Really lovely accommodation and very welcoming owners.

There is everything you could possibly wish for, sparkling clean and very well appointed. Lovely retreat for a well-earned rest!

Everything about West End including hosts, Mel and Julia, was perfect.

As mentioned by other reviewers the fridge was stocked with milk, butter, orange juice, jam, marmalade, fresh fruit, beer and there were even tea bags and pods for the coffee machine. The studio was compact but light and airy and there was everything required . If you did need anything extra you only had to ask, but the information about places to visit and local walks was comprehensive as well as all the instruction manuals for everything. A beautiful area with lots to do and a wonderful place to stay. A perfect 5 stars from us!

Very clean and well equipped.

Property owners approachable and friendly . Older visitors may experience difficulties with the TV workings and cooker operation as we did . All very modern .Information packs provided to help .Small roped off piece of garden for hirers use with garden chairs provided .Moderately quiet location , several attractions within easy reach , river , windmill and 25 minutes from the sea .

Julia and Mel were perfect hosts and everything about the accommodation was ideal for me.

It's a great space, bright and airy. All the rooms were high spec. and well finished. The kitchen was well equipped with all you'd need on your holiday, regardless of the weather. Julia and Mel were there if they were needed, but were not at all intrusive; I could have been staying in a remote cottage. West End is well situated for exploring the Suffolk countryside and I'd be very happy to come back. I was there to walk and cycle for a week and I hardly used my car at all. I just set off directly from the house.

All you could possibly hope for, most comfortable bed, comprehensively equipped kitchen, great toilet and shower room, and a very useful welcome pack, including beer and wine. Close to amenities and buses to travel to the many places of interest in the area. Would thoroughly recommend and will be revisiting in the future.

On arrival at the property we were warmly greeted by Julia, made to feel very welcome and accompanied to the accommodation.

The studio apartment forms part of the main building but is completely autonomus which made it very private and very quiet. Spotlessly clean, the apartment has everything one might need for a short stay and more impressively everything that you may not ever have thought of but you just might need! A welcome pack included milk, butter, fruit, juice, beer and cordial and even a par baked pack of pastries in the freezer. The overall standard of appliances is extremely high, the bed was very comfortable as were the other furnishings. The shower room facilites are excellent - the shower tray has a non slip floor. Wi fi is excellent. There is use of a private outdoor area which marginally overlooks the hosts extensive gardens laid to lawn and mature plants and shrubs. This is possibly one of if not the best accommodation we have stayed in and would highly recommend it. Many thanks to Julia and Mel a most enjoyable stay.

Clean and well equipped, in a great location, with a generous welcome basket of goodies. Lovely underfloor heating for cold December nights. Excellent!

This accommodation was outstanding.

The owners live on the adjoining property and were very friendly. Everything that could possibly be needed was provided. There was a 'welcome' pack in the fridge and also fresh fruit in a bowl. The bed and furniture was extremely comfortable. The garden was lovely. We hope to return again. Denise & Jeff

West End.

We found the apartment easily. There is a signposted parking space on the drive. A new build, it is very nicely appointed with a fully equipped built-in kitchen, en-suite living area, dining table and a very comfortable bed. Everything is tastefully decorated and fresh. We felt at home immediately with places to hang our clothes properly. It seems the hosts, who are very welcoming and helpful, have thought of everything, obviously travellers themselves. After a cup of tea, we sat in the garden on arrival with a complimentary drink. The welcome pack and information folder is very comprehensive and has all you need. Wi-Fi was faster than home at 47Mbps, great! Over the next days we explored Woodbridge, Ipswich, Sutton Hoo and the coast. The two pubs on the main road, left and right walkable and good value and efficient. What a Birthday treat to stay at West End! Highly recommended.

Very pleasant modern ground floor apartment tucked away at the back of the owners' house.

I found it very comfortable, with nice furniture, efficient heating, good WiFi and helpful friendly owners. I'm very happy to recommend it.

Wow beautiful apartment immaculate you couldn't wish for a nicer place to stay Julia and Mel were lovely they gave us any information we needed well set out plenty of equipment ie cutlery cooking equipment knives glasses cups butter and milk in fridge water plain and flavoured tea and coffee plenty to see and do went to red lion down the road for lunch.

Very clean, comfortable and well equipped. We really appreciated the essentials left in the fridge for us when we arrived. Mel and Julia, our hosts, were very helpful with information about local places to visit. Would highly recommend West End.

We visited "West End" for 3 nights in July.

According to the owner, the place has only been open to guests in the past three months. Although it's clean and quiet, it's really disappointing to find that it wasn't finished. The skylight (two windows) didn't have blinds apparently they're coming soon. (No good to us though). A tarpaulin type cover was in place, which blew around in the night, which sounded like someone moving things around outside, and let significant light in as it wasn't very dense. Chain fell off another blind and both were rectified the next day. Even with "black out" blinds, the large room has eight windows (including doors, skylight), it is bright. If you like a dark room beware. Sadly the owner who we made every effort to engage positively with, didn't seem to accept positive criticism to improve things. He literally rolled his eyes when I mentioned the bright WiFi light directly above the bed and said someone else "moaned" about a light on the microwave. As someone who visits many similar places, it's always nice to offer feedback to the owner, but walked away feeling angry, that was disrespectful to me whilst trying to help. Perhaps a customer service course would help ?

A lovely place to stay and the hosts Mel and Julia were really helpful.

It was so peaceful and quiet and we really enjoyed watching the birds and squirrels in the garden. Mel was really helpful and informative about the local walks, which we really enjoyed exploring the Suffolk countryside, and about the local facilities - The Red Lion pub for eating, Sutton Hoo, etc. The only drawback was the early morning light from the kitchen skylights, hopefully that is being addressed. Thank you for a lovely stay.

A very spacious and comfortable studio, a cut above the rest.

So many extras and the owners are very helpful. We didn’t find any problems with the roof lights as exterior shading has been put in place until the interior blinds arrive. We would highly recommend this property, a quiet location but near to coast and country side.

Great communication from the owners, who were available if we needed anything, but didn't disturb our privacy. The property was very clean and beautifully furnished, with everything we could possibly need - very comfortable and peaceful. It was lovely to sit outside in the mature garden, listening to the birds at the start and end of each day. Would definitely recommend!

We only spent one night at property as the owners need to put blackout blinds on the skylights!

! We awoke when it got light about 4AM ish n couldnt get back to sleep!! We were shattered so decided to gohome! So not a good much needed break!

We stayed at this property for 4 nights.

It had everything you could need and was beautifully furnished and clean. The owners were really friendly and very helpful, but not intrusive. The only little niggle and it is a very little niggle, would be if there were blinds on the roof windows in the kitchen area as, because of the time of year, we were woken by daylight from 5.30am, but I think the owners are going to address this. Would highly recommend this property.

Hosts easily accessible if needed and very helpful. Highly recommended and sure to be very busy. No hessitation to stay here again!
