Lovely stylish retro accommodation with lots of thoughtful touches for guests comfort.

We loved the record player and record collection. Thank you Chris and Pru, you made us feel very welcome and the dog enjoyed the secure garden with the beautiful walnut tree. Highlights of the holiday included a walk around the giant via the riverside into Cerne Abbass with the friendly village shop being a favourite for supplies. The NT Hardy Cottage and Clouds Hill which were both amazing and very accommodating with our dog letting us take turns having a tour. The coast is easily accessible only 30 mins away and we enjoyed Bridport West Bay, Charmouth and Lyme Regis. The Hive on the beach at West Bay served fabulous pizzas with a view and we had delicious fish and chips on the beach at Lyme. Altogether a lovely stay.

Lovely property, comfortable and clean with well enclosed garden, safe for dogs.

In a quiet rural location with dog walks on the doorstep, and just a short drive into Cerne Abbas where there are pubs and a great shop. We really enjoyed our stay!

A friendly but not intrusive welcome from the hosts on arrival and during my two week stay .

. as they live next door they said hello snd offered washing, cleaning and help if I needed it. Lovely! The cottage has been refurbished 70’s style (my era) and the vinyl records and player fabulous. A beautiful cottage, well equipped, cosy and situated perfectly near bridleways (great for dog walks) and beautiful views of the delightful Dorset countryside. I would highly recommend this cottage. It’s worth knowing that the stairs are steep up to the cottage so not suitable for unfit folk or those with knackered knees! The beds are comfortable but single which again for some might not be ideal. My holiday and the cottage were fabulous!!
