Little Haven

Immaculate property, ideally situated and wonderfully well-equipped.

The owners of Little Haven should be extremely proud of their lovely property. They have thought of everything and obviously care very much about their guests' comfort. From the most generous welcome pack (including little 'extras' that you keep coming across) to the superbly well- equipped kitchen, everything has been given so much consideration and it really shows. We like to eat out on holiday, but if you do want to cater for yourself, the kitchen has all the cutlery, crockery, gadgets and utensils anyone could ever need. The spacious wet room is probably the best we have ever had the pleasure of using and is ideal for those of us who are not as mobile as we used to be. Situated only a few minutes drive from the coast, Little Haven is perfect for those wanting to combine a beach visit with the shops along Connaught Avenue in Frinton on Sea, or travel further afield to Colchester (take the park and ride as it's so convenient and easy to use) for some retail therapy or visit the Tiptree Jam factory and Museum. If the weather is not so good, there are lots of books, games and a huge tv to entertain you. The owners, Lesley and Mark, live next door but are totally unobtrusive. When we asked for some ideas for eating out, they replied immediately with some great suggestions, but otherwise left us alone to enjoy our holiday. There are lots of places to eat out with all budgets catered for, but The Ship Inn seems to be particularly popular for good reason, as the food is excellent. All in all, immaculate Little Haven is very aptly named.

Several things we need not have taken with us if we had known they were included/available Just a few little tweaks which I did leave a note about for the owners.

Excellent property, maintained to a very high standard, and, because it was designed for use by disabled travellers, could be especially recommended for use by wheelchair users etc.

Our only very minor suggestion was that it would be nice to have condiments available.

Incredible amount of amenities and little touches to give it a homely feel and make your special extra special. We would highly recommend!

The facilities at this property were excellent with so many extra thoughtful & welcoming touches provided by the owners.

We have been on many self catering holidays but we have never had such a generous welcome hamper which made a lovely start to our holiday. The property was very quiet & relaxing but also within easy reach of all local amenities. We enjoyed our time here so much that we will be returning. Thank you!

Friendly and helpful owners.

Lovely accommodation. Clean and spacious, and in a quiet location with Frinton on Sea just a 30 minute walk away. Lovely walking to Walton and Clacton plus an excellent bus service to both locations as well as Colchester. Also there is a good train service. There is a splendid garden centre half way to Frinton on Sea that also has a very friendly and yummy tea room.

Lovely spacious accommodation.

Very clean. Comfy beds. Everything we needed for our break. Cooking equipment very good. Very nice welcome basket and lovely to have a pint of milk in fridge, eggs and a loaf of bread. Had no issues so didn’t meet the owners but would like to say thank you to them.

What a joy it was to spend a whole week at “Little Haven”.

Everything was perfect, so clean, comfortable and spacious. We had everything we needed and more. The welcome basket was so generous. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We look forward to booking again very soon.

This property is excellent for short or long stays we were there for 28 days.

It has everything you could possibly need and the hosts are really attentive if you need them otherwise you don't see them.

An excellent property with all facilities to make it a brilliant place to stay.

Self catering is so easy in this well equipped rental, parking is simple, cleanliness is first class and the welcome hamper is incredible. Have stayed on two occasions and intend to make a third one day. Can’t recommend more.

Can’t believe how much space there is inside!

The property has everything one needs So clean and comfortable just perfect not far from the beach wonderful

This property is well equipped and immaculate.

The bijou accommodation is perfectly suited for anyone with mobility problems, even the "garden" is a perfect space for relaxing, with a table, and chairs that fold away. The owners have added "foliage" and insects to make up for the limited outside space. A perfect location to enjoy the coastal area of Frinton, Clacton and Holland on Sea, with a small Tesco's for shopping if needed. The Welcome pack was very generous. I thoroughly recommend it.

We absolutely loved our stay at little haven.

The owners provided everything that was needed and much much more. There was a lovely hamper of treats when we got there which we all loved. The bedroom was extremely comfy. There was everything we needed in the kitchen. Even juice, milk and eggs. The bathroom was great. Couldn't fault this place at all. It's a wonderful stay extremely clean and comfortable. A clock on the wall would have been helpful. Overall a high standard of accommodation and on arrival the place was spotless. The owners had thought of everything and a welcomed hamper and the basics like milk and bread were appreciated. Plus things like washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets and washing tablets were provided. The place was well equipped. Very pleasing and we will come again.

Outstanding from the moment we arrived to the moment we left we couldn't fault the property.
