Communication by the property manager was fantastic. The setting lends itself to long walks and quiet evenings. The property is so well appointed, full kitchen that has every tool you might need, comfortable sitting rooms and perfect beds. This was a great stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Church House.

Brilliant location for both the coast and the mountains. The property was spotless, warm, tastefully furnished and very well appointed. The host, Jenny, was also very welcoming and made sure our stay was a smooth as possible. Highly recommended – we hope to stay again.

The house is lovely and well designed.

The kitchen is tiny but well equipped although storage space for food is limited. I am too short to reach the shelves (so take my own plates, mugs etc). The lady who greets guests is very friendly and welcoming.

A really lovely, homely and peaceful place, nothing flash, just straight forwards and everything you need if what you are looking for is to get away from everything for a few days.

" Set in a quiet and secluded location but with local amenities a few minutes walk away. Inside is more spacious than you expect with all mod cons and a fully equipped kitchen catering for everything you need for a week's home cooking. Tea, coffee, sugar and some very nice shortbread biscuits were provided. Jenny herself was very friendly as ever both on line and face to face dropping in on us to make sure we had everything we needed for our stay. The level of cleanliness throughout again was excellent. We took our friend this time and we all had a wonderful, relaxed and comfortable holiday. A very comprehensive information pack is available. This time we visited Inverewe Gardens (just along the road) which turned out to be a great day out. Hopefully circumstances willing we'll be booking again.

I was very happy in the cottage in spite of spells of wintry weather.

After all, what do you expect in November! The surrounding area is beautiful and there was a lot to explore. The local general shop was very convenient, and the hotel at Aultbea was very welcoming too.

We have had the most amazing holiday at Church House.

Jenny , who manages the property had decorated the house for Christmas so it felt very festive. Church House is a lovely property to rent and we are looking forward to returning at some time in the future. Jenny kept us informed of days for the bins to be emptied and text us to say we could book in earlier if we so wished due to a cancellation, this was really helpful and Jenny also sourced us places to have a Christmas evening. A very comfortable and well equipped little house in a great location for exploring the area around Poolewe.

We had a most enjoyable week at Church House. It had everything we needed including the best selection of maps and local guides that we have ever found in a holiday cottage. Jenny and Heather take great care of Church House and their guests and are quick to respond to any requests, questions or issues. The village shop is very well stocked and the staff there are another great source of local information.

Property was very well presented with many little "extras" included and it was good to find everything working and no questions necessary.

Lots of useful input from the owner which made us feel welcome from the word go.

The cottage had everything we needed and was a great base to explore this beautiful part of Scotland. It even stayed dry for the whole week.

One of the very best holiday cottages we've stayed in.

Spacious, well equipped and comfortable with an excellent welcome and information pack. From the time we booked, Jenny sent us friendly, informative and helpful communications. She also popped in to meet us and asked if anything was lacking. We mentioned a couple of minor things, which she acted on immediately. There is a small shop/post office with helpful staff just 2 minutes walk from the cottage. Inverewe Gardens NTS just under a mile around Loch Ewe were beautiful and there were various walks from Poolewe. A really lovely place to relax and enjoy Wester Ross.

Good location for walkers. House was immaculately clean and tidy and had all the facilities needed for a very comfortable and relaxing week in the area.

Church House is a beautifully maintained modern bungalow, with everything necessary for a comfortable stay in Poolewe.

We were given a very friendly welcome - a lovely cottage conveniently situated in the centre of Poolewe, close to the superb village shop and two excellent cafes.

The hotel with bar is very close and of course Inverewe Gardens are within walking distance. We highly recommend this property.

We found the cottage to be an excellent and comfortable base for our modest travels around the area.

Also all possible covid precautions were in place and these were clear and concise. We were also most fortunate to meet the proprietor in person and found her to be a gracious and lovely, kind lady :-)

Absolutely perfect cottage for a relaxing holiday.

Host made sure there was a light on for our arrival, and checked in on day 1 to make sure we had everything we needed. The decor and facilities were lovely and have no hesitation in recommending the cottage. Five stars first class. We will be back.

Our visit to Inverewe Garden was really very good, and our Dailly drives to remote places of the beaten track, the view's are stupendous

Church House is a delightful compact cottage with everything needed for a comfortable stay.

The property was spotlessly clean, beds were comfortable and the main room was warm and cosy. The smart TV and Wi-Fi worked fine and were very useful on cold wet evenings. The local area is stunning and we had a lovely weeks break. Would thoroughly recommend the property.

Lovely cottage in Poolewe.

We loved staying here and were sad to leave. The cottage was spotless and had hand sanitiser at the front door for us to use. Although some things have had to be removed due to Covid it still had everything that we needed. Great communication from the owner before and during our stay. Poolewe is lovely and we drove to lots of lovely areas round about for walks and beaches. A particular highlight for us was a Boat trip in Gairloch where we were lucky to see lots of dolphins close up. We also loved Inverewe Gardens and the Gairloch Museum. We hope to visit Church House again soon.

Third time at this property, which speaks for itself.

Was pleased to find SmartTV had been installed. Felt assured that all precautions regarding Covid-19 safety had been taken. Beautiful area which never ceases to amaze.

A lovely and comfortable cottage in the village of Poolewe.

The owner has gone to great lengths to make sure the property is COVID safe. We had a minor problem with the Wi-fi when there, but the owner was able to help us out, and that’s now been rectified. Highly recommend if you’re after a comfortable and well-equipped base from which to explore this beautiful corner of Scotland.

The TV pixels on all stations were continually breaking up and WiFi connection was very slow.

Probably because of the location with surrounding hills. With incessant rain and no tv we decided to cut short our break 2 days early. While the cottage was comfortable the facilities (eg night storage heaters) were fairly basic and to charge circa £650 for the week - or in our case 5 days - was excessive.

The owners paid every attention to making sure it was safe and we had everything we needed.

The beds were comfortable and the place was spotless. When there was a small problem they responded immediately. Highly reconmmend this cottage.

The cottage was exactly as described with one or two little extras thrown in ,small bottle of milk ,pack of shortbread etc small things I know but nice all the same .

It was ready and cleanliness was excellent .The parking space was in a gated yard in front of the cottage . Suitable parking is important to me and this could not be any better..Jenny answered a couple of questions I had quickly by email .The only downside was the slow WiFi .It was good enough to load basic information and in fact adequate for my use .but not fast enough to run a game for instance .This was not a problem for me but if a fast internet connection is vital to you it could be a problem .Other than that great.Handy shop across the road .We thought it was very good value. Electricity thrown in as well. Whats not to like.
