This is our second visit to Rothiemay in Maidens and it didn't disappoint.

Such a lovely cottage in a beautiful tranquil village ,straight across from the Sea . What more could you ask for .

We visit Rothiemay every year.

Its our favourite chillout space. The little glass room at the front offers pure relaxation right opposite the beach. Cleanliness is second to none and the host first class.

We didn't want to leave! If we're back in the area we would definitely stay there. Loved the conservatory!

Location, location, location!

Spacious property that was extremely comfortable and very clean. The conservatory was the highlight for relaxing and soaking up the view. Our Springer, Lewis, thoroughly enjoyed running on the beach. Having Culzean almost on the doorstep was a bonus. We cannot recommend the property highly enough.

Wonderful cottage, everything we hoped for.

The conservatory, and view, we're magnificent, we spent every evening just watching the sun go down. Location ideal for travelling up and down the coast and only 10 minutes away from Turnberry Golf Course. Green Fees only £1000 for a round, we didn't bother!

Had a fantastic week staying at Rothiemay, which is a lovely clean and comfortable bungalow.

Set in a wonderful position overlooking some grassland down to the sea and Arran beyond. Walked along the beach, up the wooden stairs and along to Culzean castle grounds, which is a must do walk. Hope to return and do it all again.

The house was lovely just what we needed for my mum to rest after a short illness.

The village is so nice and being so close to the beach our little french bulldog loved discovering all the new places. Would highly recommend this lovely property.

Lovely enclosed garden area for dog and great walks down to beach. Cottage itself was spotless and modern and all the utilities you needed. Shop 30 seconds from doorstep is ideal. Would highly recommend for a peaceful break

Rothiemay sits in an ideal location facing the sea with views to arran.

Great porch / conservatory to relax in. Garden was ideal for the dog and there are loads of places to walk. Housekeeping at the cottage can't be faulted. The local shop is about 30 metres away and stocks about everything you could need. Also worth a visit is Culzean Castle park which is a short walk along the beach and then walk up the road at the end of the caravan park. Great holiday with no problems.

We had a lovely time at Rothiemay.

The cottage was of a very high standard. We particularly liked sitting in the conservatory looking out to sea and the hills of Arran. The sunsets were spectacular. We had enjoyable meals locally in Wildings and visited Souters at Kirkoswald. All in all we enjoyed our break. Iris

Well equipped cottage in a brilliant location adjacent to the beach Every thing you need for a great holiday.

The views from the conservatory were stunning. Very clean and tidy. Enclosed garden for the dog. Local shop handy and centrally located for touring Even joined the National Trust as we liked Culzean castle estate that much. The bed could have been a little more comfortable. And steps to front and back door. Overall a great holiday experience and would recommend.

It's a lovely cottage.

The sunroom is brilliant, and the views are outstanding. The location is beautiful, and the garden was perfect for our dog. Having the beach just over the road and the ability to walk in the woods and go to Culzean Castle was just perfect. The pub, Ropes, is good. The food and beer are lovely, and it is dog-friendly outside. We did not go to the restaurant as it is not dog-friendly. The shop/cafe/post office is a gem! You honestly need never leave the village; everything is right there—even an ice cream van comes to visit, making your stay even more convenient. The cottage is exceptionally well equipped, leaving us feeling secure and comfortable. We cannot think of anything that was missing. The bed was a little too firm for my husband and like concrete for me. Despite the overall positive experience, we were surprised and a bit disappointed to find that there was no welcome pack, not even a pint of milk. Basic amenities like tea, coffee, and sugar were also missing from the canisters provided. Additionally, we felt some information or tourist leaflets about the area would have been helpful. We picked up some information leaflets from the Girvan tourist information office and left them in the cottage. Also, the tile grout and caulk in the shower need a good cleaning, and there is some mould around some of the window frames. We had a truly fantastic time and will definitely return again, assuring you of the overall positive experience we had.

This was our second visit and loved it as much as the first.

The cottage is definitely 5 star, and has everything you could need or want is supplied. It was so good sitting in the conservatory, looking out at the water, even in the rain. Just so peaceful. We hope to return soon.

A spotlessly clean cottage in an enviable position in a quiet seaside village.

The sunsets over Arran from the conservatory were spectacular, a lovely spot to enjoy a glass of wine or cup of coffee.

We had an amazing weekend at Rothiemay cottage, it was absolutely lovely, spotlessly clean, and had everything we needed, the bathroom/shower room is especially beautiful.

Comfy seats in the living room, with a cracking big smart TV. The weather was so good, so we were able to take advantage of the lovely well kept garden, which had a sea view. we watched the sun set over the sea every evening. lovely Quiet wee village.

Rothiemay is a beautiful cottage that is well equipped and spotlessly clean.

The enclosed garden was great for my cocker spaniel to run about in chasing her ball. The views were lovely although it wasn't the best of weather. Unfortunately I had to cut my visit short due to an emergency at home but the time I was there was very relaxing. Would definitely think about returning

Very comfortable well cared for property.

This is a beautiful cottage placed in a superb little hidden gem of the West coast.

The beach is a minute from your door- there views are stunning if you get good weather. The sun room at the front is a lovely haven to relax in. The cottage is well equipped with everything you need in the kitchen. The decor is well done and clutter free. Everything was very clean and tidy. The heating makes the cottage cosy and it is definitely needed on cold days. Unfortunately the beds were very uncomfortable- the mattresses were so hard and unsupportive with springs easily felt- our sleep was not great because of this. We would love to return to visit Maidens and would consider this cottage if they had better mattresses.

My fiancée and I had a lovely, restful week at the cottage.

The cottage is decorated very tastefully and is much bigger than it appears from the outside, making it very comfortable/spacious for two occupants. The bathroom/ shower is excellent. There are beautiful views across towards the sea and there are some lovely attractions only a short drive away (Culzean castle being a highlight). We would definitely use the cottage again as we had a lovely relaxing week there.

Very well equipped with everything you need and spotlessly clean . We Loved sitting in the conservatory with a couple of glasses of wine, looking at the water. We definitely want to come back and hopefully will! Thank you for a 5 star experience.

Would only comment that the cottage was short on bath size towels.

Also the property was last cleaned on the 29th and we had a booking from the 31st with the same entry time of 17:00. Other sites would and have contacted you to say you can appear earlier. Than 17:00 again approx 14:00 would have allowed us more time to relax and enjoy.

Lovely cosy place to stay and a beautiful location.

Spotlessly clean and well equipped. Only thing and it is small is the lighting is a bit bright for cosy nights in maybe some sort of dimmers, we used the floor lamp in the corner instead but other than that it was perfect. We'd recommend to anyone plus the price was reasonable as well.

This is a beautiful property that has been well maintained.

It is clean and comfortable, with everything you require. Easy access to the beach. The local shop is literally a stones throw away, and was well stocked. We loved our time there, unfortunately it was cut short due to a family emergency. Definitely recommend this accommodation

We have stayed at various dog friendly properties and this is the ultimate.

Caroline one of the owners contacted us prior to the visit to advise of roadworks affecting the route to Maidens. The property exactly as described and is luxurious throughout. There was nothing not thought about. The bathroom was huge and just right with the shower. The sun room overlooking the bay was fantastic for sitting looking at the the view of the Isle of Arran under various weather conditions. Huge grassed area and beach very good for exercising our hound. Saw seals and various birds up close from the beach. Easy access to the nearby Scottish National Trust castle with its massive grounds. All in all we would return in a heartbeat
