1 Ocean Bay

The apartment has a fantastic view of Swanage Bay from the balcony and living room .

It’s well furnished and equipped and we received comprehensive information before we arrived. The only downsides are a few steep steps to the front door, parking is on local roads up a hill and difficultly with parasols in the sea breeze but these were minor inconveniences compared with the enjoyment of staying in this great location in a family friendly, traditional seaside town.

Great apartment only problem is the parking arrived Friday unloaded took a hour to find a parking slot , because of this I never moved the car until I loaded and came home.

Flat 4 above has a slot over the road perhaps you can source one for flat 1. Carnival week is always crazy spoils a holiday When parking is an issue , been coming to Swanage for 40 years always booked a hotel/flat with a space but I knew it would be a problem

The flat has a huge wraparound balcony.

It was lovely to open the bi-fold doors and watch the sea. I found it all perfect. And the beds are superbly comfortable.

The apartment was really impressive and check in was easy. It had everything that you could possibly want (with the exception of a potato masher - but that is really being picky!). The living space was more than big enough for four adults and the balcony was really impressive. Being able to see and hear the sea really made our trip. Communication with the owners was great and they were responsive. We have already passed the accommodation details on to friends and family as we were so impressed and will very likely be returning at some point in the future.

The four of us had a great time.

The apartment was faultless and in a great location too. The host kept us fully informed and provided a lovely welcome pack of goodies. We have already recommended to friends and hope to return again.

The weather was very unkind to us for most of our stay, so being able to sit in the lounge and watch the waves crashing to shore, the rain sweeping across from the town and the totally crazy cold water swimmers has been immensely enjoyable. We have been married for 46 years and we have made a point of never returning to the same accommodation for our holiday. However, we have been so impressed with this apartment that we have already booked a week for next year. This apartment definitely has the 'wow' factor with bifold doors onto the amazing balcony from each bedroom as well as the lounge and the panoramic view from the lounge itself is magnificent. The balcony is huge with wicker sun loungers, arm chairs, dining table and chairs. It is so close to the sea that you feel as though you are actually on the beach. The place was spotlessly clean, well maintained and had everything we needed for our stay. Although there is no designated parking for this flat, we easily found free parking about 100 metres away. The stroll along the prom into town (10 to 15 mins) is delightful. We would recommend this apartment without any hesitation.

The booking was for my 90 year old mother, fourth booking.

She loves it and asked that her thanks are passed on for how enjoyable a stay she has. She already wants to come back next year.

The apartment is amazing and we received lots of useful information from the owners prior to our stay.

They provided some delicious goodies to get us started and we will definitely be returning. The location is unbeatable.

We had a lovely stay again, appreciated the treats and having basics like milk when we arrived - does make such a difference.

Just to let you know the plug was stuck in the bathroom sink & needed cleaning out to get it to work properly. The outside umbrella didn’t fit into the stand properly & as it was quite windy wasn’t really usable.

I liked the flat, great location, well presented.

However I had invited friends to stay with me and I found myself embarrassed by the poor level of cleanliness and maintenance. Shelves and surfaces, some kitchen equipment were not very clean. The place mats were grubby and falling apart, and not something you would want to eat your dinner off. The bath doesn't drain properly. No shelves or drawers for clothes in the twin room, two light bulbs not working. These concerns individually sound trivial but together they spoiled my holiday and embarrassed me. This rental property is one of the most expensive per bed in Swanage, but the cleanliness and comfort don't match the premium price.

We really enjoyed our stay in the location is amazing right by the.

For us, the sofa in the lounge just wasn’t very comfortable. The kitchen could also be a little better equipped in terms of pots and pans, e.g. a vegetable steamer. Overall, it’s a fantastic flat and we really enjoyed our day. The cleaning team were very helpful. Thank you.

Fabulous property so close to the beach that you can hear the sea lapping on the shore from your bedroom window.

Thoughtfully equipped and maintained to a high standard. Each bedroom has a bathroom so that makes post-beach showers less of a drama. Gorgeous balcony with views over the bay - bring a fleece and you can basically live out there! It really was a home-from-home experience for us - down to the super coffee machine. Pippa was very easy to communicate with and provided excellent info before our arrival. No hesitation in recommending 1 Ocean Bay to anyone.

1 Ocean Bay is a beautiful flat with an amazing view and location.

We were so fortunate with the weather and made full use of the spacious balcony and proximity to the lovely Swanage sea. We stayed in carnival week and were able to enjoy the fireworks and parade from the balcony. The balcony had a great mix of furniture, for relaxing and dining. The kitchen is modern and well stocked, the only slight downside was the lack of empty cupboard space for food (though the fridge freezer was very spacious). Would definitely consider another stay here again in the future.

Fabulous location / extremely comfortable / everything you need provided / lovely welcome pack of goodies on arrival plus all the basics like tea / coffee / milk.

Good instructions from owner too! Really enjoyed our week there.

Fantastic high speck flat in a wonderful position.

We were initially concerned that there were no curtains in the lounge, feeling a bit exposed, until we discovered the blinds! Excellent response from Pippa when we had a query and she kept in touch with us. It would have been nice to have instructions on how to work heating, coffee machine and cooker for instance - suitable for OAPs!. We did manage all of them with the exception to the coffee machine. It just would have saved time. We will return.

Amazing view, lovely to see the rising Sun over the sea and I hear the lapping of waves whilst resting in bed .

The property was just wonderful, it had the best views of Swanage bay and actually only about 20 feet from the waters edge and a great spot for storm watching.

The property was very well furnished inside and on the balcony, spacious, modern, bright, clean and all your home comforts. If not for the appalling weather (storm Babette) we would like to have stayed longer to explore more of Dorset. In all HIGHLY RECOMMENDED…. Thank you

An absolutely stunning apartment with the best views of Swanage you could ever wish for.

Everything in this apartment is high quality. We were greeted with a wonderful welcome pack and there was everything you could wish for a perfect stay. The beds were extremely comfortable and everything was beautifully clean. There is no dedicated parking with this property - which we were aware of - but there was always plenty of places to park within a few hundred yards. I can’t recommend highly enough.

The property, unquestionably, has fabulous uninterrupted sea views.

Very sweet of the owner to leave some fresh treats in the fridge. Less so, not good to find a packet of old potatoes in one of the cupboards which had a use by date of 6th August, so had clearly been there through numerous occupancies prior to our arrival. Property has clearly worked hard for the owner throughout the year! , attention to maintenance & cleanliness in kitchen area is imminently required. Stained internal sofas, coffee table, greasy kitchen surfaces & doors. Lots of flaking paint .....& sooo many spiders unhoovered in light recess above internal sofas. The hoover, was ,upon arrival full of hair, dust etc from previous use. Yuk! Outdoor cushions are in need of cleaning, replacing. To summarise. Fabulous property & location. Beds were clean & fabulously comfortable! Cleaning regime & maintenance needs attention.

The apartment was equipped to a high standard both inside and out which made our stay even more special.

The beds were extremely comfortable. The close proximity of the sea was wonderful and the sound of the waves at night lovely. We would have no hesitation in either returning or recommending to others.

This is the most amazing property with incredible views of the whole bay.

The sunrise in the morning and breakfast on the terrace was our favourite time of the day, but equally as the terrace is so large you can move round the side to catch the evening sun. The property itself has everything you could need and we can't wait to visit again.

What can I say… probably the best location in Swanage … overlooking the bay with plenty of space.

Really lovely property, clean, good quality kitchen equipment, really comfortable beds.

Slight problem with the Wi-Fi but this was sorted straight away. Would have been nice to know that builders were next door and to expect some noise but overall a really lovely property

A superb apartment with fabulous views of the whole bay and beyond.

Well equipped and very clean. The lounge and both bedrooms all have patio doors leading out to your own private balcony. We felt like the King and Queen of Swanage looking out over the beach and promenade. Welcome food items were a nice touch too. Will definitely return.

We had an enjoyable time at Flat 1 .

The accommodation was luxurious and gifts left in fridge most thoughtful. The weather was good and this allowed us to make full use of the balcony and its impressive range of outside furniture. As a result of the sunshine we didn't need the heating as the flat was always warm. It would have been helpful if the manufactures instructions for the microwave and oven were available .

Great location close to the town centre but peaceful and quiet in the evenings. The owner is very kind and helpful, quickly resolved a small issue we had. We loved our stay in the flat and can't wait to come back.

We loved staying at this apartment along with my mother who has many fond memories of staying in Swanage with my father.

This stay bought many memories back for her and being so close to the sea was ideal for her. We will certainly want to return to this beautiful, well placed property. The property had everything we needed for a most enjoyable, restful holiday.
