The steep hill proved difficult with the cars.

I do not recall this being mentioned on the advert. I would have been useful to mention this. I found the beds uncomfortable. Pillows were too hard and it was only until the last day that we found other types of pillows hidden away. The house was lovely and had everything we could have wanted but we found it too cluttered with personal items which made us feel a little uncomfortable at times. Whilst the house is a good size, I dont think we could have comfortably fit 6 adults. The lounge furniture is too big, clunky and needing some TLC. The dining table is a good size so we never used the kitchen table. This just got in the way. The house decor is very mix matched. Quirky! Bedroom curtains that actually meet in the middle would be useful.

Beautiful cottage and garden with so much lovely wildlife visiting (Deer, Rabbbits, Phesants, Squirrels), very spacious and cosy.

Paintwork is a little tired in places, but the equipment and facilities is excellent. We had a minor maintenance issue with a tap, and it was fixed the same day whilst we were out. Fantastic quiet location to explore so much of tje local area.

The location is beautiful.

The house is great apart from a few minor issues. The space was as advertised. Great to have three toilets and two showers. Kitchen was very well equipped. The whole house was in perfect condition. The central heating and hot water were very good and there was an endless supply of wood and kindling to add extra atmosphere. If the weather had been better we’d have made use of the large and beautiful garden. Parking was a bit tricky because it’s on a steep hill, but we got the knack. Not sure if the top drive is part of the house, so mainly used the one on same level as the house. My elderly parents feel the cold and have done mobility problems. They were able to get in and around the house with no difficulty and it was warm and comfortable for them. There was a very generous and tasty welcome pack. The only issues were: It was a squeeze for six adults in the lounge, not due to the size of the space but the choice of furniture: two overly large armchairs and a settee which was a squeeze for three medium adults. The downstairs toilet is prone to blocking: we didn’t put anything down it that you shouldn’t and there is a notice about the problem. So either solve the problem or tell guests they should only urinate in it.
