Sofas shot and need replacement.

Bed so uncomfortable ,didn’t get any decent sleep in it. Dining room a waste of space yet the living area/lounge was tiny and cramped . One it the worst properties we have been in.

We had a great stay at Beau Annex, though turning into drive was a tad tight , other than that, a lovely place to stay , facilities are brilliant and clean, cottage is comfortable, thank you for the cake, very delicious

We loved this annex!

It's location is great and we felt very comfortable. The outside area is lovely and the home made cake was delicious. The carpets in the bedrooms are a bit outdated and I had some difficult with the WiFi I had to use my hotspot when using my laptop as the WiFi wouldn't work. Aside from that everything was great!

The accommodation was perfect for the two of us and the dog.

Perfect location for exploring the surroundings. We had everything we needed in the property and even got a visit from a hedgehog on two evenings. I would recommend this property for anyone who wants a comfortable little home to explore the New Forest. We were even supplied with a delicious lemon cake, milk and tea and coffee. Thank you.

We booked the annex for a short break as a family of 4 with a dog.

We liked the secure cosy garden, parking facilities and the location. Thank you!

In general we had a comfortable week.

The property is situated on a quiet narrow road, there is off road parking to the front. Access is through a gate to the side of the house. Inside, there is an entrance way and a small kitchen, dining room with bathroom off shot and a lounge with doors onto an outside decked area. The lounge is a reasonable size, although one sofa needs replacing as uncomfortable. It could also do with a lounge table as nowhere to place drinks etc The kitchen is well equipped but too small - no cupboard space at all for any provisions bought. The shelf in the fridge door was cracked and it also smelt of sour milk. The small freezer compartment needs defrosting. The owner had supplied milk and a homemade cake that was very much appreciated. Upstairs, the sloping roof makes manoeuvring tricky. Outside areas could have done with some TLC, flowers, weeds removed etc we had to clean the outdoor table before we used it. There are lots of leaflets in the house but many are out of date, a welcome folder would have been appreciated with recommendations of local pubs, restaurants etc A decent property but could be so much better with a few careful touches.

Perfectly adequate in all respects.

A comfortable room temperature was maintained perfectly during a cold snap. Good Shower, comfortable beds. The downstairs rooms were smaller than they seemed from the photographs, but OK for two people. Some of the cutlery and crockery were not quite clean on arrival. Mugs were stained, but did come clean on washing. It's a useful base for exploring the New Forest.

The accommodation was just fine.

It was only the two of us so much bigger than required. We only have a small dog but the garden was far too small and had no grass. The nearby streets are not suitable for dog walking.

Comfortable accommodation and close to all our favourite places such as Burley and Milford On Sea.

It was lovely to see a Christmas tree in the lounge area on arrival, and Prosecco and cakes were left for us, which was a lovely touch from the owners.

Most definitely NOT up to Sykes’ usual standards.

Both bedrooms should only sleep one person as both have a very sloping roof which is dangerous when trying to get out of bed on one side. Nice cake and milk on arrival. Place just seemed tired. One bathroom very small with tiny shower.

+ extremely comfortable beds + good communication with owners - lights in dining room too harsh - side tables in living room would be nice - bigger pots and a salad bowl would be great

The bedrooms are very restrictive due to the sloping roof so we ended up having to sleep in separate rooms.

Both bathrooms were very small, especially the sinks. The sofas were very uncomfortable with the springs having gone in one of them so you felt as is you were sitting on the floor. The garden was just a small patch of muddy grass, definitely not suitable for dogs plus the trees were overgrown and what with the high fence, made it very dark. Although milk and cake were supplied, it would have been nice to have had kitchen roll plus spare toilet rolls. All in all, the property looks and feels tired and could do with a bit of TLC.

Property in a good location which is a bonus.

Clean on arrival. I think the photos are misleading on some points. One person per bedroom made sense for the eaves. Maybe the utility room could be made better use of even if wardrobes added. It's a cosy little place but needs a bit of TLC

Fully equipped with everything you need for your holiday, spotlessly clean, central to lots of places.

Would recommend you take your own towels as they were a bit on the small size and not very soft at all. Found some amazing dog walks

This is a really beautiful property.

Everything has been thought of to ensure a relaxing stay. The area is fantastic and there is so much to explore. Would happily book again.

Beautiful comfortable little house that is easily accessible.

Owners are next door if you need them, but they leave you alone to enjoy your holiday. The house is very clean and smells lush when you enter. Garden is completely secure and is big enough to use, but not too big. Loved the property, would recommend to anyone who wants a nice clean,easy to find property.

We really enjoyed our stay.

Beau Annexe was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The shower rooms were small (as described) but, like many other guests before us, we used the downstairs shower as this was a little larger. The compact garden was totally enclosed and there were lots of easily accessible dog walks nearby (including an enclosed doggy play area with agility equipment 15 mins walk away). The location was ideal for exploring the New Forest - thank you

The annexe was very clean and accurately described, all the extras made our stay excellent.

The only thing is the under floor heating, this is the second cottage with this system, we recommend fitting just temp control rather than fancy controllers. This would help the owners and visitors as the previous people had left it at 25 degrees far too hot. It was hard to change just the temperature! Even with the manual and owners help!

The only thing that would make us hesitate to recommend this property is the fact that the slanting bedroom ceilings meant for us that we could not share a bedroom but slept in a bedroom each as we risked badly banging our heads when getting up in the night for the toilet.

Also the TV that is fixed to the wall is very small for the main lounge TV. However this was not a problem for us and we would definitely consider returning. Many thanks.

Very clean and equipped with everything that we needed.

Good off road parking. We stayed with two dogs and the garden was very secure and private. It was chilly during our stay but the annexe was toasty warm.

Big sofa wasn't very comfortable.

The kettle does need replacing or descaling, there were bits of limescale loose that floated in water. Some blankets and kitchen roll would have been nice.

Restricted head height is an issue and should be made clear in listing.

Kitchen is too small and poorly equipped. Towels provided are not big enough for adults.

Bijou property with everything you need, ideally sited for all the New Forest attractions.

We took advice from a previous reference and used the downstairs shower with the dining room as a dressing room as the en-suite is a little cramped, but very grateful for the loo in there! Yes, one of the sofas is rather low, but plenty of seating. Loved the little patio!

Driveway somewhat overgrown.

Spotlessly clean. Some facilities a bit cramped but very well furnished and equipped. A comfortable stay.

Had a really lovely week here- 2 adults, one toddler and one huge dog.

Owners went above and beyond to rearrange the furniture in the second bedroom for our toddler's needs and put my mind at ease. The garden was lovely and really secure, the dog spent most evenings sunbathing on the deck! As mentioned in previous reviews, the bedrooms and upstairs en-suite were a little cramped, but the bed was extremely comfortable and the downstairs was very spacious. We actually opted to use the downstairs bathroom and used the dining room as a dressing room, which was perfect for us. The kitchen was narrow but perfectly well equipped, and we got welcome cake which is always a bonus! Also in the dining room is a noticeboard full of leaflets for local attractions, which we found very useful. Ringwood is a lovely little town with nice shops, a waitrose and a sainsburys. There was a small playground nearby (off Ash Grove) which was perfect for our toddler, and we noticed another, larger playground further into the town which looked good for older children. Thank you for a lovely stay, and we hope to be back one day!

very nice and relaxing the trees outside could be cut back to give more light my little dog loved it

It was a lovely place to stay.

The double bed was a bit tricky due to the eaves, so only one person could stay in it comfortably as it could cause a bump on the head whilst trying to get up, especially in the middle of the night. I brought my own mattress topper as I have chronic pain problems which helped me with the bed. One of the sofas had very little support, but the other one was comfortable. Everything else was good and had everything you would need.

Beau Annexe is a really lovely place to stay, comfortable and cozy with everything you need and a great base to visit lots of places.

One thing that was missing were towels.

There were hand towels but nothing else. We had to go to Sainsbury's to get some. In the blurb it says towels provided. No dishwasher but understand space was limited. It is a small but well designed property in a pleasant road. We did enjoy our stay our first holiday in over a year There was also no information pack that we could find.

Very clean and tidy.

Beds very comfortable. Linen and towels goid quality. Ensure was very small, dormer bedrooms headroom above beds restrictive.Tv in living room not central on wall and a little too high. 1 x sofa too low and not the most comfortable. Lights too bright in living room. Needs dimmer and perhaps more table lights. Mirror too low in front bedroom. Underfloor heating not easy to control the room temperatures, but that coukd gave been us. Dining room brochures on the wall rack makes the room look untidy. A little difficult parking on the drive. Outside light seemed to have a mind of its own. Could do with a front light to illuminate the parking area. Kitchen very narrow to work in. No coffee supplied. Milk, tea and cake were very welcome. Rear garden hedges could do with cutting back, couldn't see a light to illuminate the garden. No grassed area , just a bare patch of ground. Location for Ringwood not bad, around 20 minutes walk into the town with lots of eateries and fair selection of shops. Good bus service from Ringwood. Bournemouth only £2 each way.Overall , we did have a lovely stay and slept well in the beds. Some minor improvements would make beau annexe much better. Would recommend this holiday home, but beware of the headroom restrictions in the bedrooms I'd say.

Very clean , made to feel welcome, properly dog friendly which isn’t always the case .

Bed super comfortable but a small double . Nice cake and milk which was appreciated. Small garden but completely dog proof and adequate for our needs. Close to town and forest . Toasty warm , showers good , would have liked a washing machine and the WiFi drops out a lot but apart from that it was lovely thank you .

This is the third year we have stayed here .

It is a lovely clean warm well equipped cottage and so close to the town and some lovely pubs and cafes . Perfect.

Was a lovely property with a small outside space to let the dogs out when needed, great location for exploring the New Forest.

Had everything we needed , milk in fridge, coffee, tea and hot chocolate and a lovely homemade lemon cake, which was delicious! Beds were comfy and towels provided. A lovely separate dining room and 2 shower rooms to use! Would definitely recommend and would book again if visiting new forest again. Easy check in and check out too! Thanks for a lovely stay

Good location to stay for the New Forest.

Better suited for younger people. Garden really unsuitable for dogs as grass area is non existent. Listing implies fridge, freezer but its actually a fridge with a small freezer top with very little space. At a loss to understand what the upstairs middle room was all about. Would have benefited from being turned into a laundry room and dispose of the dishwasher. Not enough kitchen cupboard storage space

Everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Beau Annexe is in an ideal location too for visiting the whole area .

Small, but perfectly formed with everything we needed for our stay. Lovely comfortable beds and ultra clean throughout. Really nice to find some basic essential supplies such as tea, coffee and milk on our arrival together with a lovely cake. Definitely somewhere we will consider returning to in the future. Equally happy to recommend to friends and family who are looking for accommodation in the New Forest area. We walked into the town on several occasions of an evening, local shop within easy reach too. Dog friendly with ultra secure fencing. Nothing not to like really.

We had a lovely week here.

The property was very clean and well equipped. Great location for visiting the New Forest and South coast. Only a couple of small negatives in that the Double bed is quite difficult to get in and out of on one side due to the sloping ceiling. The garden was overgrown and would benefit from the shrubs/trees being cut back to expose the small lawn area, especially as we had our dog with us. Overall though we would definitely return and recommend to others.

We had lovely time.

It was spotless. Beds comfortable. Plenty of hot water for showers. A little smaller than we expected but we'll adequate for our needs. Great access to Ringwood where we found plenty of good eating places.

As frequent visitors to the New Forest we’ve yet to return to any previous property.

However this modern and functional annexe is ideally situated within walking distance of the town and its amenities. Two excellent pubs serving good food and ale are within a 5 minute walk. The property is immaculately presented and cleaned to a very high standard. Both Netflix & Amazon tv are available. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return in the future.

Great little cottage, dog friendly and short walk to the town.

Lovely countryside, forest walks and country inns near by. The cottage would benefit from a washing machine rather than dish washer but that's a personal preference. The sloping roof in the main bedroom was awkward as very low and you easily bang your head if not careful, but overall it was a very comfortable, peaceful and relaxing stay. Thank you to the owners for the lovely extras, delicious cake, tea, coffee, milk etc, really nice thought. Would definitely recommend this cottage.

The facilities are adequate but with a few drawbacks.

The bedroom is hampered by a severely sloping ceiling making access around the bed difficult. The en-suite bathroom is very cramped with little room for toiletries. The kitchen is rather poorly lit. The lounge is fairly comfortable but rather basic. The location is very good, the rear garden is a bonus. The lemon drizzle cake (homemade) was a nice touch

Unusual layout .

Nice welcome hamper and a very clean comfortable property.The back garden could benefit from a light as it was difficult to see my small dark terrier in the evening .Look forward to returning .

Very tiny annexe, needs some TLC.

Kitchen is minute, wall cupboards needed. Washing machine needed not a dishwasher. The use of space is quite baffling, poor layout. Bedroom en suite is very small, my wife only 5'2" and struggled. The dining room en suite bathroom only a fraction bigger. The outside space is small and has a 3m high fence, so not much sunlight gets in. We were also troubled by RATS. Notified the owner who got past control in. Would not recommend this cottage. A lovely welcome package on arrival.

Really lovely stay.

Great location for exploring the new forest and Dorset coast. Beautifully clean, and the little bits left like milk and a cake made it extra special. Perfect size space for a family of 4, with 2 adults and 2 small children. Only very small thing that could be added would be a guest book or recommendations for local places/restaurants to visit, but that’s only very minor. Thank you! Would definitely come again!

In a great location.

Dog walking near by. Cake, sugar and milk left for our arrival. Tiny kitchen. Not enough space to put any provisions anywhere. Could be more kitchen utensils, e.g there was no colander, or non stick turner for frying eggs. Had to clean the cutlery tray and the drawer, as was a little dirty. Everywhere else appeared clean. Washing machine would have made more sense than a dishwasher. A coffee table is needed in the lounge. TV in lounge not in a great position. Bedroom ceilings slope on one side, so had to try not to bang our heads. No where to put clothes if you wanted to unpack your cases. Probably suit young family rather than 4 adults. Would have been nice to have an information booklet listing local amenities/phone numbers e.g, nearest shops, dog walks, doctors, vets etc, however there was a brief note on the entrance wall, welcoming us, and and if we needed anything to call a couple of phone numbers, and the owners were next door. When we first arrived, the owner next door pulled into his drive but didn't even acknowledge us, which felt a bit unfriendly. There were no intructions of what to do at the end of our stay e.g strip beds, or not, etc. However, we still made the most of our week and enjoyed our stay.

Lovely clean cottage, bed really comfy.

Warm and cosy. Couple of down points, no storage space in the kitchen for provisions to be kept, no tin opener!! Mixed and matched the shower rooms as the sink is tiny in the en-suite, so ended up using both, shower and loo upstairs, sink and toilet in downstairs. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and our two dogs loved the garden and decking to mooch about. Thanks

Lovely cozy annexe Everything you need for a relaxing break.

On arrival there was a lovely home made lemon drizzle cake, milk and tea/coffee, which was so welcomed after a long journey.

The under floor heating was such a nice luxury and made our stay very comforting. My daughter and our sprocker thoroughly enjoyed the break and recommend walking within the NF. Beau Annexe is so fresh and homely.

Perfect for a couple and dog. Well positioned for New Forest and Bournemouth area.

Comfortable and attractive cottage.

A great startingpoint for our first acquaintance with this region. We really enjoyed it. Comfort is not maximal score because of the high temperatures that week, the rooms and beds were just fine. The cottage could do with some more glassware and cutlery, besides that a very complete holiday cottage.

Perfectly adequate accommodation for our week's holiday.

Bedding inappropriate for season but owners provided something for double bed and just used duvet cover on single. Needs more crockery and cutlery to maximise economical use of dish washer. NB for users - no freezer just small ice compartment at top of fridge (needed defrosting to add space). No storage in twin bedroom. Only 1 toilet tissue provided for each bathroom. No basic bits as usually found in rental kitchens such as cling film, foil, oil etc. Hand wash provided as were tea towels (read not included). Plenty of towels. Tea bags, milk, sugar, some pre-mixed coffee sachets and home cooked cake - yum. Enjoyed garden area with both shady and sunny spots but smoky on occasion. Large off-road parking for 1 vehicle, no on-road parking near-by. Accommodating, pleasant hosts.

Lovely annexe.

Very clean, beds really comfy. Only slight grumble is the kitchen which is not really fit for purpose. Far too small to cook a decent meal. Nice little outside space at the back. In all we had a pleasant stay.

Good property, missed not haveing a washing machine.

Best comfortable bed we have slept in away from home ( 10 /10) for that. Would be nice to have so information about the area, leaflets maps ect, local shops, tel no for doctors, vets, nearest hospital. Lovely stay enjoyed New Forrest

would not recommend this property due to the small ness of the bathroom in the bedroom could not move about plus getting in one side of the bed you had to be a contortionist to get in without banging your head on the ceiling plus the garden furniture was very uncomfortable

Bedroom ceiling height a bit of an issue.

Would not book for 4 adults. Poor positioning of furniture esp in lounge. TV not well placed. Kitchen could have been better equipped, i.e. kitchen roll, cleaning cloth. Washing machine more useful than dishwasher I think.

We had a 4 day short break ( 4 adults and a dog ) and Beau Annexe was perfect.

It was clean and had everything we could possibly need. The beds were very comfortable and two showers were handy with 4 adults. It is very well situated to explore the surrounding area. Ringwood is beautiful and would highly recommend Naru café for breakfast and The Fish Inn is a beautiful thatched pub in lovely gardens next to a lake .The food is very good too. Poole and Bournemouth are also very near by. We had a 5 star stay but I would agree with other reviews that there is only parking for 1 car and the sofas could do with replacing as we like to stay in in the evening and the sofa was a bit hard but i disagree about the garden. The decking area is large with 2 tables which was lovely to sit on and have breakfast in the morning. The grass area is small but perfectly adequate for our cockapoo to run around on. I would also have liked a larger tv but that's personal choice. The one has loads of channels and features and was fine. We would definitely recommend. Thank you for a wonderful break.

It was a lovely clean Annexe we had a welcome pack of tea, coffee, sugar and a lovely home made cake the garden was enclosed just right for our dog Barney.

We had a lovley time in the little cottage it has everything you need and so close to the lovley town of ringwood and the amazing new forest We would though agree with other users that the sofa are uncomfortable and the tele is in rather a awkward position for us all to watch.

Plus maybe renew the garden furniture at some time soon Sorry to put a negative but hope it is useful

Beau Annexe is a lovely little property and has everything you need.

The only reason we marked it down slightly on facilities is because the room in both showers is very limited but, given the overall space in the property that is understandable. Well located though and very comfortable.

Property was very clean and decorated to a good standard. Ideal location to visit both new forest and beaches which we took our two dogs during our stay. Couple of minor issues I would comment on is the information regarding car space. It states parking for two cars but there is no way you could achieve this. It didn’t affect our stay but could catch future renters if they come in two vehicles. Due to the narrowness of the road it would be impossible to park outside the property. Would be convenient to have an outside light to the rear of the property

It’s warm and cosy with everything you need to make your stay comfortable.It was very clean and tidy on arrival and the basket of goodies and cake were an extra bonus.Would recommended the property for couples with a dog as small but enclosed garden is also a bonus.

It was as describes by Sykes. It is an annexe, so overall size is relatively small compared to a cottage, for example. Having said that, it offers a cosy environment.

Thanks for the Welcome pack, especially the cake. We found the location very handy for outings to the New Forest and further afield to Portsmouth and Shaftesbury.

Beau Annexe is well located, not far from the New Forest and Dorset too.

The property was very clean, two good bedrooms although did crack my head on the sloping ceilings a few times! Lovely cake was left for us as part of the welcome pack as well along with tea, coffee and milk. Kitchen is well stocked with the utensils that you need for a week. Town centre and shops are only a short walk away. Had a lovely week at a lovely property. The only thing I would mark down on was mentioned in a previous review. One of the sofas is very uncomfortable and the seat cushions just slide off - a bit annoying but only a minor thing.

Location was excellent.

Easy to reach destinations in all directions. Pleased with cottage. Very comfy sofas and beds. Absolutely no complaints.

Beau Annexe is very comfortable and homely and in easy access to visit other places in the area.

The owner was very friendly and her lemon drizzle cake and basket of essentials were a very nice thought . Ringwood town is within easy walking distance with a good range of shops. Would recommend this place to friends and family.

It would have been helpful if there had been a welcome pack showing how to use the oven, TV , what to do with rubbish and recycling at the end of our stay and maybe a laundry basket for dirty linen and towels.

Also good dog walking areas in the local area for general morning/evening walks.

Fantastic long weekend in a lovely well equipped annex.

The location is fantastic, as is the annex it’s self. Our dog loved it and we hope to return.

We found the accommodation at Beau Annexe very clean, tidy and well equipped, being situated in a quiet location not far from the main Ringwood shopping centre and close to amenities.

There is a small garden to the rear which is fully enclosed (ideal if you have a dog) and a patio which leads out from the lounge. Access to the New Forest and Seaside Resorts are relatively near by.

Everything was lovely, clean and couldn’t fault it.

The only thing is the garden is very small looks a lot bigger in pictures than it actually is.

Lovely comfortable warm annex.

Comfortable bed although did bang head a few times on sloping ceiling. Driveway only big enough for 1large or 2 small cars. Rained most of our stay, but the little garden completely secluded & secure for our dog.Lovely to sit outside on a dry day. Really great accommodation for a great price.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Beau Annexe.

It was very cosy and clean, and the welcome pack from the owners was very much appreciated. especially after our journey. It is a short drive to the main shops, Sainsburys and Tesco, to stock up on groceries, and it is not far from Bournemouth and Christchurch. As we had already planned much of where we wanted to visit this time we didn't get a chance to call into Ringwood itself for the shops and market. However, we had a lovely visit to Durdle Door and Lulworth Castle, which we became interested in from the painting in the hallway, and from one of the many leaflets left for guests. We will definitely be booking our holiday at this property again in the future.

It said enough room for two cars on driveway , no way possible unless one was a dinky car , settees not very comfortable at all well worn , mirrors in bathrooms very high I could not use them , do not want to stay there again

Personal reasons meant we had to cut our holiday short.

The owners were wonderful. The cottage is easy to find, exceptionally clean with all you need to make your stay a happy one. There was a welcome basket for us, and a welcome drink right inside the door for our little dog. The only concern I would have, and please take this constructively, is to have privacy glass on the main en suite bathroom, and to perhaps reconfigure the bed away from the sloping ceiling to avoid banging your head when making the bed, or climbing in.

The drive certainly isn't large enough for 2 cars.

With some planning it should be possible to make the upstairs utility room a laundry room. Do we really want clear glass on the door to the en suite?
