What guests are saying
The location is spot on.
Short walk to main shops and right by the marine/harbour area. The biggest issue is parking costs as it really bumps up cost of the break. The property is ideal. Good size and good facilities. Upstairs is a great space for relaxing. The shower is amazing !! The kitchen area is great and well stocked with equipment for a short break. The only downsides were; sheets don’t fit the beds, and the mattresses are not massively comfortable. Towels too small, quite cobwebby in places and it’s just looking a little tired with a frayed carpet by the bathroom and damp smell in the bathroom. However, we’re not there long enough to let it worry is and we would definitely return.
We had a great stay at The Lookout.
The location was excellent, a stones throw from the harbour and beach and lots of restaurants and cafes in easy reach and a great fishmonger just across the road where we bought lovely fish for supper one evening. The kitchen was modern and well equipped and the lounge thoughtfully decorated and cosy. Bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and functional. We loved hanging out in the upstairs lounge with the large windows overlooking the bay. it was a warm week so appreciated the large fan although we could not find the remote for it so although we could switch it on we could not adjust it. One of the sofas was stained and could do with the covers washed but apart from that, all in all we had a great week and would stay again if we came back to Lyme Regis
Overall a really nice stay at The Lookout.
.lovely little flat in a perfect location with a lovely view. However, we did have a couple of gripes with the accommodation and which we noticed had been mentioned several times by previous customers in the comments book in the flat. 1. Cleanliness. We noticed that the shower was dirty as well as the curtain and shower head. There were damp marks also. Behind the TV there was a lot of grub and dust also. 2. The main bed was very uncomfortable which was also picked up in the comments book. You need to invest in a new mattress ASAP.
