What guests are saying
The house is in an excellent location, directly opposite the beach and close to local shops.
It has great facilities and plenty of space for everyone. The bedrooms, kitchen and lounge are well equipped, and the beds are very comfortable. One thing worth mentioning for future guests is the noise from the cocktail bar next door. Having read previous reviews, we came prepared with earplugs, but unfortunately the music and live bands could still be heard in the house. On some nights, the music continued until around 2:00–4:00 am, and we found it difficult to sleep until the bar had closed, even in the back bedrooms. We appreciate this is outside the property's control, but guests sensitive to noise may want to consider it. We also noticed that the bar stools at the kitchen breakfast bar are showing signs of wear, with the plastic covering splitting and leaving small pieces on the floor when the stools were used. Overall, the house has many positive features, particularly its fantastic location, spaciousness and comfortable accommodation.
So the location of the accommodation is perfect and ideal - it is right on the beach front, there’s a car park about a 5 minute walk towards the pavilion (it does get full so get there early) - one car space is provided but we had multiple cars.
It is huge in the house and generally clean - but of dust and mould on the windows, damaged window shutters and doors - not a problem but noticeable. The kitchen is huge and well equipped, fridge, freezer and tvs etc. Pros: Rooms are really good and spacious Bathrooms are great Beds really comfortable Multiple tvs Great kitchen Great communal area Great location Cons: It is stated in the listing but it is right by a cocktail club, so it is extremely loud. Parking is limited depending on time and days. It was really hot in the house(obviously due to the weather recently) so we had to have the windows open all day, then shut them at night due to the noise. We had 4 people in the shower after going to the beach - this lead to 2 floors having leaks and the bottom floor having a power cut. The numbers provided to call on the app say they’re closed so had to call another number (stated in one call) for an emergency call out. 30 mins later we had a call from the maintenance team, explained the situation and then they came to see the property the next day. Overall it was a great choice for us and why we were there, just be mindful if you intend to sleep early on the weekend, it will be loud.
Arrived to High Tide to find a beautiful and clean house, lights were on which was so welcoming.
We met the house keeping team who couldn’t do enough to ensure our stay was perfect. Loved the linen, like sleeping in a cloud! The house is well equipped for a big family and has perfect views of the seaside. Would definitely book here again!
