  • "Although the property is clean & well appointed, issues with noise from the bar opposite until the early hours & the bar underneath are extremely disturbing."

We had to leave a day early as the smoke alarm in our bedroom beeped every minute during the night , we reported this in the morning only to be told that it might be fixed today or tomorrow!! Arrived back after 12 hours & still not fixed so we left a day early rather than take the risk & suffer another disturbed night. Any visitors should be aware that this property has two steep sets of stairs to climb for access.

  • "What a lovely holiday and Swanage is such a clean and friendly place to go for a summer break ."

Blue seas, clean beaches, and along the sea front it is easy to book a deck chair, lounger, and a seas side hut just across the road from the beach. Our accommodation is five minutes from the beach and staying in No 5 Purbeck Plaza apartment was a real a treat. It is ideal for two people, with a comfortable double bed, storage space and a bed side cabinet. The kitchen/ lounge is ideal for cooking and has adequate utensils to prepare for most meals.. The apartment is clean, stylish, and ideal for chilling and the noise from the outside road is easy to shut out. The owner of the apartments is very helpful and easy to talk to. He also owns the Plaza Tapas bar that serves excellent food as well as delightful wines and beers. In the evening just close the front apartment window and it blocks any noise from the streets. Immediate free parking is limited but the road next to the apartments has spaces without time limits but be prepared because it is a steep hill. The apartment is so close to the beach, shops, pubs, and just across the road is a wonderful pizzeria, but book in advance because it quickly fills up. The two of use had a great time so take some friendly advice and book an apartment if you are planning a holiday in Swanage Dorset. Ian and Jane

  • "The owner Lewis before we arrived contacted us to inform where to get keys from and suggestions for free parking."

We were the first to stay in this flat so everything new. Had all that you needed and also had coffee & tea &sugar biscuits & milk on arrival. Also met owner in person and was friendly and helpful, we did have issue with hot water though was sorted straight away. Plus had a meal & drink downstairs also would recommend lovely tapas and again very friendly. The location was great as everything you need is close by, shops & pubs & lovely local cafes with fresh cakes & pastries. Also very dog friendly as we took out dog with us and great start & end of the day to walk on the beach. Also had lovely gardens around near by. Would recommend to stay here. Thanks Lewis

About the location

SWANAGE

Wareham 9.7 miles; Poole 20 miles.

The small, family-friendly seaside resort of Swanage is situated at the eastern end of Dorset’s famous Jurassic Coast, on the celebrated Isle of Purbeck and is probably best known for its wonderful, gently shelving golden sands. The little town offers visitors plenty of shops, good pubs and restaurants, some of which specialise in locally caught seafood, and is also well known for its annual jazz festival, which takes place each July. The attractive, Victorian wooden pier offers a great place for a stroll or try fishing, and often used a departure point for divers, it’s a wonderful place to watch the world pass by. The historic Swanage Railway has its terminus in the town and regular nostalgic steam engine trips take tourists for a picturesque 6-mile journey, chugging through lovely countryside to stop just beyond the romantic ruin of Corfe Castle. Nearby Durlston Country Park offers a lovely day out with spectacular coastal walks, dolphin spotting and wildlife watching, together with comfortable viewing points and a well-stocked cafe for a treat after all the fresh air. Take the short drive to Studland, which has one of the finest beaches in the country, surrounded by heathland, together with the regular chain ferry, which crosses the mouth of Poole Harbour to Sandbanks. This truly is a delightful holiday destination at any time of the year.
