Description

This well-presented property sits within the village of Totland, three miles from Yarmouth, on the scenic Isle of Wight.

Enjoying an enclosed garden and off-road parking, Tennyson View is a great base for a family looking to escape to the serenity of Isle of Wight.

After a day of wandering the coast, take advantage of the well-appointed kitchen for your home-cooking, complete with cabinets, appliances, and ample worktop space. Enjoy the lovely views out to the Tennyson Down trail, offering countryside vistas down towards The Needles landmark.

Spend your down time in the stylish lounge, furnished with ample seating and an electric fire, perfect for keeping warm during those colder months.

Head outside and spend a moment in the enclosed garden, whilst there is also a garage which can be used for bike/kayak storage.

As the night grows darker, venture upstairs and take comfort in either of the three bedrooms; there are two zip/link rooms which can be arranged as king-size or twins, along with a double, all also enjoying picturesque scenery.

Awaken from a leisurely slumber with a rinse in the bathroom, choosing between a bath or shower to start the day.

When you’re ready to explore, just a short stroll away there is a choice of eateries, including ‘The Hut’ seafood restaurant which is a popular choice in the summer. Choose the Captains Cabin near the sandy beaches of Colwell bay for a wide selection of café style food by the beach or enjoy a drink and dinner at the stunning Waterfront Bar and Restaurant, at the heart of Totland Bay.

Further, the pretty town of Yarmouth is just a short drive or bus away with a plethora of cafes and restaurants at all price points and lots to explore.

For adventure explore the rest of the Isle of Wight; seek out dinosaur footprints at Compton Bay, amble along Tennyson down, walk to the stunning Needles or simply make the most of the stunning beaches, with a chance to enjoy sailing, kayaking, sea fishing and scuba diving to name a few. Castles, bike rides and woodland walks are all within easy reach, as well as the legendary costal path being just a few hundred metres from your doorstep.

Hop on board the Isle of Wight steam railway and head on an adventure passing through five and half miles of countryside or take a chair lift from Alum Bay and marvel at the stunning views across the sand cliffs. Or if you just need to tire the kids out before bed, there is a park with a playground opposite the property.

Choose Tennyson View for a splendid escape to the Isle of Wight.

The house is in an excellent location for exploring the local area and the whole Isle of Wight.

It was very clean, comfortable and well equipped with everything needed for a self-catering holiday. We are happy to recommend to our friends and family.

What a lovely place to stay on the island.

Spotlessly clean, very well equipped and extremely comfortable. The owners kindly organised ferry travel at a discounted rate which was a blessing. We would book it again in a heartbeat

Very nice place.

Upon arrival there were teabags, a pint of milk and some biscuits which was very welcoming and a nice gesture.
