The house was comfortable and there was everything we needed.

The bonus was it was only a few minutes walk to the local shops one way and a few minutes walk to the river the other. We spent longer in Christchurch looking around than we thought we would. One evening there was a free concert by the river which we enjoyed. We would visit again as it was a great week.

Lovely house, really good position for both the town and the river, able to walk to both of them in a few minutes.

Unfortunately the holiday was spoilt by the extreme heatwave which made it uncomfortable to explore the area very much, and the house was very hot.

We had an excellent week at 27 Wick Lane.

The property was very well fitted out and in a very convenient location for walks by the river, into Christchurch and the Priory, at Hengitsbury Head and other places. We enjoyed sunsets over the river although a lot of our week was wet! It was our first time here but I doubt it will be our last!

Stayed for 6 nights over the New Year period, found the house to be very comfortable and clean.

Very well equipped with everything you could possibly need and all of a good quality and standard. Very central for walking to town and plenty of eating and pubs in the vicinity.

We loved our time at this comfortable and well kept house, which felt like a home from home.

The hosts couldn’t have done more to help us, making sure we had everything we could possibly need for our Christmas stay (even providing a decorated tree with gifts underneath). The house is just a few minutes walk from the historic centre of Christchurch, with good restaurants and pubs to choose from. We would heartily recommend.

Home from home, could not fault the bungalow, was better than we expected, everything we needed was there, location was ideal for local transport, we didnt hire a car, so used buses and trains.

Walked by the river, local restaurants and pubs, hopefully we will be back next year.

As 2 ladies well into their eighties and with disabilities it was so good to have plenty of hand rails and fixtures all around the house. Slopes outside for easy access. Although so close to the town (2 minute walk ) it was very quiet. The accommodation was great the bedrooms very comfortable, and being on the ground floor for 2 ladies and me upstairs. Would definitely recommend and book again.

In spite of bad weather had a great time.

Lovely house, perfect for us (2 elderly parents, one with limited mobility and 2 adult daughters).

We appreciated the thoughtful touches of extra crockery, cutlery, all manner of pots and pans and modern appliances. A great location for convenience to the town, but quiet too. Would highly recommend to families too- 3 good sized bedrooms, plenty of room and storage. Nice sunny garden with outside seating.

make sure clients know how to use indoor food waste, using the green bags provided.

Everything you could possibly want from a holiday home and more, from cleanliness to every comfort you would want. Convenient for Christchurch High Street, and lovely walks to the Quay. Will definitely be returning in 2026

Property was lovely, everything had been catered for.

Nice touch of bottle of wine, coffee and biscs waiting for us. The location was perfect. Town, park, Priory all in walking distance. Will definitely book again! Couple very minor small things; Parking was a little tight, as had large vehicle. Think might struggle with 3 cars unless they were on small size. The heating/water system had an annoying drone, noticeable during night, which was heard mostly in upstairs bedroom area.

We had a lovely relaxing week, 5 min walk to Christchurch town, not to far to Mudeford Quay and Highcliffe Castle, lovely bungalow everything you need home from home .

This is a beautiful house, so well equipped and well stocked.

Clean, comfortable and it feels like home. So much thought put into furnishing this place. Little touches like a little torch in every bedside cabinet, a hair dryer in every room! There was enough cutlery and crockery for 8 and more. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine, Biscuits and coffee pods, what a treat. The weekend we stayed we experienced Storm Bert, the wind and rain was awful. Fortunately, this beautiful place made us feel cosy. I would come back here again.

We had a perfect stay at this house and hope to return.

Every need was catered for and the house was very well equipped and very confortable.

Well thought-out and beautifully maintained property in a lovely location with a short walk to the riverside, park and town centre.

Such helpful hosts, even lending a pump for our flat tyre! We'll be back.

We had a lovely relaxing time at wick lane and it’s made us want to come back and explore the area more.

Convenient for Christchurch High Street and Harbour within walking distance. Couldn't be better.

We really enjoyed our stay.

The property was spotless, very comfortable and really well equipped. There were plenty of games to keep both adults and children entertained. The garden was lovely and the children were fascinated by the bees. It is one of the best we've stayed in and would certainly recommend.

We have stayed at many Sykes properties but this has to be the best.

The owners have excelled at providing everything you could possibly require. The property is spacious, airy and light....just fabulous.

Wick Lane is in a great location for Christchurch high Street and many fabulous walks and restaurants nearby.

We enjoyed it so much we are already booked for next year.

Fantastic location and the property was amazing on many accounts, a couple of things could be improved and we left feedback with the owner.

Our holiday at 27 Wick Lane was very much enjoyed by the 3 of us.

The location is very convenient for shopping and spending time at Christchurch Quay. We had some lovely walks from the door and after a day out, the garden was great for sitting relaxing or having a game of boules. There were plenty of places to eat and also places to visit. The owner had provided everything we needed. We would recommend this holiday home.

Once again we had a great holiday weather was beautiful,we love Wick lane it is so convenient for everything such a great location ,We look forward to coming again next year god willing,so thank you very much for your lovely home.

Had a lovely stay, the location of the property was fantastic and the garden was lovely, it was warm enough to sit out.

Unfortunately the sofas were very uncomfortable and very low and we were unable to use them.

Wonderful property in a prime location.

Minutes walk to Christchurch High Street. A Very enjoyable week and most definitely we will return. Sykes need to update the directions provided as they are incorrect. The sofas in the living area are a bit soft and slightly uncomfortable, although OK if you want to lay down. The garden is beautiful and very restful and relaxing.

Wonderful property in a great location and we had a great holiday.

The property is ideal for people with limited mobility. Our only issue were the sofas in the living room were very low and there was only one other easy chair to sit on comfortably. However, we would recommend this property and would potentially stay there again.

Have just returned from a week staying at this lovely property !

6 of us stayed here. My husband and I, our son and daughter-in-law and our 2 grandsons, aged 6 and 4. There was plenty of room for us all. Very comfortable. The kitchen lacked for nothing ! Anything we needed was there. The location couldn't have been better. A couple of minutes walk to the High Street with plenty of bars and restaurants, and a couple of minutes walk to the splash pad and park area by the river. Will definitely be back !! Highly recommended.

This was a beautiful property situated in the heart of Christchurch.

It provided the ideal location for taking an elderly relative on holiday, with good provision for the disabled. It was an easy walk to the town centre, the quay and the Priory. The property had everything we needed and was in excellent order.

A beautiful house in an outstanding area, close to all amenities.

Usually we are driving around the area a lot but this year was so nice to have a private garden for the children to play in , walk to the bars and shops.The best UK holiday for us by far, would thoroughly recommend.We were lucky to meet the owner when he asked to come and tend to his bees, and my Son In Law was very happy to see the beekeepers at work,gaining an insight into what is involved and even finding the Queen Bee!

This property was very suited to older guests as it is so close to many amenities.

Shops, restaurants and the marina area were all within walking distance. It was especially good being close to the town as we had a winter break.

We had a lovely family break.

I cant fault it the house is great and very near both the High Street and the river. The owner was extremely helpful. We will be back for a proper holiday in this excellent house in a beautiful town.

This is a great holiday home in good location near the Town and Quay.

30 minutes to Lymington for the Isle of Wight and the same for Beaulieu. 10 minutes to the long sand beach at Boscombe and the same to Mudeford Quay. Shops, pubs and eating all close by.

Had a fantastic time, the house and garden facilities were great.

Lots to do within a few minutes walk from the property, and many great places to eat. Many more places to visit within a short drive. No issues with the traffic noise or the bees.

Very well-equipped house, good, comfortable facilities with a high standard of cleanliness in an excellent location just off the main high street and close to the riverfront.

Parking only really allows for two standard-sized cars. Ground floor king size bedroom and en-suite a bit small and dark but adequate, other two bedrooms all good. Christchurch is a good place to stay with excellent facilities and easy access for visiting the surrounding area, would definitely return.

This cottage is ideally located for the quay and the town centre.

The cottage was well equipped with everything you could possibly need. I would ask that you update the directions to the cottage, we have been to Christchurch before so I was aware there is a one way system in place and following the directions given for the cottage means you are directed to Wick Lane car park (I guess based on the postcode), it's better to drive down Sopers lane and turn left into St. Margarets and then left again to Wick Lane, where the cottage is just on the left.

The house was very well equiped even by Sykes standards.

It was a short walk into town where there are plenty of shops restaurants and bars. There are also lots of nice walks nearby around and near the harbour.

The accomodation was excellent, the owners would not have done more.

Everything was immaculate and comfy. Would highly recommend.

Cottage well presented and clean.

However a couple of things were very annoying. Firstly we arrived after dark, could not find key code box. Was fixed to a beam in the porch over 6 feet in the air to be reached by a broken plastic stool. Had to use torch on phone and stood on a case to open after a long time trying to find it. Secondly the only television stations available was on a Firestick, no normal channels available and no proper instructions on how to use it.

We had a lovely holiday at 27 Wick Lane.

The house was spacious, modern and clean. It is situated in a very good location: there is plenty to do for all the family within walking distance. After we contacted the owners about a problem with the dishwasher, they came to check on it the same day. Communication was very good. Thank you.

27 Wick Lane is a lovely bungalow in a fantastic location.

Christchurch is a great marina town with lots of independent shops, cafes and bars all within a very short walking distance. The property itself was clean and comfortable, and is perfect for a group including someone with limited mobility. The kids loved crabbing and appreciated the kit left at the property to use. The beaches nearby were also fab, as was the splash park which was about 5 mins walk from the house. All in all a lovely couple of days :)
