    "This is the third time we've stayed at Riverview, and I'm sure it won't be the last."

    It is in an excellent location, is spacious for four, and very well-equipped. The small balcony over the river is delightful, although it has to be accessed through the upstairs bedroom. What could make it better? A lightweight duvet in the summer, and the provision of plastic plates etc to take to the beach - but these are minor quibbles.

    "Riverview is an excellent apartment."

    The location in the centre of Lyme couldn't be better. It was great fun to step out the front door and be in the heart of the town and Marine Parade. We found the entrance hallway useful for storing beach paraphernalia so that the apartment wasn't cluttered up or covered in sand! The apartment was very clean and had a modern kitchen with all the facilities you could hope for. Enjoyed the separate dining room. The lounge was comfortable with excellent views of the Lym, sea and Coombe Street (perfect for people watching). Loved the beds which were very warm and comfortable. The only downside was the narrow, twisty staircase to the top floor. Having the parking certificate was brilliant (although it is falling apart and could do with a new frame - i did look for one in the town but couldn't find one suitable). The saving on parking fees was great. The general atmosphere of the apartment was lovely - we really enjoyed our stay.

    "Have stayed in this property before, but it was many years ago."

    Now has lovely new kitchen & bathroom. We enjoyed staying here & would come back again. Great position in town, facilities are great. However, you probably should invest in some new mugs as most are very chipped. Lovely being back in Lyme & at this property

    "Beds fantastic as was the apartment, I think it should be mentioned that the stairs are not suitable for old people who are not steady, there is no rail at all and part of the stairs are completely open."

    Mum had to come down on her bottom……. At 90 years old! …….Other than that fabulous. Need better instructions on working tv ect, typed….. 4 remote controls was confusing unless your a techno genius

    "Shame these problems hadn’t been sorted before our short stay."

    Had to waste time calling for assistance. Office was closed. Had to email, then speak to office the following morning. As the only toilet was constantly flushing! Shower hose was leaking also! Plus kitchen tap was dripping also! Both the toilet and shower were fixed promptly, but just wish housekeeping had sorted before our visit! Time wasted for us unfortunately! Regards Melanie

    "This is the second time we have stayed in this property and we love it in many ways especially its amazing position."

    However as we mentioned last year it desperately needs hand rails and for us the lack of could possibly stop us being able to book it again due to my parents safety. The reason I gave maintenance a lower rating is due to the painted up sash windows in the main bedroom and the dining room, I love to see sash windows but as a decorator I would never paint them closed, as a family we are big fans of fresh air in the bedroom and there is also the fire escape aspect. We were also sad to see the bath swapped for a shower. Generally though lovely flat and wonderful position.

    "Riverview is a spacious and light flat in an excellent position close to the beach and centre."

    We were disappointed with the standard of cleanliness on arrival but Lyme Bay holidays responded quickly and sent in a cleaning team and a maintenance man. The flat really does need an update, it lacks any interior design. There are lots of shelves fully of books and CDs collecting dust. I particularly did not like the magazines on the shelves above our bed, some were 20 years old! There is one window in the lounge which has a sea view but the TV position obscures some of the wonderful view. This was our first time to Lyme Regis and we will visit again.

    The flat itself is spacious and clean with good facilities (with a recent upgrade of the kitchen). We have stayed here on a number of occasions and will happily do so in the future.
