• "Our stay at Agua de Plata was wonderful."

  We genuinely could have stayed at the house and around the village all week but we did want to have a few day trips out! This is a really unique place to stay. We loved paddle boarding and walking around the islands. The house itself is spacious and very comfortable. The only downside was using the door passes to access the Hurricane health spa only to be told by a rather unfriendly bunch of staff that the facility is only for residents. We were dismissed and sent to the Firefly complex on another part of the estate. That was fine but even here it was not straightforward getting a swim slot as we did not receive a booking link for the facility. This information needs updating in the property information as it took us a while to work out what we could use and what we couldn't and how to do it all. All was fine once we had though. We really do recommend the house and hope to back!

With regards to the property cleanliness, please advise where we went wrong to only get a 75% rating so that this can me improved for future guests. With regards to the spa / swimming pool, this is a bit of a moving feast at the moment with the change over being badly managed by the estate owners and it’s been pretty challenging to keep up with all the changes….glad you enjoyed though We hope to see you at Agua de Plata again soon. • "Wow, what a week!"

  We wanted peace and quiet and that’s exactly what we got. It felt like home from home, with everything you need. The house was extremely comfortable. We met some neighbours who were all very welcoming. The world stopped for us for the week while we connected as a family—walking, swimming, exploring, and eating lots in front of the lovely fire. Only a few points to mention: we couldn’t access Netflix upstairs in the rooms, but I know if we had messaged the owners they would have sorted it straight away. We also noticed a CCTV camera on the next‑door property which looks to point directly onto the back garden space of this property. This did make me feel uneasy with children, and we wouldn’t have enjoyed the garden if it was summer. This is not a reflection on this property though, as everything has been thought of—even down to the torches on the landing! Book you wont be disappointed Thank you, we will be sure to come back.

• "We absolutely loved the house."

  Very comfortable and had almost everything you needed for your stay. The island is lovely, scenery is amazing. Facilities on site were great! We were very comfortable here and will book to come back in a few months. We wee sad to leave!

• "My wife and stayed here for a week at the beginning of September, just after the school summer holiday."

  There were 5 adults. Agua de Plata provides a perfect base to relax and to explore the Silverlake Estate and nearby coastal walks and beaches. At Silverlake we swam in the main lake, made use of the free kayaks, regularly swam in the heated pool and used the gym and sauna. The beds were comfortable and gave us all a good nights sleep, and the downstairs kitchen / lounge / diner was perfect for a relaxing family time together. Silverlake itself is so peaceful, and during our evening walks we came across flocks of geese, Roe deer, Bats and running Hares. There were very minor issues with cleanliness at Agua de Plata which I've raised with the owner, but these wouldn't stop us from returning, or recommending.

• "We had a fantastic stay — the house absolutely lived up to our expectations!"

  Silverlake is a hidden gem: peaceful, spotlessly clean, and feels incredibly safe. It’s just a lovely place to be. Although the canal at the bottom of the garden had dried up due to the long hot summer, it didn’t take away from the charm of the setting. Just a heads-up — the pool is quite small and doesn’t have a deep end (which could be a plus or minus depending on your preference), but excitingly, it looks like they’re building a brand-new additional one for next year! The highlight for us was definitely the beach and lake — absolutely perfect for paddleboarding and swimming.

• "The house was in a beautiful setting."

  We were there first week of June after half term and it was lovely and quiet. The water ways and nature all around made our holiday. There is so much to do in this part of Dorset plus all the things to do on site. The swimming pool is heated and usually they never are that warm but this one was so made it lovely to use even on the cold windy days.

• "We are just returning from a week's holiday in 16 Wakeling Island."

  We had a such a lovely stay with our 4 children thoroughly enjoying all of the facilities and sports' equipment on offer. It was great having such easy access to the canal to make use of our own paddle board too. The house was super clean with everything we needed for our stay enabling us to cook for our family for the duration. Owing to the un favourable weather and also the excitement of the England football matches we were also delighted to make use of the comforts of the living area, games and TV screen. We really enjoyed the walks and exploring the wildlife. All in all, we really enjoyed our trip.
