Dragon, join guided fossil walks, and try your luck at discovering your own ammonites along the shore. The nearby cliff top paths and South West Coastal footpath provide great walking for those wishing to explore the stunning Dorset coast on foot and take in Golden Cap, the highest point on the South Coast, and views towards Portland on a clear day.
The local shops and eateries are within easy walking distance and include a convenience store for your everyday essentials and Charmouth Bakery renowned locally for its fresh bread and pastries. For times when you chose not to cook, the two popular pubs serve local food and beverages, and the fish bar and pizzeria are all great options in the village.
When it comes to days out, you will be spoilt for choice with Lyme Regis and its iconic Cobb harbour, family-friendly beach and attractions such as the aquarium, only a short journey away. The Donkey Sanctuary at Sidmouth is home to hundreds of donkeys and is open throughout the year, perfect for animal enthusiasts or a day out with the little ones.
3 Grange Villas promises to be a wonderful retreat for a memorable seaside break the whole family will love.

The accommodation was as described, great facilities everything you could need, great location for the beach , park for my youngest Granddaughter and a few shops for essentials and souvenirs.
Just 2 bug bears, kitchen and cloak room could do with a hand towel and the upper shower needs a shelf for your toiletries, I had no where to put my shower gel or shampoo .A fan in that top room would also be a bonus.
Nice house, lovely location wirh good local facilites.
Had a few problems..patio door dropped and wouldnt shut, smoke alarms not fitted. Cleaning was poor, my wife and daughter had to wash downstairs flooring and bannisters. BUT lyme bay holidays were on it so any issues contact them.
The house is very modern and spacious and good for families though we were just a couple.
It would have been nice to have a discount for just 2 people staying as it’s quite expensive. We have stayed here once before and enjoyed the great parking area and the location being so close to local shops pubs and beach. However the house was not as clean as we would have expected we found lots of dead wasps on arrival in the house and an ants nest on windowsill in one of bedrooms. There were also marks on some of the walls and holes in some ceilings. The towel ring in the cloakroom was not secure and one of the freezer drawers was badly cracked. We thought the patio door could really do with a curtain as it is not very private and very hot when sun shines. The bottom step in the garden was also not secure. A great holiday house if it had a just a bit more tlc.
