This was our second year staying at Churn cottage we loved the large open spaces there One recommendation is that they change the three piece suite as we found that the seats were rather too low to the floor making it a struggle to get off the suite

This was our second visit and we just love it !

The pool and the games room are brilliant extras. Star gazing while in the pool was amazing. The animals, both farm and wild are amazing and entertaining. The baby goats were especially cute, as was Posy the baby donkey who was just a bump when we came last year! We Love Churn House and will definitely be returning! Kingston Maurwood and Sculptures by the lake are well worth a visit

Churn House lies in a peacefu, pretty and remote area of Dorset.

If you want to get away from it all then it’s for you. It’s about 30 mins from the coast and handy for most major tourist destinations. The house, pool, and games room are exactly as described. All work well for a holiday destination and it’s decent value. There were some irritants though. Bedrooms are quite small and the living room chairs uncomfortable, if you’ve any hip or knee issues you won’t get out of them easily ! We also found some of the basic supplies lacking - no detergent, soap or shower gel and bare minimum of dishwasher tabs, kitchen roll and toilet paper. Not major issues but annoying and unnecessary. By the way the local pub is a bit tired. Don’t bank on it for eating out or a drink before 6 pm.
